DC Rivals HyperCoaster construction discussion

Perhaps other non-coaster rides fare better: Lady Gay Tugboat, an Ariel themed ride...nah not much better. Far from being a misogynist, I'm all for girl themed coasters, perhaps a Hooters themed coaster (note: attempt at irony). -

I'd definitely like to ride Wonder Woman, many times. I don't think we'll have any idea about this from official sources for a while, please prove me wrong MW. Female themed coasters: Rita (formerly Rita : Queen of Speed) at Alton Towers, Regina at Tobu Japan, Catwoman's Whip at Six Flags New England (that might have changed now) - wow, there's not many coasters named overtly after females. -
This story is such a slow news day chestnut. Looks like the poor 'ol Demon is going to get relocated again LOL (Brisbane - Sydney - Alabama - India and back to Sydney). As usual, filed under "believe it when I see it".

Finally getting my passport! Yay!!!!

La Ronde will cancel out any pleasure you derive from Cedar Point or Canada's Wonderland lol. ^I have no advice about Singapore. I've been on such tight stopovers on the way to Europe that I haven't even seen much of the airport. Looking forward to hearing about your adventures there. -
Arkham Asylum - VR coaster at Movie World

^^And a ball in the mouth like Pulp Fiction? From what I've heard from people who did the SF Version they were impressed and I'm talking about people not easily impressed. At least as an upcharge it should regulate demand and be more manageable. At SF parks where it's free I'm hearing horror stories about how the lines have been blowing out. I'll probably do it once to check it out. AA is ride I don't mind missing personally on a typical visit. -
@skeetafly Superman Escape - happy now backseat moderator? Like the actual moderators have stated, they have a pretty good set-up for ranking coasters based on reviews, and the number one result is going to be pretty obvious anyway. Why don't you a have a go at the other non-serious replies while you're at it keyboard warrior? Ooops I fed a troll, no more from me.

SuperBatman for the win. Can I also include the coasters I pretend I'm riding while on the LPS Wild Mouse lol?

Well the news I got while sleepwalking last night was this: Coming soon - Batwank: Escape from Movie World - will blow your mind. Movie World is just the start, it's going to make a right at the exit of the carpark and head down the highway to Sea World with 19kms of ejector airtime hills that will send coaster enthusiasts into their bedroom for some alone time. It's being part funded by the light rail as it will also be part of the Gold Coast public transport system with VRTP ticket holders riding free. Oh no it was all a dream while riding the express bus to movie world, sigh. -

Good to see some more infamous Parkz members getting a preview ride on Doomsday. Thanks for the coverage Theme Park Girl - looking forward to similar when the new coaster starts going up. -

^It's going to be duelling Expedition GeForce clones, or so the press release said that I received while sleepwalking. It will have a split personality theme based on the Jim Carrey movie Me, Myself and Irene - one side will be passive with lots of trim brakes and the other side won't. -

Nice, keep the photos coming. That bricklayer probably doesn't know he's a full blown celebrity on parkz right now - enjoy your 15 minutes son. The land itself is looking better by the day. -

I know it's not GeForce or even an approximation of such. It will be interesting to see what Intamin crams in there and whether it will have a very high point initially and then stay low to the ground like Intimidator 305 (and no, I don't think it will be a copy of I305). Though, personally I love the big airtime hills like Superman at Six Flags New England after the first turnaround. -

GeForce would be a fine addition to any park, even Holiday Park, it might be running when the original GeForce is broken down, derailed, lift hill problem they've never seen before lol. But a GeForce coaster doesn't give marketers a lot to work with as in it's not the biggest, or fastest, or does the most loops, not number 1 on Golden Tickets and so on. I guess time will tell as to what MW will be building, maybe soon there'll be no hiding it or they'll just tell us. -

^^Good call. I've been on a fair share of the tallest coasters in the world, but most of my personal top ten are under 200 foot. Though everything points to a big one, but we'll see. -

I was sleepwalking last night and a media release came in. The theme will be based on the film Priscilla Queen of the Desert and the coaster will be called Top Thrill Drag Queens. In an effort to save on construction costs MW have been collecting old KB steel cans and melting them down to provide materials. In all seriousness I think it will be an Intamin. -
Movie World Fright Nights 2016

I 'm glad they're doing Halloween 2 at HHN. The original H2 (not speaking for the Rob Zombie one) has so many great set pieces that would be perfect for a maze. -

The Purge would loan itself very well to a scare zone. At HHN Hollywood, they'd have a Purge leader on a microphone who would abuse people as they went by as well affirming the values of the purge which created a nice centrepiece scare zone - can't remember from last year, but I think they got rid of that feature (not Purge themed last year in that area) because someone got offended. I watched the movie The Purge not that long ago, it wasn't bad. I like they're doing this year at both HHN's in the US with Halloween, basing it on the second movie in the hospital which has some great set pieces for a maze. -

Apparently this topic is now the world's best - the longest discussion thread on an Intamin Twin Hammer in the history of humanity. I doubt they'd do it, but I wonder if they'd consider wild/mild ride cycle variations (like tango train at LPS)? It will be interesting to see what kind of ride cycles they will have available. -

The world's first aquatrax* wacky worm (*feature only available during flooding). On special occasions the world's first underwater coaster. I guess that makes it world class and world's best, in some categories. -

That looks perfect for an Intamin hyper/giga/whatever with a narrow footprint in a L-shape going out along the northern perimeter of the carpark lol. I can dream. In reality, Swamp Dragon, will be the world's longest Dragon Wagon standing at an epic maximum height of 10 feet with 8000 feet of track to thrill your pants off. -

"World Class" leaves a lot of room for interpretation. If you believe Alton Tower's PR department they would have you think "13" is the most amazing coaster ever (I can assure you it wasn't, by any measure). But here's hoping MW's coaster lives up to the hype, Intaminadator 500 might be a blast. VR would be good for and older attraction like Arkham Assylum, perhaps in the form of a full helmet with padding (that would have been especially great with the old restraints). -

I don't like spinny rides, they leave me pretty legless.
