In saying that. Even they're confused. According to that map, there's "Worlds" but the map itself still shows "ocean parade" and the rest still existing.

For me to consider Dreamworld as a "theme park" some changes would be needed. Again, this is just my opinion and you're entitled to your own. Even though it's wrong. Lets look at what we have.... Ocean Parade Claw - half assed theming of what? A giant monster's foot attacking a concrete beach? Shockwave - Turbines. In some industrial looking water pump style design thing? What? Wipeout - The true representation of "ocean parade", just add water. V8 Supercars - oh yeah, I do remember seeing a round where they raced underwater. This could be passable if they upgraded the system to 1 - New liveries 2 - Not Nascar shells 3 - A custom made GC600 track instead of Bathurst. Cyclone - When it was themed, not much of an ocean connection here. They were making a tornado to test wind speeds or something. Fair enough, but should have been done as waterspouts to suit the ocean theme. Flowrider - Doesn't really need theming, it's just a wave. It fits. Reefdiver - Makes sense, although there's not really that much to it. Zombie Evilution - Surely you don't need me to explain this one to you. Dreamworks I'll give them this one. It's actually themed pretty well. Interesting to see what happens when the contract is up though. Wiggles World The area itself could use a little something, even if it was just like Dreamworks with the statues up for photos etc. Big Red Car - Never been on it, but it looks good from the outside. Little Red Boat - or Big Red Boat - whatever it's called. No real theming, it's just kind of plonked there. Tower Of Terror Ummm.... what exact area is this a part of? Wiggles World? Ocean Parade? Tiger Island? Oh yeah, it's in its own little area, themed to what? Turbines and a giant skull. Motocoaster Again, it's own little area. No cohesion to the rest of the park, it's just doing its own little thing. Vintage Cars Once again - thrown out the back of the park with nothing else. No theme to it. It's just a bit of track around some trees. Giant Drop Obviously there's not really any other place for it, but again, they tried to theme the ride itself, not fit it into an existing area. It's about and oil drill. Doesn't even make sense. I mean it might if it was a launched freefall ride, not a drop tower. Gold Rush Country Apart from Dreamworks, this is probably the most themed area. However they've ruined it with what they've done to the front of Eureka. Rocky Hollow Log Ride - Giant mushrooms. Must have been what they were on when they designed the theming. Thunder river - Makes sense - up until you realise you're looking at someone who's stealing gold. From a mine. While breaking out of a jail cell. Which is underground. In said mine......while dinosaurs wait outside. Buzzsaw - It's kind of themed. I mean sure, they don't bother turning on half the theming, but it was there. Once. There's just no connection with the rides that are in each area. Sure, there's "areas" but until they get it fixed and connect everything so it makes sense, to me, it's just an amusement park. Not a "theme" park. Compare it to Movieworld - there's distinct areas, each with rides connected to their relevant theme.

Dreamworld - the good and the bad
but......we've all known that and agreed upon that for ages. It's because their target market is teens and they've got the most thrill rides...

You heard it here first! Corroboree is just a temporary attraction. Rumor has it Captain Sturt will come back to take Terry the Turbine around the lake.- at dreamworld now taking photo requests

Gather 'round kids, it's time for a story. Cast your mind back to the glory days of the Cyclone. Before White Water World, before the removal of the Thunderbolt, before turbines became as common as young female uni students standing on street corners in Kings Cross. Those in the know like to call these, "The Good Years". Children and family alike would travel for miles and miles to the park to experience the Cyclone. There was no ascending the outside of the room in those days, no forced advertising in the hot sun. You would enter what has become to be known as today's exit. As you wound your way up the path, large "turbines" would create a cyclonic system inside the room. Many tales have emerged of cow sightings during the storm. Those who survived the storm were evacuated from the building via the ride before blowing back to the station where upon you were forced to fend for yourself and make your way down the current entry. Many years later, after very little turbine activity, park management felt the need to "re-theme" the Tower Of Terror. Many decisions were thrown around the boardroom table that fateful day. Tigers, spaceships, aeroplanes to name a few. None of those satisfied the board however. The janitor passing through at the time, as a joke mentioned "more turbines" as he thought the idea would be so terrible and laughable it would never be considered. "Turbines it is!" screamed the board with much excitement. And turbines it was for ToT2. Again, several year's pass and it's time for another new ride. A disk-o is ordered to be delivered to the park. This time however, there was no boardroom meetings, no research done, it was straight to the turbines. As the years go on and the Cyclone turbines get older and older and fall further into disrepair, more plans are underway to return Dreamworld to a "theme"park. Sadly, that theme is turbines, and "Turbine: The Ride" is scheduled to be opened September 2014. Now go on kids, off you go. You've got some homework to do now.- at dreamworld now taking photo requests
I fail to see the 23 turbines.....- at dreamworld now taking photo requests
They probably won't re-theme it, but I'm sure they'll add a turbine to create the wave- at dreamworld now taking photo requests
Most people on here take the piss out of Dreamworld. Myself included, and I for one will continue to do so as long as they keep trying to call themselves a "theme"park in their current state. Wipeout's not moving, it's just being rebuilt to prolong it's lifespan. This kind of thing has happened before and will likely happen again.- Wet n Wild: Concept vs reality

But they have this pissed off/depressed look in their eyes. They can rebuild it. They have the technology. In other DW news, I did see a couple of management guys wandering around with a clipboard looking at rides and smiling. This to me suggests one of two things. 1- They're researching to see how they can add more turbines to existing rides 2- They're working out which rides are still open and how they can cut back on running them. (I mean why close half the park at 4pm?!)- Sea World Wild: What Could It Be?

Awesome work. I guess I should plan and try better next time. I do love these birds though....- The Off Topic Topic

Throwing a guess out there. I say we'll hear an announcement mid to late year after the excitement dies down over HWSD2 - or at least their promos (basing this on them wanting to spread the love around their parks). Let's say we have an announcement at the latest September 2014, I'd say we could look at an opening Easter 2015 or September 2015 at the latest. However, in my second opinion, now that Storm's here, the love could move back to MW and we might hear something about LTRR. Finally in my third guess, the love heads back on over to WnW. I mean we've gone Constrictor > Storm > HWSD2, so they might head back to WnW, although they seem to focus less on them compared to the others, or at least it seems that way to me.- Dreamworld - the good and the bad
It's weird. I thought people on here ages ago were saying they've been turned off, and while most of them have, this one wasn't working for about 15mins then all of a sudden came on. Maybe it's lazy staff forgetting, or the ~$10,000 worth of TVs for theming got too expensive to run now. Overall DW has good rides, good animal displays and good frozen coke, but that's about where the "good" finishes, for me at least.- Dreamworld - the good and the bad
Those lights are probably the ones missing from the Buzzsaw queue line! Speaking of, 1 of the TV's was working in the queue on Thursday (the one closest to the station entry)- All Joz's gaming stuff together
Yay! It's working. Thanks. Nope still dead at this link http://depositfiles.com/files/ipssbuc4t
