  1. Damn shame it closed. It was in good condition. Maybe if I complain hard enough on Dreamworld's website and email they'll change their minds
  2. I'm excited for it, maybe it'll shed some details on the ride that I don't know already
  3. I don't want to see that queue line go. It's by far the most interesting queue in the park and it would suck if Dreamworld would actually tear it down
  4. Well Movie World has the better theming and park management that's for sure
  5. I'm just happy to be seeing the vortex go up at last and with the Leviathan coaster going up later this year, sea world is set to win back the crowds again
  6. Whatever it is, it should be great. Dreamworld have never let me down when it comes to their rides
  7. I just think that Dreamworld should focus on creating more themed experiences in their park because that's what they're best at. Sky Voyager was a great addition to the park and is a perfect attraction for all audiences. If Dreamworld want to take in more people, that's the direction they should be taking
  8. Do you have any idea if it's going to be shuttle or full circuit
  9. Apart from the steam being taken away and the water going down the stairs not working 100% nothing really has changed since it first opened
  10. I think this sounds like a great idea! I haven't been to the US is over 8 years and sounds like a great way to meet some more people in the parkz community. Plus the whole tour sounds incredible and is something I'll keep in mind for next year even though I'll probably only do part B
  11. The mid to late 2000s to around 2011 was probably the best period Sea World has had so far
  12. It really doesn't matter to me if its just over one metre off, it's still a hypercoaster in my book, even though it's not technically official, it's just too tiny of a difference. If it was 5-10 metres short then i would say wouldn't be able to hold the title Youre just going to have to put your hands up reeeeeallly high while going over the lift hill!
  13. You would also have to keep in mind that a large part of the Vikings Flume horseshoes around the roof of the 4D theatre which supports the elevated part of the ride. So if Sea World did decide to scrap Vikings and build a new attraction in it's place, it would have to correspond with the theatre's location or be stuck with a really small ride footprint
  14. Actually from all the forums ive seen (not very many) and of all the forums ive actually been on (even fewer). This one has to be the best, the majority of the people here are actually really nice, Honestly
  15. Seriously though, this ride looks like it's going to be awesome and I cannot wait until this ride opens next year I'm so pumped!!!! It's been a few years since I've ridden a new large coaster since I rarely go overseas and only fly about once a year. I haven't even ridden Abyss yet and I've never been to Melbourne or Perth
  16. https://www.google.com.au/amp/s/amp.brisbanetimes.com.au/queensland/dreamworld-fatalities-come-after-history-of-theme-park-accidents-20161025-gsagvk.html?client=safari This article states that Dreamworld has had at least 5 serious safety incidents since 1995. I never knew of these incidents until now Apart from the log ride incident and the fatal helicopter crash in 2009 I thought Dreamworld up to this point has had an almost completely perfect safety record ever since the day it opened three decades ago.
  17. Is it just me of has that ride been closed for Maintenence for a while now. In December 2013 me and my family went up to Aussie World for the first time and I was looking forward to riding it, but to my dissapointment it was down for Maintenence. But anyway I still had a good time and would come back again some other time when it was open. I just checked their website a few days ago and it says it's down for Maintenence.... Still? Maybe it has been operating in the time since then but the site doesn't really give that much info whether their rides will be open or closed or for how long, so maybe someone here has a better idea what's going on.
  18. If they both demolished eureka and the motocoaster and both build something better in their place I think the park would greatly benefit from that Eurekas replacement should be something like mystery mine at dollywood or some type of eurofighter with an indoor dark ride section followed by a few inversions in a compact space
  19. Scooby Doo is an obviously longer and more complex ride but in ways Eureka is more intense even though it lasts only about a minute If only it went backwards....
  20. yeah but the test runs are pretty few and far between, there is still glimmers of hope but we still don't exactly know why the ride closed in the first place. A ride doesn't just close for almost 10 years with out a good reason, for all we know there could be tons of problems inside that mountain that might can't be fixed
  21. I think the main reason why people are so upset with this whole issue is not the fact that the ride closed, but how it closed so suddenly without prior warning. I went on it basically only about a month before and had no idea that there was anything wrong with it and that it would close. And when it did close Dreamworld said it was only shut for maintenance reasons and will open again soon. Now, 10 years later and it still stands there abandoned without Dreamworld giving the general public a proper explanation on why the ride's just sitting there rotting away. I've really lost hope that the ride will ever open again, the coaster's screwed
