'World Best' Attraction coming to VRTP
Given the proximity to AOS, I do hope that they apply something to the wall facing the highway so that it fits with the theme of AOS, or at least promotional materials, billboards or something other than a big concrete wall. It'll also affect the airflow around that end of the AOS arena where everyone gathers before the show - thankfully it's eastern facing so it shouldn't emit too much heat before showtime.

Adventure World 2015 - 'Mi2' Kraken Tornado slide
the only way to make 3+1 or 2+2 ride tubes work is for an additional staff member to act as grouper ahead of the loading zone. I doubt AW wants to be spending an additional wage for a staff member to make only a minor dent in the queue (as mentioned above - you need people to cooperate with the staff for that to work, and weight limits are also a factor), especially when they could use that money towards other improvements across the park.

Yeah I have no idea why sometimes it's a month ago and sometimes 6. it is more frequent than Google, but hard to predict - perhaps some areas had cloud cover when the last satellite pass was made - this would explain why MW was September but DW was April. You rarely get any cloud in Nearmap images, so i'd say thats probably the reason for the lack of update to DW.

Movie World speculation and dreaming - 2015 edition
I'm thinking perhaps they give you more than one tortilla - if it's build your own, they aren't going to dish up all the sides on the side, so that you end up leaving half on the plate. if it's more than one tortilla, $22 isn't bad. As for build your own - the menu says MAKE YOUR OWN - the 'on the side' method means it is 'make your own' - you have to put it together. If it said 'build' i'd agree you should be able to pick and choose ingredients - make your own just means the kitchen doesn't do it for you #labourcosts DH's theme isn't western. so Saloon doesn't work. It isn't Mexican (although the food is) so Cantina doesn't really work either. If they're able to produce tender flank steak, they should be able to serve up a simple steak and salad also, and hopefully they offer this in the future once they determine the success of the outlet. #timewilltell

Guys - the theme is hot wheels. they're cars. motorsport. racing. Only in the movies do racecars drive backwards. #DaysOfThunder

If you could include the scale, and the date on these, it will help with comparisons later on.

I think he means the B-A-C-K car

I'm not 100% certain - but the pic posted by Gary has fairly bulky headrests - they are supposedly fitting on-board audio, so this could be the explanation for them, but there does seem to appear to be a shadow of an OTSR

Oh look, it IS readable - but in today's age of 12MP camera phones - this shouldn't be the best you can get:

Happy 114th Birthday Walt Disney!
Well, when you consider some of the stories that came out of that era - such as the bitumen on main street being so freshly laid that women's high heels sank into it - it was a close run thing to have everything ready - and even then it wasn't!

Looks fairly priced. I wish these guys would use premium potatoes to take these pictures so we could actually read the detail. I'd kind of hoped for a little more by way of the items on offer, given the succulent beef we saw in a photo recently, but it's nice that they've kept the 'original' nacho item - albeit tweaked - on the menu. I look forward to sampling this next time im there.

Sea World maintenance
this is usual for new attractions - open it, run it for peak season, close it down and check everything to make sure nothing moved, changed or shifted, make sure nothing leaked etc. - its kind of how a new car is run in, and then brought back to the dealership after about 1000km for a service and check up. i'm sure they also want to make sure it is tip top before the busy summer holiday season, where it's going to get quite a workout.

The Off Topic Topic
From what she tells me - every council they deal with NOW makes the developers put in "lots of visitors parking" - she doesn't know the percentage off the top of her head - but currently, with GCCC, BCC, Logan, MBRC, Redlands - they all are a mandatory requirement... Or are you referring to resident parking? In that case - the requirements are that every unit must have at least one car garage space, and in the case of townhouses, each driveway needs to accommodate a further vehicle (although some longer vehicles might not fit, because the driveways are quite short)... Not sure on 'unit blocks' (as in like - 6-7 in a row) - they've done one such complex recently, but it already had a DA on it when they bought it so didn't have to go through the requirements again... How long ago was this complex that you're referring to built?

Wonderland Sydney 2.0
As others have mentioned, there is some scepticism from a random new poster who makes big claims. We know you can't reveal what is part of the NDA - what we're looking for is some tangible substance that confirms you are legitimate. Surely there is something you could do that doesn't breach NDA to prove you are involved in something as you say? You've said something already (which I won't reveal as yet) that I know not to be true from my own close involvement with the park both in the past and the present... Whether by ignorance, misinformation, or because you are not who you claim to be I don't know - but i'm going to be open minded as we've seen first hand how valuable having a senior level manager on the boards here can be (Adventure World's Mark Shaw). If you are legit - Welcome. Wonderland was a big part of many of our lives, and we cannot wait to see what you guys have in store... look forward to what you CAN offer when you do. In the meantime, forgive those who regard you with caution - too many times we have had folks who cannot support their claims, and mislead or outright deceive the fans who frequent this board.

Green Lantern incident at MW
that recording is part of the queue system - i think there's an IR beam or motion sensor that triggers it when people walk past or something - it's not part of the ride system - its theming.

The Off Topic Topic
For anyone whose business would be impacted by the construction - i don't blame them for raising objections - even if they weren't of much substance. My wife works for a developer who builds large residential estates - they frequently receive objections regarding their developments - but most of them aren't enough to sway the decision makers, and they are frequently petty things of NIMBY class. Of course you're not going to say 'i'm afraid of the competition it will bring' so you try to come up with something that shows you aren't concerned about number 1, and are trying to show it's for the good of the community. it will be quite a monstrosity - but i'm sure most people would just look at it and go 'wow'.

'World Best' Attraction coming to VRTP
Catch is - most of it won't be seen - private certifier means they only have to lodge AsCon - which means we have better hope of finding out by camping in the carpark awaiting shipping containers than to eagerly watch PDonline. I thought it was hilarious - especially since you've rubbed everyone the wrong way - this is what you get in return. If you play nice, others will be nice to you. It is, and that solution is possible - depending on what they intend to put there. I'm sure they don't want to expose their BoH areas too much by putting riders in close view of whats back there - batwing and GL are far enough away that the brief glimpse you get isn't much - having something pretty well surrounded by BoH means it would be hard to hide. THe other thing to think of (and it's not a hard fix) is currently vehicles cross the bridge, and then dog-leg before stopping at security before the gate is opened. the image you posted would make this difficult, and vehicles would need to stop on the bridge. Further - this would impact on the current bus pick up area, which, whilst easily moved, would then obstruct the current traffic flow. As we've now discovered the carpark modifications do not appear to be for the front of MW - they may not be touching that side, which means the space for the attraction - especially one trumpeted to be 'world best' - doesn't leave a whole lot of room.

'World Best' Attraction coming to VRTP
I wonder if this will be in time for them to provide accommodation options (at dramatically inflated prices) to guests staying during the comm. games. I also wonder if this is an incarnation of a previous Wild concept? I'll have a little looksee a little later on.

2015 in Dreamworld - ABC Kids World, V8 Supercars and more
I'm sure if you asked Movie World the same question you wouldn't get much beyond 'we have something big planned that's going to be a worlds best' (since thats already out there. Although we've got the PDonline info - I doubt they want to confirm much to the GP at this stage.

Re: HWSD - yes they are utes, and this is taken 1 September 2015: I know I promised to do some nearmap shots of the parks a week ago - things have been busy - i'll try and get them up in the next week or two.

'World Best' Attraction coming to VRTP
it all adds up... especially given the issues 'out the back' with neighbours. Building out the front makes sense given the rest of the park shields most neighbours from noise - and out the front they're competing with the M1 so its hardly an issue anyway. Skeet - what is the green line drawn straight across coach parking and entering front gate? is that your drawing suggesting the development area? or is that something else? I'm still waiting for someone to solve the 'staff entrance' issue near this zone...

'World Best' Attraction coming to VRTP
The proposed precinct from the 2011 plans weren't a separate gate - they were public access that anyone could go to (although most attractions in the proposal were additional charge) - however if they were to establish a second gate (which is what i think you were alluding to) I would be all for it to be an additional charge. Annual pass holders already receive a LOT for the miserly amount that they pay. If VRTP were to invest in an entirely separate gate, I would not only expect, but DEMAND that this be at additional cost - either by upping the price of the passes, or charging a separate fee. That said, I don't believe we'll see an additional gate, or a public access area here as all the information mentioned so far points to it clearly being a new attraction IN movie world.
