New screen in Sea World Plaza

Featured Replies

They've installed a screen in the Plaza now. Like it did for MW, i think it's ruined the look of the facades. I don't know why they didn't take the opportunity to design the space around this screen, so they didn't have to fix it onto the poles. (Photo TPSN)

Facade door I believe, you can see an outlet in next door in the photo.

As for the tv... meh. Why? I'd rather they put the $$$ that went into that into a full page advert in the GCB advertising their nameless Coaster

What's shown on the screen? It makes perfect sense to have the big screen at Movie World, but I'm really not too sure about this much smaller one at Sea World.

The big screen at Movie World is used to great effect for nighttime events, private events etc.

Since the roof at Sea World appears to have the primary function of providing a nighttime event precinct, I would suggest the TV screen has the same basic purpose.

During the day it can "Introduce Village E-serve!", and at night it can run related imagery, live video etc, without the need for messy projection set ups etc.

Village eserve isn't available at SW yet so you should be safe.

Aside from MickeyD's observation about what it looks like, it also seems like its been placed in the narrow part of the plaza facing the games rather than in the open area of the plaza.  As for content, short ads to get you excitited for stuff in park (Shows, ride, that sort of thing) with nice 5-10min features about an aspect of Sea World's animal care team (think custom segments from those behind the scenes at the zoo shows) playing at a non obnoxious volume throughout the day would be very appropriate.

You mean like Trevor's piece for the Jet Rescue queue? Hell yeah!
