Dreamworld’s BuzzSaw is Retiring
4th Dimension roller coaster - Wikipedia X-Rails (X\X2) (Arrow - now owned by S&S) Zacspin Gen1 (Like Green Lantern First Flight at SFMM) (Intamin) Freespin (S&S) (Like Joker at SFOTex or Batman at SFFiestaTex) Zacspin Gen2 Since you specifically said S&S, I assume you meant the freespin. These rotate around centre mass, whereas the zacspins rotate a distance behind the heartline due to the back to back seating. I don't think anyone is suggesting an X Rail coaster (much as I'd love to see it). I've been on a Zacspin once and that was enough. Never again for me. I do think it was because the pivot distance from the heartline was just nauseating, and i realise that doesn't affect everyone the same way. I haven't been on a freespin, but by all accounts, the changed rider position makes for a far improved ride, and if you could fit it into the footprint i'd be keen - however i'm also conscious of ruining the sightlines to Snake Coaster, which should be their flagship for years to come.

^...not to mention that the question was actually on the DCR support that tried to go through the track...

How unfortunate that we'll now be saying the park is lacking in rides.

I think that's pretty impossible....

nevermind. I've confused the two. I had seen prototype coasters put together bolted to cast concrete blocks in the middle of a patch of dirt, but the more I look, the more I think it might have been the S&S Axis...

Doesn't Mack do test fits before shipping? or is that only for prototypes?

Lovely work as always mate. thanks.

Because although the ride might be perfectly aligned in every possible way, there's still the human error factor that someone put the rockwork framing in upside down and the clearances are too close. ...And also because computers are just processors - garbage in = garbage out, so it never hurts to idiot check. Sometimes the very talented engineers can get it wrong...

Doesn't work mate - codecs are all screwy. Do you have youtube?

Being more elevated, wouldn't the standard seats be able to reach lower though? I am almost certain there's no MCBR, just a trim brake. I asked about this only because of the order it was said (ie - 2nd train to maintenance bay, then put 1st train on the track) but i was thinking the same as what you said above (minus the MCBR) because of course that's how you do it. Just me being a pedant i guess.

100% the vultures have been updated. They were a three dimensional signboard below the vultures, and they're now a digitally printed signboard in the same place. similar style, but garishly modern compared to its surrounds. Thankfully - google is my friend.

Yeah that's what i was getting at - assuming each has a different guide, wouldn't you pull the spinner train through and test both envelope templates at the same time, rather than put the base train on the track and then pull the spinner through as well? Again, this assumes they will pull through, everything we've seen suggests there won't be one. (also i think it was said above that the normal train would go to the transfer track \ maintenance bay and they'd add the spinner train - isn't the transfer track \ maintenance bay the spot at which they'd add the second train?

One would think, if they intended to do pull throughs, they'd use the spinner, simply because it potentially puts arms in places not reachable by the normal seats...

I don't know - the replacement WWF flat signwriters steel is a pretty good contender for that title... I CBF going back, but i'm 100% certain we saw workers on the lift hill a few months back doing wiring all the way up. It stands to reason with those two factors that they've probably done work on the track as well as the train and we can probably expect the brakes (something notorious amongst RRRC riders) would garner some attention. Thanks for the pictures - you're right this one isn't too bad - but do you have the earlier sign - the one of the vultures near intencity \ doomsday ? Wonderland used to have these 'log troughs' running overhead. They weren't functional, but they were plumbed at various points to feed water wheels and other kinetic touches to the goldrush area. One afternoon, (some time late 2001 i think) one of these logs fell on a guest and caused minor injuries. By the following morning, every single trough that went over a walkway or guest accessible area was taken down. It REALLY changed the area (not for the better) but you don't take risks with safety. If any sort of flaw was found in the marquee, it was right to remove it. It's the standard of the replacement we should complain about, not the removal - because we don't know why it was done.

A very exciting update at Movie World
Yeah I wouldn't call it 'very exciting', so i assume there's more than a little sarcasm there. It is... refreshing to see them updating something that has no direct revenue impact. kudos.

Spooky Nights 2021
The T&Cs of the memberships is that if they remove something they will replace it with an offering of similar value, or something to that effect. Given FN is the most expensive of the night events, 50% off is a bit of a kick to the groin.

Dreamworld's Spring Country Fair - New Spring Event
I to like to judge a product before I see it. You literally just said you 'wouldn't do much different'. Perhaps - and especially in this current environment - it's wise to start small, test the waters, and see whether it's worth putting more money into it? Can't fault that reasoning, honestly. My pass has expired, practically unused since the first major lockdown, even with the extended expiry date. I was thinking that i'd wait until Taipan opened up before renewing, but at this stage, with so much else gone, at this point we've decided it (Taipan) isn't enough to get us to renew. Our son is just at the stage he can start riding Scooby and road runner - but with the reduced length seatbelts on madagascar, the only thing at Dreamworld he can ride (that he hasn't previously) is Motocoaster. *yawn*
