  1. To be honeat I'm just glad it's not a shit storm.
  2. That video took me 2 minutes to make 😂 Here's the more descriptive one that i make every week
  3. Coaster nerd in me wants to point out how clones are often never truly a clone. The loop supports have been redesigned from the earlier models.
  4. I like how they have put up a sign about the ride outside the queue area of the Giant Drop.
  5. Below is a quick tiktok video of the boomerang coaster and a couple of the kiddy rides. Screen_Recording_20210418-233250_TikTok_1.mp4
  6. I'd like to think they all got suitably slapped down by the most recent court actions, followed by the very publicly voiced ministerial level support. LPS cocked up Hairraiser, and they were rightfully cooked over that - but the noise about volare was lower key because Brookfield crossed their Ts correctly. They're probably all very familiar by now with the residents that cause the most ruckus, and I daresay this development was probably shared with them before the public announcement.
  7. I actually think Sledgehammer is the next ride they will build since they have that area the tidiest compared to silly sub and loopy lighthouse
  8. They have started to pour concrete into the tall form work this morning
  9. Boomerang testing? Might need a good eye for this
  10. I believe the last one was Huracan at Six Flags Mexico. According to Wikipedia, that ride closed in 2019 and has since been removed.
  11. Rides probably required a lot less scrutiny before one of them killed 4 people too. Though I know that the parks have also used the 'enhanced maintenance requirements' reason when they are simply waiting on parts or don't have the maintenance resources to do the full inspection yet
  12. Given that the bubble only started today, and the first quarantine-free flights departing Aus didn't land until lunchtime (I can't find any flight times for NZ origin flights to BNE or OOL), I doubt any NZ Bubble flights arrived early enough this morning that folks went straight from the airport to movieworld en masse..
  13. Sorry, I thought it doesn’t show the link and actually embed’s the video like what's down below, More track is being installed around the loop area
  14. Aren't they literally the same height?
  15. So Rockin' Tug is definitely a permanent ride at Luna Park now, which I have no objection to; it's the perfect kind of family carnival ride suited for such a park. What I do have objections to, is it's current location. Right now the ride is right in between the Hair Raiser and Crystal Palace, which is a very tight area. I do not think the ride suits this spot; it looks very ill fitting, it looks cramped - they even took out some fencing on the Hair Raiser queue just so people have a clear space to walk past - and the "hire ride" nature of it just doesn't fit. On top of that, I'm pretty sure having the ride in this spot is in violation of the park's very own conservation management plan. There's one section in the plan that determines where rides can be placed in the park; the spot I've circled is where Rockin' Tug approximately sits: It appears the ride sits just outside of the permissible zone. Now there can be interpretations in regards to how "permanent" the Rockin' Tug is but in my view, with the ride now a permanent feature of the park, on top of blocking off open access, I don't think it fits this area at all and it should be relocated to a more suitable spot. Whether they have any room left within Maloney's Corner after the renovations, or they fill in and level the amphitheatre steps next to the Ferris Wheel (which is listed as a ride permissible zone), I feel the ride needs to be moved. And once it is, I think work should be done on it to make it look permanent, to keep consistent with the theming and direction of the park. So, bit of a long rant, but TL;DR - nice Luna Park has a Rockin' Tug, but it needs to be moved to a better spot and redone.
  16. I only got to ride Wipeout once and it was about 5 or 6 years ago. I've ridden Vortex and its good but in no way close to the insanity of that one ride on Wipeout. Vortex is still quite good, however it has really uncomfortable restraints, you can't put your hands up without rubbing arms with the person next to you.
  17. Confirming that I’ve just checked as I couldn’t believe they’d have implemented new restrictions on Gold Coaster just because they repainted the trains ... it’s minimum age of 10 if unaccompanied, no age restrictions if with an adult
