So I decided to make a little rough concept art for an expansion and remodel of WNW. With Mach 5 gone and the unsure outcome with Black hole. I thought if they decided to gut the entire H2O zone and start from scratch this would be a cool idea. This is a rough concept so excuse the quality. This plan has the follow: New food outlets around the area along with lockers, toilets etc... Water slide Wheel (White Water West) A Mammoth style water coaster (ProSlide) Rain-fortress and Splash pad area (White Water West) Tower 1: (Proslide) Tornado 60 enclosed Tornado Wall 60 Tantrum Alley Tower 2: (Proslide) Bowl Alley Family raft slide UFO Raft slide Tower 3: (Polin) 2 Family single raft slides Corba Waterslide I feel like this plan gives the park some good solid waterslides for thrill seekers and family. Along with some gimmicky stuff and world class stuff. I doubt we would ever see investment off this size at WNW. But we can dream. (Also the Poling slide complex comes from the original concept art from Outback Splash)

So glad to see something done and dusted bring torn down there and not just sitting rotting away. It’s funny it’s another park that’s meant to be ‘under new management’ but really seems the main place that’s happening is a few km down the road. Such a big change in the Oxenford parks in the last couple years and now seems WnW is getting the attention we’ve recently seen at MW.

Huss Engineers are in QLD doing 2 week Quarantining according to Mr Kirby Vortex should be opening late November hopefully.

InB4 we learn that Dreamworld just painted the coaster to make her look good for potential foreign buyers...

What do you think they would have called it after being upgraded, something like Tower of Terror II?

And you know that the ride wasn’t checked over before proceeding with work? That’s a very big assumption especially considering this change over/ retheme has been in the works for over 12 months now (IP application for the name Gold Coaster was submitted in September 2019). Steel Coasters aren’t immune from track issues such as steel fatigue, one only has to look at Jet Rescue for a recent example. It’s not uncommon for many steel coasters to get touch ups here and there throughout its life. It’s when those become larger problems that we need to be concerned.

It's a 25 year old coaster, so we shouldn't be surprised if that's the case. I know everyone was excited about the repaint for some reason but it was literally just lipstick on a very painful pig.

Claw and Giant Drop are the only worthwhile rides in the park these days which is a very depressing thought.

Great to see Sea World looking like a theme park again and not a glorified Aquarium!

Won't lie the coaster is looking amazing from pictures I've seen within WWW.

Also, every other future works will need the same level of detail increasing future costs.

In the queue of the justice league there is a sign that says no food or drinks are allowed inside, so instead everyone piles up there rubbish before entering the queue

DW and WWW will have extended trading from 9:30-5 between 27/12 and 31/12. I definitely think they should have extended until 6 (maybe even 7) and at least until the second week of Jan. Extending for an extra 30 minutes for 4 days doesn’t really seem worth it

The park updated the rides website a couple months ago and is expected to be open late Summer, possibly towards Easter (depending on whether there are more delays or not) We think the ride was delayed to do the original contractors pulling out of the job and it took some time to find a new one

VRTP didn’t do it this year
