Made the trip out to Luna park to ride the scenic railway only to find out was closed on and off today due to rain. II had to walk into the park to discover this, so that counts as a visit, yeah?

Are we talking about the same park? Main entry station could be closed off with a temp relocation of (is it still animal adventures in there?) that building it's next to. Then you've got 1 pole on the water's edge - not impacting anything. 1 Pole in the water resulting in a temp closure of that walkway for maybe 2 days? 1 pole (based on google maps) near a dolphin pool which shouldn't result in any impact to guests apart from a small path area being closed off. 1 pole near the log ride station - time it with the maint for log ride and you've got little to no impact. 1 pole just outside the second station - not sure how it fits in with storm but shouldn't be too hard to remove in a day or so. Final station building should be pretty much on its own still isn't it?

I have absolutely no idea. I'm sitting in my hotel in Melbourne currently so had to miss out on tonight's event. Doubt they'd tell me they were going to do it anyway?

I'd love to see it enclosed, themed to a racetrack on the inside, air con, along with the sound of V8's roaring through the building with a burst of air every now and then matching the sound of one of the cars going by.

A hot lap is also what cars do after their out lap in qualifying. Most car races do have inversions, followed by a nice ambulance ride to the local hospital

I didn't actually realise until last week there was another fire show at the end of the night. Managed to get ourselves in position for this one last night.

This year's tour segment was way better than last year. If I had the disposable income, and if it wasn't sold out, I'd be doing the tour again tomorrow night.

I'm pretty sure I've said this in previous years too, but to clarify: The fog is dangerous. Should it be removed? No. Certainly not. Should they look into a way to make the area safer? Yes. It's fine after around 30sec or so as it starts to dissipate and you can see again, but no one is going to stop every 30 seconds to wait for it to clear. Maybe they did look into it a bit before this year, hence the apparent lack of scare actors in that area (again, maybe I just walked through at the wrong time). Every year if you walk through that area when the fog is going off, you're likely to hear "wow I can hardly see anything" or "I can't see anything in front of me" this isn't just from older people, it's young/adults/teens/all ages. You're right that a divider may not solve the problem, but it might? No one seems smart enough to keep left on their own. This issue remains though that people will run/walk fast/walk slow/stop in that alley and around superman (and to a lesser extent, that first part of main street near guest services. People will also run in random directions to escape the actors. It's also an issue when hidden in that fog you find 20cm high kerbs. That's a nice recipe for a twisted/broken ankle. Again, I do not want to see the fog removed. I just think they could look at ways to make it safer without removing the effects.
