  1. As far as the shops go at the park, hasn't this already been done fairly recently? I mean it's not that often a shop gets re-done.
  2. Aren't most of us on here against the marketing not the ride?
  3. Then what makes you so sure?
  4. I too find AA to be the most uncomfortable coaster that I've ever been on. This is even after getting the jewels crushed on Riddler's Revenge (SFMM). Sure, the head banging was bad on LW, but I tried riding AA 3 different times and all 3 have resulted in leg pain and discomfort. I miss the LW cars. And before some idiots jump in here and tell me how I'm wrong about my own experience again, this is just that, my experience and opinion. YMMV
  5. I wasn't being sarcastic. That's what the dippin dots guy told me was happening.
  6. I know! I couldn't believe it either! I mean how unfair of Dreamworld to not sell a $109 pass to DW and WWW for almost a whole year! What a load of crap!
  7. It's moving into the helix of MDMC
  8. ^ Am I missing something here?
  9. Speaking of loading platforms. Dreamworld had only 2 people operating the flume last time I went. One at the exit and one up in the control box. Everyone was just free to load themselves into the boats. This seemed actually faster than one of their staff loading you.
  10. The park doesn't need another one-trick pony
  11. Shark's been there ever since the water dried up under Wipeout
  12. Eureka is the only one I can think of that is actually "dormant" however for all we know the majority of the inside of the mountain may have been gutted for storage and there might not be any track left. (Doubt it though) Chairlift - Hardly dormant - no wires, no seats, just some poles. Please tell me how you'd ride that. Blue lagoon. The mountain and slides are there. Or are they? Wasn't there the normal plastic slides in the channels that are there? Oh and remind me how the landing pool is still there? Sure, there's still a trace of them, but they're not SBNO. They're mostly gone.
  13. Neither of which have just sat there though. Sure they did for a while but they're gone now.
  14. "THEY NEED TO BE REHABILITATED AND SET FREE." See what happens when you set a "rehabilitated" dolphin free?
  15. First I've ever come across this. Bit of an interesting read. http://mypolice.qld.gov.au/museum/2014/02/25/vault-eagle-farm-siege/ --- ...entered the Seaworld complex at the Gold Coast and arranged a four hour helicopter ride for his two children. As Petrovic has sold his trucking business just months before he easily covered the $2,000 flight fee. While in the air over Currumbin, Petrovic pulled a sawn-off shotgun on the pilot and demanded to be flown to a US airbase in Japan. --- It's ~7300km. I believe at the time Seaworld was using Bell 206 JetRangers. These things have a range of ~650km. I mean if you're gonna hijack something, do the math first.
  16. Depends if they attach it on as a new theme park or if it becomes part of Seaworld I guess. Sorry for most likely starting another shit fight, but Seaworld for me is a "Marine Park" with rides. Not a "theme" park. There's not much theme going on, purely because there's not really much to theme. The rides they have with the exception of SV are themed really really well, but the park itself is more "marine" than "theme".
  17. There's not actually 20 cars attached at the moment. There's only 18. Edit - Who's in for a group buy?
  18. This was just like when I went except - The kids area was fairly deserted. Both with staff and guests though. MDMC was max 8 ppl in a cycle. GD didn't go on so didn't notice. Log ride and rapids were both <5min queues and it was about 33 degrees.
  19. How is the map "useless"? Does it not give you a good idea of where everything is in the park? We're not looking at a small town here with hundreds of roads to navigate. It just has to give you a rough idea where things are and that's exactly what it does.
  20. One that I wouldn't mind and keep forgetting to take myself - as you enter the park and head immediately left, just in front of the lockers there is a newer looking circle of concrete where it looks like something used to be. I don't recall anything ever being out in front of the lockers like that so if you could put a pic up for people to see what I'm talking about that would be great thanks. At this point I might be heading back March 7, so if that eventuates I'll take photo requests again.
  21. Sorry I can't edit the OP now, but to clarify - This game is still in BETA. It's an early release for the people who have paid for the keys already. (You can still order on their website)
  22. The time has finally come. Those of us who have pre purchased the game should have received their keys by now. The game launches on steam on Feb 27 (not sure if that's localised). I thought it would be nice to have a thread to 1 - Remind people they can still buy this game and it's about to be released. 2 - Post your creations here and share them with Parkz. http://store.steampowered.com/app/254590/
  23. This is my point. This is why Dreamworld doesn't need to improve. To most people who go there, they don't care what it's themed to, they're not expecting Disneyland. They just go for the rides. Which is fine, and as I've said before, Dreamworld is a great park as long as you don't go there for anything except thrills. Visiting Dreamworld for theming is like visiting a brothel for love. The rides on their own are fine, but the question raised was what they had to do in my opinion for me to call them a "theme" park. That's what I answered. For my opinions on the park itself, I posted a review a month or so back on here. I'm sorry, were you just trying to get your post count up or did you want to contribute something to the discussion? It's not about whether it matters or not, nor is it about feeling "smug" while walking around the park (I mean wtf?) It's simply just having a discussion and replying to questions.
  24. IMO, that would be a fair/carnival.
