  1. Just for an idea of timeframe, I remember being at Seaworld in Oct 09 and doing a survey about Battle Sails which then opened Sept 2010.
  2. Why is this such an issue for everyone? They're not asking you to share a lap dance with the fat guy next to you. Are you required to use someone's manboobs as handles? No Are you required to have some random chick in a bikini sit on your lap to ride? No (that's a shame) Are you required to be half naked? No At worst your feet might touch. If you're worried about germs and human contact from that you probably shouldn't be in a public waterpark.

  4. I figure you would have done it already if you felt the need, but should all the posts we've made talking about the price and other info be removed too before someone decided to treat it as fact?
  5. I haven't though.... Where did I say any of what I was talking about was confirmed fact? I even stated That it was my opinion and the site may not have the correct info on there. I also mentioned the times I was speaking of were from memory.
  6. Rides 9, park 11 (from memory)
  7. 7:30 does kind of suck for a start time though. I thought it was always around 6 before? Or even stay in the park if you were already there and had an armband? edit- That only gives you 1.5 hours to ride everything. That suggests some possibilities to me. 1- They screwed up the time on that site 2- They are expecting people to get the rides out of the way before 9 and only then go through the mazes 3- They reduced the price to entice people to visit more than once
  8. $30 per night, so $10 cheaper than before. I think $70 is actually really good value if you plan on going several times. A lot of people may want to go 3 times or more.
  9. LTRR - Do we know for certain it is still standing? I assume it would be, but at least they've hidden it so it doesn't look like something should be there now. BT - Being replaced at the moment BTAR - Being replaced at the moment Dreamworld on the other hand now has Chairlift - Removed, but the poles still show what used to be. Eureka - Still SBNO with no obvious plans for that to ever change. Capt Sturt - Unless something has changed, last I heard it's now SBNO And just to be picky - The area of the old waterpark - the slides and mountain are still there with no sign of being replaced. Cyclone - Queue area - even to people who haven't been there before it's obvious something used to be there and now just looks tacky.
  10. ^ I was more implying that WVTP actually do things with their parks instead of having several rides sbno, not one in particular
  11. ^These kind of photos should be shared with dreamworld to show them ow easy it is to move forward
  12. While it is possible that it's going I really hope not as I quite like the show and it does still soak up a good crowd. The others are right, there is a lot of DC, but is that such a bad thing? Do we really need to complain (not saying you here) that they are making it DC, can't we just enjoy the money they're willing to pump into making it a better quality park? Why is nothing based on them? What other large franchise has the lasting appeal? (I honestly can't think of any but am quite happy to be corrected here). If the rumours are true about replacing it it would suck. Would it actually happen though? Or would it just be like the rumour that the SeaWorld show was going to be in 6 month "seasonal" rotations? I think that yea, don't think anything of it. It would be like if I went to work in a blue shirt and someone said "you know you don't work at anz" its just one of those comments you make.
  13. A crocodile is any species belonging to the family Crocodylidae (sometimes classified instead as the subfamily Crocodylinae). The term can also be used more loosely to include all extant members of the order Crocodilia: i.e. the true crocodiles, the alligators and caimans (family Alligatoridae) and the gharials (family Gavialidae), as well as the Crocodylomorpha, which include prehistoric crocodile relatives and ancestors. Member species of the family Crocodylidae are large aquatic reptiles that live throughout the tropics in Africa, Asia, the Americas and Australia. Crocodiles tend to congregate in freshwater habitats such as rivers, lakes, wetlands and sometimes in brackish water. They feed mostly on vertebrates - fish, reptiles, and mammals, and sometimes on invertebrates - molluscs and crustaceans, depending on species. They first appeared during the Eocene epoch, about 55 million years ago.
  14. I like how he had a metal rod up his ass and the first thing the park did was let him wash up and then they bought him lunch.
  15. Hey mate, Welcome to the forums. It's not always the endless shit fight it has been in some threads lately
  16. 3rd request for lock oh wait thats what report is for
  17. No, but whining like a little school girl won't help your cause. Would it be possible for SW to go to the state government for assistance with building a higher roller coaster? Yes, but why would they? What incentive can they offer the government? There are 2 other parks within a close enough area that they have no need to grant them approval. I mean, sure, it might happen, but they would have to please a pretty damn good case for the government to step in and overrule the council. The excuse of those guys down the road have them, why can't I? probably wouldn't be the best.
  18. ^ You'll find that 90% of the time any formal reply from any kind of company for any kind of mistake sounds very generic. There's probably a "how to cover your ass and make generic excuses and replies in the corporate world for dummies" book somewhere
  19. They look to be about 1m x 1m or a bit smaller and you can clearly see them on the right side of the drop right hand side if you're facing the spider I think.
  20. Maybe their password was hacked to send you that email too!
  21. I've seen the mirrors plenty of times, but never with a laser pointing at them
  22. Can we please just all zip them up and go back to talking about themeparks please
  23. Sounds like a job for mythbusters
  24. ^I know, I just came here because I was bored and haven't posted much lately
