  1. I noticed that it was one of the most complained about aspects of the park on Facebook, so it's good to see Dreamworld listening and implementing changes.
  2. I thought this site was common knowledge for a long time on Parkz? I have have constant suggested ads for the website on my Facebook feed for months now. It is a great site though!
  3. I'd go just to have a look, but wouldn't buy anything - why pay full RRP for sets that you can get cheaper at your local shopping centre? I understand if its an exclusive that can only be bought from Lego stores directly but other than that i'd not be interested. I just went down to my local Big W yesterday and they had 2 Deathstars available for $598 each so why drive to Dreamworld to pay $800??
  4. They are likely to keep it open until after NSW schools go back though, and with the Australia Day Public Holiday they would probably want it open for that as well.
  5. Agree, LED strip lighting often looks tacky, especially when it isn't recessed or properly diffused. If they keep it on a single solid colour (yellow or red) it would probably look better.
  6. Well I guess it is possible to reduce something down to zero ? But to be fair the stations are still themed and Aragog is still hanging out in the wild mouse section ?
  7. Found this response on Facebook regarding a visitors question about the current state of he ride: "There are plans for thematic enhancements to be made at Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster. We started the enhancements to the attraction during the maintenance period, however we want guests to be able to experience the attraction over the school holiday period so it is currently open with reduced theming to the dark part of the ride."
  8. A 3% drop in shares in one day is quite significant and it is highly unlikely it was just a coincidence.
  9. I doubt they had any plans to close the ride, or have any solid plans for a new attraction in its place. The sign was most likely placed to ease some people's frustrations at its closure.
  10. I rode Arkham with VR for the first time yesterday (you get one VR ride included with the unlimited fast track band), overall it was a great experience, I wouldn't say it was any better or worse with VR just a different experience. Funnily enough I found the lift hill the most enjoyable part with VR. It would be a lot more immersive if sound could also be implemented. The only downside is the extra time it takes to load and dispatch the trains when VR is operating, a few people had to have headsets swapped out and recalibrated each time. Not sure if it has been mentioned but TV's have been added to the queue line playing footage of Harley and the Joker in a lab talking about the treatment (in the same animation style as the games).
  11. Can confirm that the axes are still swinging and at least animatronic is still in place but not operating.
  12. The attraction is already up and running "Long Shot" *can't rotate photo on iPhone sorry ?
  13. Just rode Scooby, it is very dark, making it hard to see the temp fencing which is in place. The final room did have haze and the laser lights working. It was a very eery feeling riding in its current state.
  14. Cameras are allowed on Scooby though, why would there be any consequences? MW always asks for private details to discuss complaints, nothing out of the ordinary.
  15. I was at the park on Tuesday and their was signage in front of the slide area stating that it would reopen mid December, which has clearly past, so not sure what the hold up could be.
  16. How do you know the crowd numbers they were anticipating?
  17. This is current list of rides and attractions opening tomorrow:
  18. I just think they should be more careful as not to draw anymore negative attention to themselves, especially knowing the media will be all over this reopening day.
  19. The Big Red Car, Teacups and Giggle & Hoot Bounce are not listed as being open on Saturday - only the ABC World area itself, including the maze and ship.
