ANOTHER bird? If that keeps happening they are going to have to have a special code for that too! I do remember the Wild World incident... lets just say after the 1st show, they stopped the tower running when they were sending the Peregrine Falcon off the tower!
-
LOL... Thats a stuff up and a half!
-
Hmmm... Slowing down mid launch is understandable as that would be a common Drive Trip. However having it suddenly accelerate again... thats not so normal And since when has the Tower NOT been Ebraking lately!
-
I honestly have NO idea why that rule is in Place, I haven't heard them enforcing it lately, it just depends which op you have I guess. A lot of the things Dreamworld do I have no idea about, So I just don't bother questioning it anymore!
-
Hmm... I still like the "If you are over 5ft 10, please remove your shoes as it helps the bars close" rule. And the Tower is really starting to show it's age. Was it stopping mid launch and slowing to a stop or e-braking (going into the Bog Pit behind the station)?

Why must we be cursed with the BAD Intamin rides! At least give us a good one Sea World! I am sure it will be better than Motocoaster, because of the location. But we can only hope Intamin have fixed the issues that Motocoaster has for this ride. -
Ah... nothing like a good old E-brake. I just love some of the peoples faces as it happens. It's hard to describe but it's sort of a "WTF... Should we have come back out of the station!?" Face. That and I'm sure the ops appreciate the little break they get when it happens.

Not to mention the very creaky noises... but that's a whole other story!

If it's truly a Intamin Motocoaster, I don't think it will be very creative... I mean look at MotoCoaster But then again it is Sea World, and they always make there rides creative. I mean look at Bermuda and the Vikings Revenge, how well are they suited for there environments. I'm just hoping that when track arrives it ends up being Vekoma track and not Intamin! -
Hmm... so thats what that Cherry Picker is for. We now know everything ahaha! I also love it when Claw turns into a Carousel after a fault
-
Wow, some old stuff there! I have various WLS maps and Movie World maps from over the years somewhere. And how retro was that "WordArt" Bermuda Triangle photo folder! I have one somewhere. Thanks for sharing these with us Gazza!

Ah yes, Lethal Weapon lifthill issues... I remember in 2004 when it was constantly stopping and starting and then BANG... the whole motor crapped itself. That was almost a brown pants moment, i'll tell you that! If I remember correctly about 3 days later there was a crane removing the top of the ride and installing a new motor! I've also had various general ride faults, from Tower of Terror doing a Drive Trip, and the Drop stalling halfway up the tower. As well as Claw faults, Cyclone etc. It's not a day at Dreamworld for me with at least one thing going wrong...But lately it's been alright.
-
Now, there are many things wrong with those emotions... I don't know where to start Gazza! But at least they came up with a slightly creative storyline behind the ride... Now if only they could re-incorporate a story into the Tower, Drop and Cyclone and actually theme the rides. But then again this IS Dreamworld.

Mmm... so this Superman Escape running in the rain must have been a trial then.
-
Light rain I can handle, but when it's pouring down... yeah. OUCH
-
Batwing operates in the rain as far as I am aware, but i'm not 100% on that. You'd be best to ring the park tomorrow morning before going just to double check. In regards to Superman: Escape, I have no idea what is up with that. It normally doesn't run in the rain, but has been known to. One of the days in peak season after I got sent home from work early, I went into the park and it was pouring down rain. Yet Superman was still launching fine, however it was rather painful if I do say so myself!

I think if I tried to work that sum out, my head or calculator would explode!
-
The pink jellyfish suit the ride, because they are the same jellyfish that are in the TV show the ride is based on.
-
Nice pic mate, and welcome to the site. I personally do hope that Dreamworld does spruce up the ride a little bit more. I'd love to see giant Jellyfish on top of the fences in a similar fashion to what they did with The Claw. That and some general ground work to make it look a bit nicer. Also Jjuttp why do you always add those 4 emoticons to the end of your posts?

You would have had to be around on RC / Total Thrills in 2004 - 2005 to really understand what I was meaning by the Nightshifter comment. But not to worry... A modern example of Nightshifter would be... well I can think of a few members who fit that bill reasonably well -

I would like to know the answer to that too. That would have to be one of the most random things i've seen in this forum. That and it makes not 1 lick of sense. Reminds me of the days when good ol Nightshifter was around. -
What other parks have Warner Bros. Made? The only one I can think of is Movie Park in Germany.
-
Yeah, that would be the most logical explanation. The actual cycle doesn't feel different, just a little bit faster. Which the 07 maintenance would obviously have something to do with it.
-
Probably to build suspense up... But the Cyclone braking issue is a joke! 1 minute to park the freakin train. Corkscrew is ran in manual and only stops once and sometimes twice before parking.
-
The Giant Drop's elevator speed has not increased. To get to the actual top of the tower (before slowing down) it's approx 45 secs, and around 45 secs of slowly creeping up before releasing.
