  1. From todays half year results report from Ardent Australia's first Jelly Belly retail store to open Q3 FY17 New entrance and exit plaza including The Park Patisserie and Grill adjoining new LEGO store to open in Q3 Looks like it should open next month.
  2. ^My guess is the write off would include TRR, Eureka and Rocky Hollow but even then it's big chunk of cash.
  3. Not Orcas like the U.S. have had but false killer whales. Not much bigger than a dolphin. I remember Squirt in the 80's. Part of the show was to grab a kids hat have Squirt launch it into the air from his blow hole. They would also grab a kid from the crowd and sit them on Squirts back. My sister got to do this. This old commercial shows a false killer whale right towards the end. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3bh8a2Krxx4
  4. The Sunshine Coast's $400 million rival to the Gold Coast's Wet'n'Wild theme park has been given council approval. The concept, floated since 2015, includes a state-of-the-art water park on Steve Irwin Way with a wave machine, a four-star hotel, pools, slides, kayaking and paddle-boarding plus a large sports field for major sports events. http://www.smh.com.au/queensland/investment-firm-to-splash-400-million-on-new-water-park-at-sunshine-coast-20170216-guef2p.html
  5. Based on Rule Three it is albeit a Powered Coaster. From RCDB.com Definition: a roller coaster that is electrically powered throughout the entire ride. https://rcdb.com/2383.htm
  6. ^You're right @AlexB. I read the 2 as an 8. Maybe it's time for glasses
  7. This turned up on nine this morning about the fate of Demon and other rides after Wonderland closed http://www.9news.com.au/9stories/2017/02/02/13/07/the-demon-lives-on-after-sydney-wonderlands-untimely-demise
  8. ^I would say so. Given how intertwined they are complete removal of both seems certain.
  9. ^I don't think you'll get a good view of the park from this one. View of Top Golf and WNW should be good thou.
  10. and here I thought we were getting the pink power ranger hyper coaster
  11. Your other problem will be is that Flash's lift hill runs through the center of the loop. Entire Lewa park is here https://www.google.com/maps/place/34°28'34.7"N+108°54'45.4"E/@34.4766507,108.9129454,553m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x0!8m2!3d34.476299!4d108.912605
  12. We rode SDSC yesterday and whilst I enjoyed being able to see it in it's exposed state I did feel for the tourists in front of us that missed out on the classic SDSC experience. Disco room was actually quite good. Lots of smoke and the laser really lit it up. I did notice the lighting in the queue seemed dimmer than normal.
  13. @Alexb You beat me to it. Here we go with another media beat up.
  14. Looking at the comments so far are we assuming the coaster will load and unload on the same side? What if you walked under the lift hill to the queue line and then exited on the other side. Both the JL/GL and SE pathways would serve as access to the coaster and keep the entry/exit areas within close proximity for the non riders waiting for others.
  15. I agree. If the DC theme is being followed the WW and Flash would be logical choices. WW is currently celebrating her 75th anniversary and the movie is out next year which gives a promotional opportunity to jump on the back of. At this rate we may see track before an announcement and the colour of the track may help with the guessing.
  16. So true but unfortunately the residents usually win. The loss of live music venues in the valley, noise restrictions at Suncorp stadium and the 10:30PM curfew at Archerfield speedway to name a few.
  17. Beverley Hills Cop. Although the third was lacking in some respect it did have a theme park.
  18. I agree that Golf is a quiet game but this is Top Golf the Happy Gilmore of the driving range. Add in the booze, food and party atmosphere it may get rowdy. As you pointed out thou it's about 800 metres from the western side residents which you would hope is far enough.
  19. After looking at the Top Golf website to see what it's all about I wonder how many noise complaints there will be once it's operational assuming it will open at night.
  20. @YLFATEEKS I'm getting this third hand so I don't get authority info etc just the good stuff. It's located between the Hyper Coaster and the Studio Filming Tank facing the highway.
  21. @YLFATEEKS Docs are from VRTP but I'm told Cockram Constructions asked for the tender.
  22. Back on the Top Golf topic the tender for the civil works has gone out.
  23. This link should work http://www.news.com.au/news/dreamworld-issued-three-prohibition-notices-over-buzzsaw-ride-during-whsq-audit/news-story/d005999940acb5077b5995bda959e6cd
