  1. So…………………………………………………………………………………….. (long, long pause) This has appeared in Parkz theme park database as an announced ride. What do we think this steel coaster would be and what do you get for $20m? https://www.parkz.com.au/parks/AU/Gold_Coast/Dreamworld/ride/4313-Unknown_Steel_Roller_Coaster
  2. But more importantly, what colour will the steel be painted?!
  3. Earth moving equipment now on site
  4. Wasnt sure where else to put this pic :)
  5. The Wedgie and Green Room are both currently getting a repaint
  6. OH GOD! HOW DARE THEY CLOSE RIDES I'M PROBABLY NOT GOING TO RIDE ON DURING THE COLDER MONTHS! WHAT IF ON THE SPUR OF THE MOMENT I DECIDE I NEED A RIDE ON THE GREEN ROOM? HOW RUDE! HOW INCONSIDERATE! HOW TOTALLY FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS OF ME! THIS REALLY BUGGERS ME OFF!
  7. 2 points
That could be due to the increased focus both regulatory and public on ride safety. Funhouses have less risk, less moving parts and therefore require less “work” and are accessible to a larger demographic
  8. On the plus side, it's good to see Victorian parks continue to prove to Sydney and Gold Coast that continued investment of waterslides is viable. On the negative, looks like a waterslide fucked a parrot. I sure hope these guys have figured out what the colours are going to look like in 10 years when its all faded and dirty. At least single-colour slides are easy to re-paint. That one is going to be a nightmare. Not sure what they think a 'tsunami' is, other than 'generic word for cool waterslide' - because this doesn't resemble it.
  9. The show is probably not running for a couple days due construction
  10. WWF is under maintenance until further notice
  11. ^ same @Brad2912 - just 2 in my immediate family and already we are looking at $70 just to get in the door! Without trying too hard, we will throw $300 on said day and one that just cannot justify in the fun budget for any given August I'm afraid. Not to mention the cold/flu bugs that the event is notorious for.🤒🤕🥳 🤧😷
  12. Why would they waste the money to relocate the VC to prime land?
  13. I know what is going there.
  14. Not even a smidge of vaso on the ol cheeks?
  15. Well that is great news and if it does set to cost that much, that is a great investment from the park that will hopefully pay off. And if it does indeed open late next year, that will be good competition against SW with their new coaster. Lets hope DW get something never before seen in Australia.
  16. I'm so tough @AlexB I'll ride it without water, tubeless and bareass.
  17. i tend to get myself into trouble when I do that.
  18. On absolute pure coincidence... QLD and VIC School holidays start 21 September. ACT, NSW, SA, WA, TAS and NT School holidays start 28 September. If it goes down for more maintenance after 7 or 14 October, i'd say we can confirm cost cutting.
  19. TOT is down for maintenance again, this time for 2 months
  20. Looks like theres also a new set of dodgems for the kids carnival, as well as 2 new fun-houses - 'Pirates Nest,' which looks to be quite good and 'Enchanted Circus' which did Sydney this year, and was one of my favourites. It's strange seeing an influx of funhouses at the moment, guess they bring in the money, which is what the owners want. Hope they both do well.
  21. The ride list just got released for this years EKKA https://www.ekka.com.au/rides I believe xxxl will be the only “new” addition this year
  22. The DW park map has been updated and has removed Wipeout and Trolls The hot wheels stuff has been added under the listing of Ocean Parade And Sky Voyager is no longer listed as new
  23. He is coming back. I will just wait for him to return. The shops only five minutes away. Yep.........he will be back soon.
  24. Vintage Cars will be relocated within 12 months.
  25. That is important but I think my dreams of a RMC hybrid have been crushed again.😥
