Actually... I dont think jamberoo is that much of a threat .. they probably just looked at how much money they had to spend.. and what would bring in enough profit to expand it maybe later to a traditional themepark without much outlay for employees, maintenence etc. But I dont think $80M wouldnt make a very good traditional themepark so sydney got a water park. I dont know.. just my thoughts lol

I was just thinking its a bit strange that the most sucessful themepark etc company in australia has decided to throw a water park in western sydney when there is already jamberoo in nsw?? Why not a traditional theme park first?.. what sydney really needs! Then I thought, I bet Village Roadshow has just quickly put the plans in etc for a waterpark first so jamberoo doesnt have time to up the ante. Like if it was plans for a normal theme park, jamberoo would see some form of competition but not direct competition, so they would have time to compete with VR, knowing that they may build a waterark after..(seeing WVTP history of multiple parks in same vicinity). Does that make sense?? If this was a deliberate ploy to drive jamberoo out, thats pretty clever. To be honest , no one saw this water park coming!! Im pretty sure that was all because of jamberoo. Anyway, I think jamberoo will be freaking out! Lets hope they can compete together so we dont get one park having the monopoly and doing whatever they want with poor quality.

Ive lived in campbelltown my whole life and have never been to it haha nor has my family been. I keep saying we should go but never happens, maybe this year I should check it out. I think its a great town celebration and a great story behind it.

Sydney is cursed. So sad to see everything fail. I thought it would be easy to open a park like that where there is such a shortage. But I guess wonderland took them all out aswell as itself lol

What is the legal age for getting a job in QLD? In nsw its like 15 and so many months. Thats slack, wish people could find an honest way of making money, not off the sucess of others.

Ive given up even going anymore. Even though entry is free .. the rides,food etc are so expensive and not even that great. Its a shame there's really nothing to do in sydney anymore... even the easter show is too expensive. Just wish some developer or whatever will realise one day that sydney is a prime location for a new theme park.. THEY DONT EVEN HAVE TO TRY THAT HARD! there is no competition hahaha But yes LPS is a disappointment to sydney siders.

I always loved the pre ride thing.. you guys are all probably sick of it but i loved it as a kid and still do... robotic batman could be redone i think.. and maybe some new stuff brought in.. or alternate routes like titanic "ride" lol at fox studios sydney to help with queue times etc i really hate the new story thing.. even at sega world sydney they used to change their motion rollercoaster thing every few months or whatever it kept it fresh and sometimes i think they brought back the fav storys.. the layout was even better 2 to a machine thing of 2 chairs that moved like the batman thing with a huge screen in front of you and didnt feel so squishy and claustraphobic lol

Can we plan another quiet day heaps in advance?. I would love to go but I live in sydney etc So i'll have to plan a road trip or something and do all the parks. In the past all the friends I go with get sick of going on ride after ride so I think its a good idea to meet up.

Yeah there is also some footage of sega world on sydney weekender and someone filmed the building being knocked down from the ferris wheel (dont know name) , just search "sega world sydney" i think. Sydney is cursed.. or just no one can run a theme park properly in NSW lol

There is not really a demand for it, nor enough people (tourists and population) our current theme parks are so primitive at the moment and thats because our country is a baby compared to others. Supply and demand. And asif they would put it next to the theme park central of australia when there is heaps more basically unclaimed theme park worthy areas around the rest of australia!
