thanks for the update Brad. Progress is coming along well. No fountain updates?

A family coaster with a horror theme? #fail.

From the best of my knowledge, there have never been live actors on WWF.

Pretty sure it only went live on the weekend. screens around gotham burgers but pretty sure we'll see it closer to the front soon. (i'm just guessing based on what i've heard\read) Careful, you might get a nasty cinnamon-sugar inner-ear infection. ^Which reminds me of the almost complete wrap we observed being stolen out of a guests hands lakeside at Sea World a few weeks back.

gee that voice over on the video is annoying as hell! *Disclaimer - I know who it is, and I haven't even seen\heard it yet. Just teasing because I know who it is.

it does SOUND like a pedestrian culvert, doesn't it? Hope the drainage is sufficient or that'll get flooded just like GL!

Impression and reality are two different things. Not to mention the trees they do plant will likely be young trees, and assholes will break them for no reason. #WeJustCan'tHaveNiceThings

What extension - track looks normal to me...

Not a problem @UpperCoomera - all in good humor. Side note - I don't have any issue with Bladex either. Just thought it was better than 'you're stupid it wasn't me it was someone else"

Said contributor was @bladex who hasn't said a word about a monorail. Are you confusing @bladex with me? I'm insulted.

Whilst I realise its a much greater expense to go multideck (plus the locals probably wouldn't like it) but i really think its a missed opportunity here to go upwards before the rest of the land is developed. I also foresee a chokepoint coming out of the carpark, turning left onto Kopps road to head towards the highway ramps. I agree with what was mentioned earlier about a second carpark being needed down near Wet N Wild. I think they'd do very well to then install a mass-transit system to travel between the attractions - a monorail perhaps, although shuttle buses would probably be cheaper and easier.

Magician, I think you need to remember the knowledge and experience of some members may trump your opinion here. At Movie World, you can get a carpark that is less than 60 metres from the front gate. At Magic Mountain, it's that distance just from the metal detector to the gate... and its a hell of a lot longer to the parking lot. Good luck getting parking anywhere near that outside of a Disney park. The fact of the matter is that the carpark is very close to the park's eastern border. They can't build west, because of residential. They can't go north because of the creek and housing, South is studios, etc. East is the only direction they have broad control over - and if you want to build more - you need land close to the park. The parking lot is close to the park, so thats what they'll use. Of course, council will most likely impose conditions on them that if they resume x number of parking spaces, they'll need to build another x number. So they're not getting rid of parking spaces, they're relocating them.

If the land is appropriately zoned, I can't see how any of the surrounding neighbours could have much to complain about. Its an open area so the animal\wildlife argument doesn't work. Besides - you don't own the land so you can't complain about losing the benefit of it if it is owned by someone else. What are they supposed to do with the kids during construction? Work it out hun! The kids will enjoy seeing the big bulldozers too! I do hope they're looking at a multideck lot, but given the proximity to residences, that probably won't happen. Typical NIMBY responses. I just hope their objections aren't upheld and this project goes ahead.

Ninja - check your sarcasm detector. I think it's broken.

i must admit it is very boring seeing so many of the same photos. If something has changed sure - but POINT IT OUT too so we know what we're looking for. Being a flat, we aren't going to see much else - When we start seeing the coaster go up it'll be a different story though.

I'd say the elbow in this picture is PRECISELY what that 'spear' is

^I don't believe that.

Nice recovery Andrew. For the record its been discussed to death that the sound stages are out of commission. There are 9 pages of discussion here. As a new member, I would recommend having a good read through a thread to get up to speed in the future. Welcome to the madhouse.

I think this is even more close.

#SpearGate

No @ash.1111 the "spear" we're referring to is this:

How do you play a phone game without turning on your phone?

If memory serves, the 'spear' was only mounted on one side of one car. It's hardly going to be balanced doing that...

Sorry for misunderstanding also @Richard. It does feel that way, but i guess thats because every man and his dog is a blogger or online journalist these days. I still come here for my fix. I don't follow any other pages regularly except disney specific (and reputable) pages. It is unfortunate that anyone with an iPad these days considers themselves a park expert... anyhow... onwards!
