  1. How though? the grade is too steep to shorten from rocky hollow to central - that's why it does the blue lagoon loop. You'd have to regrade half the track to cut that loop out, and Dreamworld have already shown they don't care enough about the railway to invest in it. Plus, the sheds are spurred off that loop too - where else could you possibly shorten it? I think with the conference and event garage space, it could potentially be a great conference \ team building venue if coupled with the right facilities. The trouble is - facilities on the northern side of the park make it a long trek to ocean parade \ white water world for the kind of 'resort' facilities those delegates would be looking for...
  2. Well, if JF's drawing is correct, the 'dark ride' that was to go in the Eureka space is dead. #RipPush
  3. The only time i've ever seen a ride pad completely stripped is when the ride is removed, or structurally compromised. This does not bode well for Spongebob's Gliders.
  4. FWIW, my 3 year old watches T&J on YouTube Kids regularly. He loves it.
  5. Thank goodness you can stop crapping on about Arkham.
  6. Big Gash says a lot of things. Most of it is shit.
  7. Meanwhile, Wet N Wild continues to rot.
  8. I've no idea why, but i think that might just happen.
  9. Look, I realise that its all very exciting with this latest news, but honestly - this post^ should be getting way more likes.
  10. I've learned a lot of things in my life. One of them is that nothing is published by Parkz directly unless it's been verified. If I were to speculate, i'd suggest some quietly leaked information or press releases, and clearly, judging by several responses here, its a pretty poorly kept secret...
  11. well, that would certainly explain the sudden and unexpected demolition of the BB Studios...
  12. I can't figure out the manufacturer, but news reports suggest the ride manufacturer is Italian. I'd suggest without the 'eagle' theming, the ride probably doesn't look that way. The ride structure without the theming wouldn't resemble the swastika, and when the theming was added, they'd have looked at the gondola in isolation, not in action. Its a fairly honest mistake to make. It's a whoops, and an epic one at that. I'm off to sue god because the cloud i can see out my window right now resembles Donald Trump.
  13. You have quite the imagination, don't you?
  14. Is it really that much more complicated than a ferris wheel though?
  15. You can't polish a turd, but at least you can add sprinkles!
  16. I think we're forgetting here that the LTRR show building was twice as large as JDS is. The park currently uses the other half for storage, maintenance and floats and such. What they need to do is find another space to house any\all of that, and utilise the other half of the building to expand the kids area into something amazing. The curved roof from LTRR still exists (at least, i assume it does in the other half - it was last time i saw it) - paint a sky (think The Venetian) and make it a large collection of flats, and perhaps another capacity soaking multi-car attraction (coaster-like, aerial - it'd be awesome to put in a canopy flyer type attraction or similar...
  17. +1 to this. Visited on the weekend with my 3 year old. The increased height requirement on RRRC to 110cm (when every other Vekoma Junior in the world is 90 +/- means he isn't tall enough yet. Closed: Carousel Tweety Cages Sam Train Open: Driving School Speedy Taxis Pounce n Bounce (RRRC) Removed since open: Marvin Rocket Taz Cars So the kids area was, at best, underwhelming. I'd go so far as to say disappointing. I know its the off season, and all rides need maintenance, but to have so many of the kids attractions closed is really poor form. We knew of the closures before we went, so we went in eyes open, but its still shitty. 2 driving attractions (one of which is woeful for capacity), and a low capacity ride that is quite daunting for the smaller kids, plus a coaster that really shouldn't be 110cm. I mean: he can't ride this: but he can ride these: Movie world needs to lift their game in WB Kids. Dreamworld has 2 kids areas and so does WhiteWaterWorld, and here, Movie World is struggling to have enough to count...
  18. Seems a bit ridiculous doesn't it? All that potential energy gone to waste, simply to make it taller.
  19. Looks like i'm going to Dreamworld!
