At least there was some sort of story to it, unlike now. A story would go down well, even if there was a plothole like before.

I dont find MovieWorld to be a half day park, whenever I've gone, we've got there before opening, and left as late as possible. And sometimes we've gone back a second day. There may not be as many rides, but personally, I find the rides better than Dreamworld. Quality, not Quantity.

I was also told that a cable snapped and people were left up there for hours. But I dont understand.. if a cable snaps, wouldnt it go back down? Anyway, I convinced myself it was a lie just so I wouldnt be paranoid when I was riding it.

Yeah, they still have that. But not one that goes up from the queue to the station.

The first time I rode it was in 06, and there was only stairs, but I do think its weird that they have the lifts there, if no one uses them.

I didnt either, went to Sydney later that year when it was closed, so I had just missed my opportunity.

I always wanted to go on that ride when it used to be at the Royal Show years ago, just because I liked how it was called Rainbow and had angels on it.

What would the attendance be at the parks (approximately) when theres no holidays on a weekday?

That emotion implies sarcasm just so you know. I dont think they would close it, it still had a fair few riders when I was there.

Haha, my friends are up there at the moment, and they went to dreamworld yesterday. Must have been great with all the lineups.

I can see the halo and wings as well, I had to do a double take when I first saw it.

I think I remember seeing TV advertisements, but that was most probably after the ride was announced.

Last time I was there, I'm almost certain they had the tvs running, but the turbine/fan thing wasnt spinning. I find that the whole inside exit area is really crummy. Theres just no effort, and it looks crappy with those streamers or whatever they are on the fan.

After going there a month ago, the queue line had very obviously changed, with the entrance twisting around the outside. But, is this really an improvement? I found it stupid, when leaving the ride, where you had to go up stairs, then cut across the people lining up, and then walking through what used to be the queue, which is deserted, and that thing in the middle serves no purpose. The old queue was bad, with the lack of entertainment and ventilation in the building, but it was better than what it is now. So I'm wondering, what was the purpose in changing the queue-line, and what are your thoughts on this queueline.

I went on it when I was six.. I cried on it. Not a favourite of mine.

They were off when I was there a month ago, but I just thought that was because it was raining that day, and that it was almost winter.

Im just wondering, has Giant Drop ever had any event like a cable snapping, or staying at the top or something similar?

My dad told me he was trying to get his hat as well, so I'm not sure if this is right.

I actually really love the LW now, first time I rode it a few years ago, I hated it. It left me with a headache, and I felt a tad of nausea. Went a couple a months ago, and loved it. I prepared myself for the worst, and made sure I was pressing myself back into the seat. Sure, my head still got banged around a bit, but it was so much better than the first time riding it.

Really? I ADORE the launch, its my favourite part of the ride! I cant really breathe on the launch, but its such a rush, and before you know it, youre over the top-hat.
