Dreamworld Winterfest
This discussion has been done to death on many topics across our parks over the years. The simple fact is that the globe doesn't hold many people, the event is open for limited time and limited hours. In the generation of Instagram and selfies, everyone wants the 'coolest' pic to place on social media. Without an attendant you could be standing there waiting for the same group of teens trying for the 'perfect' photo from every conceivable angle for 15+ minutes, leaving many angry patrons who don't get a chance for a photo. And you've got to pay the staff member, so the idea should be self supporting and funding. Anyone who has ever tried to take a photo of the 'BRISBANE' sign at Southbank will know just how long you can end up waiting for a 'clean' shot of it - I bet you if they charged an admission fee, it would lower the demand considerably.

Raging Waters Sydney: Wet'n'Wild Sydney gets a new name, new slide
As the only major water park in the sydney metro area, i don't think they'll need to market it too heavily. As for the name - I would suggest VRTP owns the rights to WnW in Aus, and probably wouldn't want them leveraging the name - it also prevents confusion for people who hold passes to "wet n wild". WNWS has had its share of bad media - from the New Years Party disaster just after opening, to paid parking, outside food issues, and poor queue management, among others - a new name indicates a change, and may encourage locals to give it another go. The challenge for them is to make significant changes to their operations fast so that those giving them another chance can see that 'under new management' actually means something positive.

The Off Topic Topic
I think this is beside the 'upgrades' booth where they sell outback tickets and such. That's the reason why its in the corner... and it has been there a while, although the rides list is new. I don't think its possible for them to have live attraction wait times on there with the current set up - its kind of just a slideshow, but it wouldn't be hard to integrate a live wait time system - the only issue then is because it is where it is, it wouldn't be very useful. The park has had wait time boards in the past, and clearly technology exists in other parks. I'd like to see them do something like that, simply because the parks attractions are so spread out.

DC Super Heroes & Super-Villains 2019
This conversation is getting charged. It's shocking to have such differing opinions. We've all done the same circuit of rides and theme parks, and i'm positive that we can all conduct ourselves with less negative amplitude...

Yeah look, it isn't. We know that, but given is a projection, in daylight, its difficult to notice it - even in the still picture, you don't see it for a few seconds unless you're told to look for it.. so making it move (apart from the fact that the fixture they're using probably moves by default) makes it noticeable, simply because our eyes are more likely to notice movement... and regardless of whether it's "true" to the story - its still a nice, detailed touch, that they didn't have to do, and obviously took some thought and effort to implement - so i say good on them.

Superman, Escape from Krypton at Six Flags Magic Mountain was delayed by 10 months... yet another Dreamworld record that SFMM has beaten.

Just visit the Easter show, there's plenty there. I'm 100% that the whack hammer and associated hardware were cannibalised from a high striker carnival game that they once had near the entrance of Wet N Wild. I think they later moved it to the Intencity games area for a while. Nifty little recycling by the park though. Its a shame people destroyed it so quickly. Running High Striker at Wonderland was one of my first positions at the park - so i know the equipment pretty well.

It seems you're right! In other news, the worlds first 'Wave Swinger' has just opened in space.

'Big Brother House' Vandalised
It's hardly a stage you could use for a major artist appearance - very little spectator space, and obstructs the entrance gates, as @Brad2912 already pointed out. I think @pin142 might be suggesting that you can't really call it a stage, let alone a main stage. Its a selfie platform, nothing more. The potential for performance spaces and artist appearances in the park is huge. I've marked all potential spaces in yellow, with the current 'wiggle' main street stage in red: BB Studios Blue Lagoon "Carpark B" The Badu Show stage The Humpy Theatre The Woolshed The 'new' half-finished ampitheatre Tiger Island The Shell Brock's Garage The Wipeout Wave With all of these spaces, i don't know why you'd want to clog the entrance, or main street. Plenty of room elsewhere that will also drive flow through the park, rather than bottlenecking the front gate.

yeah good luck with that...- Paradise Country’s Animal Nursery Is Going Wild These School Holidays
The thing about Paradise Country is that its one wedge in a complete offering by VRTP. It's not going to suit everybody. But it fills a gap for 'cityfolk' - especially those with kids who get no other opportunity to experience aspects of 'farming' life. Much the same as @Brad2912 - i find it's great for family, and it obviously gets decent patronage based on my observations too (plus, i'm sure the park wouldn't continue to operate if it was making a loss). Sea World used to capture wild animals for their exhibits and make them 'perform' too - much like a circus... As Brad says - it matters more what they're doing now.- Wet n Wild GC - November Update
Thats a great shot @Gazza - Is that Black Hole on the left also?- DC Super Heroes & Super-Villains 2019
Is this some sort of secret movie world page? Or is this posted on their public facing page? Because i'm just wondering why names need to be blacked out when its publicly accessible through the FB platform?- Sea World to reveal $50m spend
...well i'm sure the rude ones receive lots of remedial coaching on how to be less offensive to park guests.- A bit of Gold Coast theme park history
So, to recap, according to @pushbutton : Everyone is as entitled to an opinion as he is Everyone's opinion is equally valid Expressing your opinion is what internet discussion boards are for 4. If @pushbutton decides he doesn't like what you have to say, then 1-3 do not apply.- Reviews & Reactions - Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster: Next Generation

This is very true - and we'd see the wheel chocks on the track near the tower if the car was removed...- Wipeout Removal
Could be Goldie or Casey. I can't remember when each of them were there. The rumor i heard about the water off the wave was that the constant water was damaging the structure.- Wet n Wild GC - November Update
I'm only going from memory, but i'm pretty certain Mach5\Sidewinder was second hand when it came to WnW. I believe there was mention of structural issues with the tower, which is hardly surprising given its apparent age. The slides are also getting on in years, and i'd rather they took something fresh and new, given the advances in technology in the past 2 decades, rather than try to recreate what was at best a mediocre offering.- Paradise Country’s Animal Nursery Is Going Wild These School Holidays
The space between PC and AOS was once earmarked for a 'wild' experience, with a hotel at the top of the hill. I can't remember if this was before or after the Sea World Wild announcement, but it was definitely put out to focus groups... so not entirely unrealistic if these thoughts are still on their radar, trying to find the right fit.- DC Super Heroes & Super-Villains 2019
I'd offer a cash prize just to see that... LOL - 'Big Brother House' Vandalised
