The cars really do slam to a stop on the final break run. The ride however is very fun and soild, but Superman Escape is still my favorite coaster (behind Supersonic Odyssey and Space Mountain at HKDL) It would be my 5th favorite ride behind those 3 and Scooby Doo. The theming in the queue isn't anything extravagant but it's very presentable however and I think it will be a hit with the park for years to come.

A Eurofighter or something smallish like that would suit the park really well... I'd love to see something like Mystery mine

Depending on what the breakdown is will determine if you would be able to stay in the car while it's fixed or be removed from the ride. Considering it's in testing stages (Soft opening) still they probably wouldn't know how long it would take to be operational again so they would have probably evacuated the ride. Sadly that's one of the things with a soft opening, they can open AND close at any time and even if you are in the queue you might not actually be able to ride.

Also, you are able to upgrade the "Locals Summer Pass" at the gate for 20 dollars for entry up until the 30th of June. They probably offered the 10 dollar White Christmas tickets for VIP pass holders so they could get the numbers because they might have been lacking (50 dollars at the gate is a bit much honestly... considering fright nights was only 40) But when they did this they got more demand than anticipated.

The coaster was manufactured SBF Visa

Cars are not on track at this stage, it's mostly groundwork going on right now and what appears to be final checks on the tracks with staff in cranes inspecting the joints mostly. Hopefully testing will begin soon though

Well... could you imagine the operators on the Wipeout trying to walk down past every seat to make sure they are locked in... would be a bit awkward to say the least

Also, today Green Lantern's trains were delivered and covered in wrap. I can however confirm from getting a glimpse that they are 4 abreast with the lap bars shown in the pictures. Hopefully testing should start in the next week or 2.

As of 6pm today the last barrel roll was completed on Green Lantern

Alot of B-Double Trailers (I think 6 or 7 for Pirates Revenge)
-
I've met the following members from Parkz: Richard, DjRappa, Gazza, Joz, Jagggy and a few others

Judging by the pics that I have seen, this ride is an identical layout to "Pirates Revenge" that travels to the major shows. Based on how drenched you get on that ride, this attraction is sure to be a soaker!

I will be at the fright nights on the 8th, however I will be working not as a guest. I'm planning to go on the 15th.

Here is 3 photos taken at 3pm today, the lift hill has started to be built now. So far we have the station through to the 1st section of Lift Hill in place. Sorry they aren't the best photos, they were snapped up on my phone.

I ended up winning one of the tickets from one of the other sites on Friday morning which is why I didn't end up sending you guys an e-mail that night about the tickets. It is however great to see the parks branching out to us and offering us these kind of exclusives. Can't wait to see everyone tomorrow!

Paralympian Movie World Embarrasment
Spotty replied to aussienetman's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I'm a mixed bag of emotions in regards to this news. I can see where both sides are coming from with this policy. I honestly don't see how anyone could be ejected from Road Runner but other rides I could see why they might be nervous after the Superman: Ride of Steel accident at Darien Lake earlier in the year (Which is what Movie World is obviously referring to) as they don't want even the slightest chance of it happening again within the park. While yes it is a shame for Tracy, safety always comes first. I'm sure they would have individually assessed her still as to what rides she could go on. I would assume the rules for most rides would be you need to be able to hold on to the harness without any assistance and be able to place at least one limb on the ground of the carriage at all times (except Lethal Weapon and Batwing obviously) and I do understand the park's stance on this now. Especially if a review in the companies policy allowed her to ride a few years ago. I will also say I'm very glad that the park refunded half the VIP pass cost so that she can still attend with her family, which goes to show that there is still customer service around. It may not be much but it's still something. -
Hopefully not for too much longer...

As of around 1pm today Shockwave has reopened. Buzzsaw's area and gold rush in general is looking great. Even the balloon game in the old Eureka queue has been spruced up and doesn't actually look tacky anymore. I saw Buzzsaw testing today, and I thought the X car's did the full circuit, then went up the lift and back down the spike once before the lift caught it and slowly lowered it down. But as it's seen in the videos it just coasts for a minute or so before stopping. Hopefully that's not how the ride will operate once open next weekend as it will reduce capacity. Also just an idea, maybe we could have an "unofficial" Parkz meetup next Saturday for the rides opening?

If Bob Tan becomes the CEO of Dreamworld / WhiteWater World, I will say that the park will be in very good hands. That man really does know what he's doing as far as rides and development go and I'm sure that he will do great things. We can only hope I guess...
