I'm still vouching for XenForo for the forums.

Love the new design. Excited to see what else is to come in the future

Plus, it would be a perfect replacement for LTRR. As far as I know, Lego would be far more relevant to children of today than Looney Tunes. But whether it replaces LTRR or not, it'd be a great ride to have in the park.

Concepts always look much better than the real product. But the difference here is quite big.

The mini cars was definitely going ahead as of late May last year. Someone said earlier that it was put on hold to fund the new polar bear shores extension. Wild, I'm not so sure about. They were advertising from a fair while before the opening date without releasing very much information. This is more likely to be a case of premature advertisement, but you still can't be certain.

New multi $Billion Edutainment Theme Park for Australia
mba2012 replied to ElysianWorld's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I actually think Sydney would be the place to go if you want international visitors. The Gold Coast is more of destination for domestic tourists to go visit, although it is becoming more popular with international tourists. If something this big was built on the Gold Coast, I think it would attract at least a few more international tourists.- 50 replies

New multi $Billion Edutainment Theme Park for Australia

So, say this was a serious project. Who are you getting most of your funding from, and what sort of time span are looking at to get this constructed?- 50 replies

EDIT: You know what, don't mind me, I should always read things in full first...

Too hot But Hong Kong is just an awkward little thing where no one actually knows what country it's in. And I've found Singapore far better than Hong Kong.

If you are going on an overseas trip, I'd recommend you pick the place you want to go to without considering the theme parks, look at them as something extra to do. Just my opinion though. Europe is my favourite place in the world (haven't been to the US, it doesn't excite me much) because it has such an interesting history, and is an amazing experience. Europe has plenty of stuff to do, and plenty of good theme parks.

I made the comment about cracks on Sea Viper. The one man maintenance team wasn't me
-
It's fairly old. And as far as I know, it has been experiencing some issues with cracking in the tracks.
-
It'd probably be so bad I could buy it...
-
If it true that the construction company is booked for 2 months at the most, I very highly doubt we're seeing a full length coaster...

I have to agree that London is a great city, and we'll be spending a fair while there. But I really do want to ride Oblivion and Nemesis. We'll probably be doing a fair bit of travelling around the UK, so it may not be all that hard to get to Alton Towers, but it is in the middle of no where... I noticed that both parks are owned by Merlin Entertainments, are there any special passes or something that you can buy to get into both parks?

I'm going to be in England around June/July this year, and while I'm over there, I want to go to one of these parks. I'm probably not going to be able to go to both parks. I'd like to know which park you guys would recommend? At the moment, I'd like to go to Alton towers to ride on Oblivion and Air, but the prices look cheaper at Thorpe Park and it'd be far easier to get to. So what are your experiences at the parks and which rides would be worth riding? And has anyone seen that Thorpe Park is opening a new Angry Birds land in May?

Tipplers and Couran cove on South Stradbroke both went bankrupt a few years ago(or got very close to it). But Couran Cove was sold and has recently reopened. Probably not the places you were looking for though.

Did anyone take note of the No Jumping signs now on the gate?

As long as someone aged 18+ purchases the tickets, and the area is not open to the public, then I think it's absolutely fine and legal.

Sea World Storm Coaster construction 2013

That's an interesting article. I noticed right at the end, they referred to White Water World as Whitewater Bay. -
What does it take to be a Looney Tunes character?
mba2012 replied to kujotess's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I've seen some interviews with some of the characters. Apparently it is quite hard work. They do look for people with an accent, and you have to stay in character the whole time, even when talking to other staff members. There are news articles around the place about this. -
Lets just stick to that

At least with the teenage population then. I prefer MW, but all of my friends prefer Dreamworld. On the basis of it having more rides.
-
This. As much as we complain and see it as a bad park, the majority of the general public actually see Dreamworld as the better theme park on the Gold Coast.
