In truth I think the old nick shop will be knocked down and even the lair will be used since its been a waste of money since it doesnt get used we had lions for abit and now sometime the tigers go in there and since day one the actual habitat looked poor and not well look after so will be looked for Kung fu panda to move into that area a bit since it will have pohs garden

I love the demon to death and had ridden it to death but as much love I have for it, it's now too old if any park in Australia wants a boomerang it would be best to buy it new any ride over 20 years is a big risk even more so one that has alot of travel under its belt so in truth it should be time to say goodbye and thanks for the memories and send it to the scrap heap 1988-2012

I do believe it might still go ahead but at a later date as they have a lot of rides to replace and repair at the moment so when both looney tunes river ride and batman ride are finished I'm quessing around December 2013 this might be brought to the table the only issue for them would be will it work. I would love a new go kart track if the prices are good but how many people that come to movieworld etc would pay for it

Motocoaster at Dreamworld had a front line up, anywhere line up and sidecar and after awhile the pole position (front) was removed as having a line like that you do wait alot longer and people in the end didn't want to wait plus it's a crap ride too

the day i took the photos sky rocket was getting plainted in the same colours it seems so no change but it is getting a new coat on it

I know I still love the ride it could be the fact that I rode the roller coaster that was at Sydney easter show that was so rough but had that crazy drop even know green lantern isn't rough

On back on topic just anyone get the feeling while riding the green lantern that it's a carnival ride like a wild mouse. I love the ride and all but it doesn't feel like a theme park ride not like Superman or lethal weapon which I find very strange the more I ride it. Anyone had this problem or been able to get it out of there heads

As I couldn't find a topic just for this lets start one I'm currently at the park and the whole section has been closed and striped down also the old photo shop looks like a huge house/castle. There are also new temp rides been installed for the kids around the park one is next to the claw which is a small spinning chairs ride and out front of avpx is a small track with cars and bikes I will add more as I explore the park today. Also photos will be up for all of this when I get home

Let's get back on track in this topic the trains have been at movieworld for sometime and they are not flying so let's keep away from flying trains as they aren't fun anyway

You can count on It having something to do with arkham asylum as alot of people believed for along time for it to be batman themed but the nightmare hint surprises me as there is one character I would love to be very involved in this ride and it's not the joker it's scarecrow and his nightmare gas

i just want to update on the audio issues alot of people seem to be having as im yet to ride the green lantern without audio and i been on it 6 times on three different days and audio has always worked its seems like most people are short no offence as my wife is short and cant hear audio for the ride but im tall and my head is near the speakers so unless you have you head near the speakers you wont hear it during the ride and the audio only starts just before the lift hill. i have also spoken to staff about lifting the sound but they are saying that it is as high as it goes so sounds like a cheap system but anyway its a great ride which has to be ridden in different seats to get the full ride as each seat feels different

what a stupid post this is lethal weapon is the best roller coaster in Australia because its a true roller coaster not a simple airtime coaster. lethal has everything and a great speed that is solid for the whole ride and one that throws you around and around and inside out yes we know it has the head rest problem which i have learned to live with but we know lethal weapon as we know it is about to change to become something different the track wont change only the theme and new state of the art trains which look set to be ready to ride in less than 6 months. So no this doesnt need to be replaced its just about to be given a facelift and a whole new lease on life cause after all best coaster we have that knows what a coaster is meant to be. this is coming from someone who loves superman and rides similar around America but there are just airtime without really turning you upside down or keeping a constant speed

I also was there and had rode green lantern by 1020 but only issue is still audio I could just hear it but my wife couldn't hear a thing as she is shorter and not near speaker so it would be great to turn it up abit and that finally brake before the station is a bitch it's almost at bad as that looping coaster that was at the royal shows

Yea but you they would have to build some or retheme some rides to villains it might become dc superheroes australia but I hope not but lethal will be come a dc themed ride with a new train some time next year looking at mid 2012 and maybe batman replacement end 2012 which might just be a update to either a new d character or a more modern day batman

im guessing it was due to open today as it was listed as a ride for white christmas and you would expected it to be open for half the event but at its current state the rides station looks cheap and tacky so heres to wishing that they make it as good as all the major rides at movieworld(not including batwing)

hey all just letting you know i have uploaded a new green lantern testing video from today 3 december from a different angle link link will be live soon as upload is done also you can see the station which looks at the moment to be like shockwave at dreamworld which is disappointing but we will all wait and see what happens over the next two weeks

im wondering if the $2 million includes the trains as themeing which would take a large chunk out of that. on the plus side these look fantastic

well the harness free one at tamborine is now gone as was there a few weeks ago and every part had to be done with a harness and clipped on the one at front has been changed

buzzsaw is a great ride yes it short but its 10 times better than cyclone i have been on it four times and i waited an hour each time as it was holidays but it was worth it

Well I was there last night, second time I have been to Fright Nights. I was there two years ago and it seems to be totally toned down now... yes there is heaps of fog but there was almost no street actors last night to scare people. I think I spotted about 6 actors from main street to Saw. Batman Arkham Asylum was great alot of actors, loved the scarecrow from batman but I'm hoping that we use that costume for the batman show that is held on main street everyday as the current one is just a bag and really cheap looking. Also saw was great, 3d maze was just 3d but well done with a small amount of actors. Zombies was the one that failed the most as it was like what was at dreamworld a few years ago called freezer but only problem was it was huge at movieworld and there wasnt anyone to scare you inside, only a few people here and there just a long wait before you see anyone, so it was the biggest disappointment. Only got on two rides... one was lethal which is alot better at night and scooby at 10.30 as all other rides closed at 9pm so its hard to get alot done when its so busy. Overall it was a massive letdown and seem to be that its moved to family friendly. They have cut alot of the scare actors out and on top of the hours waits to get into all mazes and rides the queues are so boring as its just a line with security around no actors. rating 2/5 overall mazes 4/5 letdown by zombie rides 3/5 long lines 1 hrs plus actors 1/5 atmosphere 1/5 value 2/5

yeah well happy feet 2 comes out this year and would be a great replacement for seaworld if they kept the same dark water ride and upgraded the ride and added happy feet
