  1. So what you're saying is that it's not possible that they may fill in that section completely, and build a different salt water pool?
  2. Why's that? Because the final design hasn't been revealed and you just happen to know so much more than the rest of us?
  3. True, I guess it all come down to whether or not they end up having live animals, although I suppose the salt water might affect the animatronics too?
  4. ^ Why would they make it look like a shipping container when it's about "Coast Rescue" or whatever was on those boats? Wouldn't a surf club/lifesaver hq be more appropriate?
  5. I'd say they probably will, but it would make a nice and easy water section if they're having a jungle theme going on.
  6. ^ What's on top of the castle building? Just normal air con or something else?
  7. I miss the days of free will
  8. Yeah, that doesn't surprise me, it has had public holidays wrong before too. Really all I use it for is the date, and it hasn't got that wrong yet. That's not really something to look so excited about.
  9. 30 seconds later, we have this
  10. Not sure which is correct, but someone can fix that up. Wiki says it was June 9, my calendar at work lists it as June 11 1979, but either way we're at the anniversary of the fire of the Ghost Train at Luna Park Sydney.
  11. OMFG can everyone stop going on about selling motocoaster! It's never going to happen. Sure, it's not the best ride, and personally I don't like it either, but it's not going anywhere. We just need to accept that and move on. Plus a woody in that area, IMO, would suck, I'd rather them invest in a decent sized ride rather than trying to cram something crap in.
  12. Not necessarily, they've been investing a lot in flat rides lately. Not to mention they last invested in a "good" rollercoaster called Buzzsaw.
  13. Who's the insider giving all their pics? Wouldn't have thought the park would be too happy with that
  14. ^ It's almost a given, I mean they can't just keep letting VRTP keep pulling further and further away without thinking of doing anything
  15. I mean I know I haven't been there in quite a long time, but since when were there only 2 rides left in Dreamworld?
  16. ^ hey cool! it's going to have a jump as well!
  17. Has anyone been there? How's the park compare with the Californian one? (I'm not looking for assumptions, I can make those on my own, I mean people who have actually visited the park)
  18. I just don't understand how they feel it's still viable to keep the park running though?
  19. Also a rich dude spends 15mil euro in 3 days at the park. A SAUDI prince has spent 15 million euros ($A20.41 million) for three days of fun at Disneyland near Paris to celebrate his degree, the group that runs the theme park says. Prince Fahd al-Saud booked entire areas of the park between May 22 and 24 for his 60-odd guests. The festivities included tailor-made events involving "rare Disney characters", Euro Disney said.. Special security was put in place for the prince, one of the park's top customers, it added. The theme park attracted 16 million visitors last year but Euro Disney has not made any profits since it was set up 20 years ago. In the six months to March, the group had a net loss of 89.1 million euros compared with a loss of 11.8 million euros in the same period last year. 20. Cheers, so prior to their reasonably recent upgrade, the local cinema must (I assume anyway) have been using film. Anyway, a few years back I was watching a movie and all of the ads at the start were out of sync by 1 (we'll call them slides) slide. Basically the screen might be showing an ad for a golf course but the audio was about sizzler or something. It all came good when there was this one ad that kept the one slide on the screen longer than normal - almost as if it was taking up the space of 2 slides. The ad was a warning about a panther being loose in the centre or something, I can't really remember, question out of all this is, why would they need to have everything out of sync until this one ad came on? And no it wasn't just a glitch on that day, it was the same issue across multiple movies and they were all fixed during that one ad. Weird things are weird
  21. dj, just out of interest, with the digital ones, is it basically just a larger scale of playing a .mkv through vlc on a computer? (I hope that makes sense) also do you know how they get the files sent between countries for the film? "digital copies" I mean, are they sent on disk, hdd, downloaded from a server somewhere?
  22. Didn't really seem thread worthy. I'm sure an admin can move if they think otherwise. So apart from a completely bullshit headline and opening to the story, we have this... Bullshit aside, it will be interesting to see what it actually turns out to be. For those who hate news.com.au writing (don't we all)... >Small explosion in trash bin in Toontown, Disneyland, CA >Toowtown closed - not the whole park as mentioned in the title >Might be related to dry ice in or near the bin >Investigations continuing
