  1. What else do they do with subterranean work besides drainage and services?
  2. You make a very compelling argument @MickeyD
  3. Why do peoples' opinions matter? Ardent tried to run WWW as a separate park and they wouldn't incorporate it into DW if it was working. WWW is a great water area but Ardent needed to expand it if they wanted people to keep coming back. The last new attraction was 3 years ago, with Triple Vortex and 4 years before that with The Wedgie. One new attraction every 3 to 4 years is not going to make customers want to return every year.
  4. As they say when in Canada go to Canada's Wonderland. Ok, I made that up but hopefully you did. I have 2 and you can decide which one you will review. Leviathan or Behemoth
  5. Can you give us a list of countries you have visited?
  6. I think people are just making up stuff as they go @Reanimated35 Where did you pull this timeline from?
  7. @Theme Park Girl One of the reasons for making less money in Ardent's update was- "Increases in fixed operating expenditure primarily related to greater employee headcount to support attractions maintenance and development." I think they have committed extra money to getting the rides open. I believe the incident has caused DW to be gun-shy or more reluctant to open rides unless they are running at 100%..
  8. I agree with this @MickeyD Ardent need to show their hand and I think by removing this would show a commitment to DW. Having a fence up does nothing to stop me from thinking about when I walk past. For now I would be happy for them to clear the site and lay some turf. I don't agree with this.
  9. @Theme Park GirlIt looks like the kids have left a crayon on the parcel shelf and it has melted in the sun.
  10. Has the lights just come on to where this is going?
  11. Another one that joins the ever-growing list of uncertainty.
  12. I don't know of any regulations changes that would impact SW.
  13. The approval to remove the ride has finally shown up to remove the slide. Something I found interesting on the applications description. Application Number: BLD201705345 Description: DEMOLITION (PARTIAL DEMOLITION OF TOWER AND DISMANTLE WA Code: BUILDING Class: DEMOLITION Work: DEMOLISH Lodged: 04/05/2017 The application sees it dismantling the water slides but only ask for an PARTIAL removal of the existing tower. This leaves a few questions to be answered. 1. Does SW want the tower to naturally rust away? 2. Is the description of the application incorrect? 3. Is something new going to be added to the existing tower? I really hope the tower does not end up like DW's Skylink Chairlift.
  14. I don't know if I would say coloured perfectly at the track doesn't match the Joker.
  15. To add to what @djrappa said the grout has no structural strength and the rods carry the full load of the supports. The supports work fine without the support ever touching the pile cap and the gap being maintained. The reason they grout under the supports is it completely seals under the support removing one of the elements that causes rust. (oxygen) In theory you could use loads of silicone but grout requires less maintenance.
  16. Best photo I have ever seen TPSN take. Gives a good view of the change in direction.
  17. The last footing label before the lift hill is labeled K08. That would make the number 9 support the first major support of the lift hill. Hopefully you remember the angled footings at the bottom of the lift hill, The angled footings are not part of the standard K supports so it will be the first support after the track connects to the angled footings.
  18. Nice work Push I got the drive-by shot. Or the I really need to clean my windscreen shot.
  19. Didn’t Sea Viper outlast the Thunderbolt? I’ve seen rust on the Green Lantern Coaster too and it’s younger then the slides.
  20. Come on @Theme Park Girl you don't sound excited. You can see in your pictures that they have started the construction of the TopGolf building in the background.
  21. I think of the Flash turnaround more of an Inclined 1/2 loop because of direction the train travels through the element. The inclined dive is taken from the stunt plane manoeuvre where the plane start at the top of the loop and turns down. Flash starts at the bottom of the loop and travels upwards throughout the element. I suppose you could say the Flash does the incline dive loop in reverse.
  22. What issues are you talking about?
  23. The Joker's car in Suicide Squad has an interesting colour. This isn't the car from the movie but a car build shop apparently go the the specs and built for a client. This was supposedly taken of the cars arriving to do the scene in the movie. LOL everybody saying they have the photo. Interesting colours.
  24. Or script edited. I just thought the same thing. Everybody take note. Alexb did not wake up in the last shower. @Levithian Why make one when I already have one.
