  1. Are you sure it's not MW's new way to charge people who want to see the parade?
  2. Personally I prefer my Logride's "Cage Free"
  3. Now if they just add some back into Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster. ..........
  4. It’s details like these that take MW to the next level. I know it’s just parking meters, but it’s these small details that add to the parks feel and theming, and add to the ‘magic’
  5. Hi all, Dreamworld have had a total of 4* steam train driver/engineers. As of last year there is now only one remaining. His name is Peter and last night (29th NOV) he celebrated his 30th year as a driver/engineer for the Dreamworld railway and it is rumoured the steam train will make a return for the Christmas school holidays🚂
  6. Seems today there have been a lot of new changes implemented at MW. Some just minor, but some quite big changes, and I hear there are more to come Firstly, the two that have already been shared: 1hr Free Superman locker hire And the new Fast Track including DC Rivals Next, all DC Villains Unleashed elements are now FREE. They are no longer selling the wristbands and instead have attached two at every station. Which meant when I visited there were people throughout the whole area interacting with them (And there were staff assisting people too) Lex Luther has returned And the signs which advertised the bands have been replaced There was also this new character in Main Street. Anyone know who she is? And the Great Gatsby have returned, with a drive up and down Main Street, and then a performance also ' Couple of other things: - You no longer exit through the turnstiles, instead through the gate on the far right (as you are leaving) - No more Credit Card Charges - And there are staff roaming throughout the park with iPads receiving feedback from guests. I imagine this could all be due to the new CEO and is listening to what guests are saying.
  7. Volcano is now complete, and sea animal figures have appeared throughout (Photos TPSN)
  8. Maybe they are bringing back the vintage cars that used to sit in Main Street, and they’ve installed those meters in there for those cars
  9. Another small new bit of detailing outside the photo shop. There are two of these "expired" parking meters.
  10. Good to see a Christmas 4D show on, but I love the Looney Tunes one they currently have. It’s my favourite one they’ve had ever since Shrek. It’s the only one I’ve gone back to see multiple times, and hope it returns. If not, a new Looney Tunes in 4D would be great
  11. Another new character on Main Street today. Real movie-style magic for all ages!
  12. Why do the operators need to see the riders If they are in a cage anyway?
  13. Yeah - getting an idea of the kind of things you enjoy will help guide the advice you get. If you've been to other parks overseas, what did\do you like\enjoy and what aren't you a fan of? If you haven't been OS before, what do you like \ not like about our local parks? Beverly Hills isn't really super ideal for the LA run, but I guess if you've got decent access to transport - your own car etc, then not a big deal. Without exploring any of the other factors, for me, I would suggest Disneyland is still worth the visit even if you are going to WDW too. Disneyland is the original, and there are many little touches there that aren't present in the later versions. There's a sense of history there - walking the streets that Walt walked. There are also attractions that are unique to both sides of the US - and of course DCA has its uniqueness as well. Sadly Star Wars Land is slated for a 2019 opening Depending on what appeals to you, don't pass up an opportunity to visit a Six Flags park. Magic Mountain is usually the first suggestion for an LA based trip. Typically for the coaster junkie, given the park has the record for the most coasters in a park, and there's truly an offering there for everyone (except maybe Pushbutton). San Diego can also be worth the trip for Sea World if that appeals to you (noting that SeaWorld definitely has more rides and attractions than Sea World. Since you'll be so close though, don't pass up Knott's. It's how I wish Dreamworld could be (within budget constraints), and it truly has some very unique aspects that make it well worth the trip. Don't Miss \ Must See \ Do (my opinion only): I can't help you with Florida - its still on my wish list, but for LA: Knotts - catch Mystery Lodge. Ride the steam train and horse stagecoach. Ghostrider, Silver Bullet, Xcelerator, Montezooma - well, all the coasters really - while some aren't the newest technology, each has it's own little place. Sadly you've missed out on Boomerang which closed this year (bucket of shit though they may be, the V. Boomerang is special for me). Universal - Jurassic and Mummy, don't miss Animal Actors or the Special Effects show, and of course the backlot tour. Disney - Space, Splash, Mansion, Pirates, Big Thunder and Indy - for me, in that order (if they're open). Aim to catch Fantasmic, and the fireworks if you can. DCA - Not sure whats happening with the park at the moment - haven't kept up to date but I know theres a huge reno going on. Again, if open - Cal Screamin', Midway Mania, Soarin' and of course World of Color. SFMM - Revolution for me is a classic, but i think more because its one of the most featured coasters in film rather than for any ride quality. Still a classic though. X2 is completely unmissable, and with the array of coaster styles in the park, you've got to try each one - Tatsu is my number one there, and Riddler's for the unique stand up position, and of course the classic twist on Colossus.

  15. Basically I think that what is is saying is that any customer that thinks $200 for an annual pass is too expensive is no longer the customer the park wants... and it's about time!
  16. About time. Good to see they've upped the price and removed all other forms of pass. I think this is still a good price (But happy to see locals get a discounted price). Im sure there will be complaints about the price increase, but it really still isnt expensive. Especially when it includes WC and Carnivale.
  17. The "bank" at Movie World is no longer the Membership Centre. That makes me think they probably are phasing out memberships.
