There's no new major rides or attractions coming to Dreamworld after Sky Voyager
Nevermind - Here's some that were prepared earlier - and I retract my Hypercoaster comments - you can include DCR if you want...

Village Roadshow CEO: Dreamworld is no longer a competitive factor
That's impressive, since your post was at 5pm - and we all know all the rides shut at 4... I think the only situation where VRL buys Dreamworld is to acquire the rides and slides that are worthy of salvage, to move to their parks to fill the gaps at a bargain basement price of $100M, hold a wonderland-style fire-sale for every tom, dick and harry who wants to buy used cash registers, pavers, and anything else not bolted down (and some things that are), and while thats happening, convince their buddies in GCCC to approve an MCU, and then flog the land to someone else for a tidy profit.

Quick February Dreamworld video update
The issue is, something printed and laminated is done by a supervisor the morning of, when a staff member calls out for their shift. An A-frame is when the sign writer has a chance to mock one up (usually overnight if needed). The custom printed graphics unique to each ride, the full-height AP wall prints, the chain suspending it from the roof - that is a lot more permanent.

HWSW's train is stuck ...
That's quite short sighted of you. There are many coasters (and plenty of other rides) that require a certain weight to operate. There are more that can't operate in certain wind conditions. Plenty of flat and tower rides that won't run in the wind, or without certain weight management either (Drop towers where cables get blown around, and things like ferris wheels that need to be balanced evenly) If you think only Chinese knock offs can valley when empty trains are impacted by high winds, you probably shouldn't look at the moments leading up to the smiler incident, where an empty test car valleyed, stopping on the track. Maybe, if you're gonna jump on the dreamworld bashing bandwagon, you do actually come up with something legitimate to call them out on, or at least make your illegitimate issue funny.

What's gone wrong with SkyVoyager?
I'm pretty sure you've already been busted, and considering I gave TWO reasons it COULD be and DIDN'T give just one reason - i think you've just been busted again...

What's gone wrong with SkyVoyager?
Best guesses are not all we have - there are several people on the forums who know the precise reasons. Or, you know - you can listen to @Www worker 3.0 - i'm sure there's another award winning fiction out there just waiting to be told... I would suggest the 'defects' alleged to have been the cause of the delays are probably either construction defects, requiring rectification by the contractor, or safety defects identified by WHS inspectors, requiring rectification by the park. Nothing about 'defects' screams "a company that has built quite a few of these already couldn't get the video synchronised"..... that's just laughable, IMO.

Ardent Leisure Group HY19 Financial Results
Fixed. Pay no attention to the earthworks behind the curtain. We weren't building anything - just moving dirt to build a drainage hill behind Sky Voyager. The hill is definitely not a previously proposed ampitheatre either, and its to drain the mist effects away from Sky Voyager, to rectify the defective issues with the mist effects where we accidentally installed fire sprinklers instead. In the coming weeks.

It's pretty easy to add some extra land to your footprint when you run a hypercoaster out along your property boundary. It doesn't really change the size of the park (think Disneyland, and the buildings beyond the berm). Otherwise, can we start counting the BB Arena and Gumtree plantation in DW's footprint too? HWSW's footprint, for example, occupies space that is also utilised by waterslides, and guest accessible footpaths. How big are the two land wise if you measure MW to the 'pre-hypercoaster' boundaries?

That's an amazingly well thought out point Push *suppress shock*. You're right. When White Water World opened, which had arguably better quality attractions and a nicer overall guest experience - Wet N Wild's response was "Biggest and Best". That is Dreamworld's answer to Movie World - a park that cannot expand much further behind it's gate - it will eventually be forced to overtake it's carpark to continue expansion, or it will have to replace attractions. Dreamworld on the other hand has plenty of land even within the park's boundaries that it can develop (provided, that is, they don't just keep cramming more shit into ocean parade).

For all who lambasted VRL for upping the prices and ending the age of the discounted annual passes - this is proof that the higher priced tickets do reap rewards, and that the punters they lost wouldn't have spent much more than the $99 they paid for the pass.

Respecting loyalty? Because in business it's cheaper to keep an existing customer than obtain a new one? Because they can? No. And i'll tell you why - A while ago, an entrepreneur launched a business in Australia, and his aim was to undercut the big players by offering a budget product. He was successful, and managed to get quite a bit of market share from the big players. Later down the track, he rebranded it slightly - but kept a fairly similar name. He started providing a more polished product. Offering extra services. Then he started charging a bit more. These days, he tries to market himself as being on the same level as the big player in the industry and the product is far closer to 'on par' with other big players - but unfortunately, many still regard the product as a 'lesser standard' than the big boys, because of their budget, cut-price history. The minute Dreamworld tries to tackle the 'budget' angle, their reputation will forever stay in the toilet as the sub-standard park against Movie World \ VRTP. No matter what they do to the park after that - the budget monkey will forever be on their back. If you haven't yet figured out the entrepreneur's business, its

One product/service you would like at our theme parks
I think, under a new owner prepared to spend money, Mark would do a spectacular job of turning Dreamworld around. I wouldn't want him to take the reigns under Ardent otherwise a new owner would think him part of the problem - and let's face it - Weiss wouldn't give him the freedom he'd need to lift the park.

If Dreamworld continues with the current status quo on the little things, then something big is pointless, because the status quo is they don't give a shit. Of course rubbish and toilets aren't the current issues, they were just simplistic examples. The actual "little things" at the park are a little more subtle, yet still very noticeable. Its the little things like having your rides open for the same amount of time that your park is open. Its like operating a ride that has 40 seats with 20 empty seats because if you load it any more, you'll break it, and if you load it any less, its too expensive to run. its like having a brand new ride working, staff trained, everything ready to open, and not opening it, and not telling anybody why. its like cutting off the walkway to half of your park, making everyone walk the alternative, much longer way around, and then not operating your lone transport ride to help move people around the park a bit easier. Its like having multiple alternative locomotives you could run to keep a train operating, but opting instead to shutter it, because the alternatives are more expensive its like identifying a risk of injury to riders and bolting on a homemade contraption rather than talking to the industry to use the same device far and wide about how they managed it. its like resetting a pump for the third time, by a technician who wasn't supposed to reset it, to keep a ride running that policy says shouldn't run if it needs resetting more than twice in a day. its like not bothering to upgrade your rides to modern safety standards like having properly functioning e-stops. its like having numerous incidents where people could have been killed, and not making any changes, until someone IS killed. The current status quo in small things means they have no business building big things. Its bigger than garbages and toilets - but I guess even Dreamworld can't fuck up trash and shit.
