  1. I'm lucky I get free access to Nearmaps through my university, I'll post screen captures if there is anything worth seeing.
  2. I'm waiting for Nearmaps to update hopefully in the next week or so for a clearer view of the "behind the scenes area" to see if it can shed some more light on the subject. (and other construction- seaworld storm coaster, wet n wild Sydney etc.).
  3. I highly doubt they would make the track longer for the vikings ride after just shortening it. They would have already known the layout and footprint of the water coaster before shortening the vikings ride and obviously made the new track to fit into that space, it's probably only closing for so long while they do most of the construction on the water coaster, I would rather see appropriate theming added to the ride, rather then making it longer.
  4. Thanks, was pretty interesting. Quite a few references to The Justice League Ride and Movie World in some of the photos.
  5. No I've definitely had audio everytime, though many would be re-rides on the same day that happened to have audio running. Though I still haven't experienced Arkham Asylum with audio yet.
  6. No sorry your right, the oath only repeats through the speakers in the actual station not the on-ride audio.
  7. The green lantern oath is also recited as you go up the lift hill. Out of the 15+ times I've ridden, I have had audio every time.
  8. I did notice that they mentioned it on the new VIP pass add,
  9. If I remember correctly there are videos in the Big Red Car Ride that feature the original wiggles, perhaps these will be re-filmed?
  10. Those lions are back again, they look like the same ones used for the "'Mummy Tomb Live" scare maze, and where used for the Chinese New Year decorations at the Billabomg Resturant.
  11. Agreed seems more likely that the soundstage will be used for the "Wild" attraction
  12. I believe there was 4 or 5 theatres running at a time with a fairly large group in each
  13. They should put a movie experince display themed to Batman in the chinatown theatre - display the Batmobiles that they already have and add a couple of replica props/costumes from the movies, It would be good to see movie world return to the movie magic side of things, plus it would bring a bit more life to that area of the park
  14. I think they should just play the actual movie during the queue or at least the Spooky Coaster scenes so guests can a see a lot the props that in the movie that will appear on the ride, I suspect they can't just play whole movie though due to "public broadcast infringments"
  15. Perhaps the "Storm Coaster" won't utilise the indoor section from the Bermuda Triangle and this will be a river cruise inside the showstage??
  16. Has anyone experienced Arkham Asylum with the onbaord audio yet? If so what is it like?
  17. Did you take any pics or videos of the area? and how do the two different intensity versions of Pandamonium work?
  18. Kung Fu Panda Land is now open - ahead of its official opening this Friday, would be pretty busy I imagine as the first weekday of the summer school holidays.
  19. Yes I know Warner Bros. doesn't own the Park. It is owned and operated by Village Roadshow (which is in very close partnership with Warner Bros.) and yes the Superhero rides in the park are all themed to the Comic books and not the films (except for Arkham Asylum - which is themed to the video game), It is mainly due to royalties. Warner Bros. owns the rights to both the film and Comic versions of all DC Hereos - as they own DC Comics. However it is much cheaper for example to theme the ride to Green Lantern Comics as apposed to the film as there are less royalties involved - for example they do not have to pay the actor - Ryan Reynolds for usining his "likeness" in the park. A simular thing happed to Disney with Amy Adams - the princess Gisselle (from Enchanted) no longer appears at the Disney Parks or on any merchandise as the Actor who originally portrayed her (Amy Adams) would have to receive payment everytime she did appear.
  20. You won't be seeing any Harry Potter themed rides any-time soon, Yes WB owns the rights to the film elements of Harry Potter, but JK Rowling still has a major say in what happens. Besides Universal Studios would have a exclusive rights to to Harry Potter Themepark attractions (yes we have a Harry Potter shop at MW, but thats really only by name). I think they should keep it as it was, a dark water ride- just with an new storyline and updated anamatronics.
  21. Village Roadshow is actually said to be paying over $7 million to upgrade the roads around the Wet 'n' Wild Sydeny site itself.
  22. Thrill Zone just posted this on there Facebook page. Looks pretty cool, perhaps a lot of people are still having trouble finding the ride enterance?? Also nice to see the added themeing to the Superman pillars, and the Hydrant etc.
  23. I really think they will just run the intesity levels on alternating cycles, it will cause no confusion when entering the cars - as only one group will be admitted at a time, so there will be no chance of getting in the wrong one.
  24. I'd say would they would run on a 50/50 split - or just do consecutive cycles on alternating intensities, one round with all arms on "insane" and the next round with all arms on "not so crazy"
  25. I never said they were the wolves - I said they look like the wolves to me - Which at the time was the closest thing I could think of from the flm series, and was my own opinion and therefore could not be right or wrong, although you so nicely as community leader said "Fail. They look nothing alike." While not being constructive and offering your own input, or better idea. and Yes there is a difference between Chinese Lion and Dragon Dances - But most people will just refer to both as "Dragon", but does is really matter what Dreamworld calls them?
