  1. As already said, there is plenty of movement, with a couple more pieces installed, but today it seems the focus is moving the footings from the carpark to the coaster site. Tried the best I could to get some photos of the footings at the station and break run area, but with the new fencing it has made it a bit trickier. There seems to be even more pieces of track on site now, some with a good curve to them. You'll also notice a number of pieces have had some of the paint removed off parts of the track.
  2. I know this video isn't real or accurate, but at around 7 seconds, you can see how I am imaging this part of the coaster will go, based off the tall footings we've seen.
  3. I get your point, and understand why you think that, and I have seen it in person (was last there Tuesday), but I'm sure it will be all ready by the date, but they have already extended the date by two weeks. Just have to see
  4. According to TPSN, it's going to be the lift hill.
  5. I think you mean April 24. And I can see it happening. They've got just over a week, and it should only take a couple of days to put it all back together and do some testing.
  6. They've made a decision about the ride though. DW have announced it will be reopening.
  7. https://au.news.yahoo.com/a/35039293/dreamworlds-troublesome-buzzsaw-leaves-12-good-friday-visitors-stuck-on-ride/ "It comes after a malfunction on the Thunder River Rapids ride killed four people last October. Dreamworld and the nearby WhiteWater World were shut for 45 days following the tragedy and visitor numbers at the park slumped 63 per cent once it reopened in December." Why do they need to keep referring to this when a ride stops. The stoppage is completely unrelated. But I suppose, 'that's the media'
  8. Great to see videos like this and how the parks used to be. One thing I didn't realise they had was water pouring off the top of the wave of Wipeout. I remember the pool of water and fluffy in there, but never remember that feature, when was that turned off?
  9. Twenty-four people are stuck on the Joker's Jinx at Six Flags America, with a special rescue team on scene. Riders are stuck about 100 feet in the air, and authorities said the coaster is at about a 30-degree angle. None of them are in distress, and they're just being urged to remain calm. Firefighters, EMTs and a high-angle rescue team were at the scene, an estimated 75 rescuers in all, along with staff from Six Flags America. http://www.fox5dc.com/news/local-news/248441128-story
  10. @loki75 I forgot about being able to see through there, but I'm not sure if it has been screened off or not. I couldn't see from the carpark, and didn't go in the park yesterday
  11. I went and checked it out around 4:30, and nothing much had changed since @Glubbo update, however I will say about the change to the entry, as it has changed (or he assumed) since what @AlexB drew a diagram of. The road doesn't link to the usual road in which buses drive along, that has also been closed off. Here is showing the road blocked off now: And here is a map showing the carpark system now: Black is fencing, blue dot is someone directing buses, red is bus route (buses do now drive over the pathway where blue dot is), orange is general traffic route and green is parallel parking spaces. So from now on, for people to get photos of footings and track installation around the station area, you will need to take a camera with a big lens
  12. This area where these supports are going, is around the area of where a couple footings are outside the fence, which I imagine would be a part of the coaster that is quite high up, and when you look on the nearmap image there aren't many close to them. So I'm still thinking at this stage it could be a loop. Also appears there is even more track in the area now too. Maybe we will see a piece go up this afternoon, if not mid next week
  13. Those footings that have been installed, very much look like those at the base of the loop (left of where you've circled), so I agree that if there is a loop, this will be its location.
  14. Good point, but, and I know this isn't as steep, but I've climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge which is 134m and I didn't find that overly tiring at all.
  15. Imagine a coaster track walk like they do for AA. This coaster might be almost double the height of AA, so the view from the top of the lift hill would be even more amazing
  16. Well if this larger crane has arrived, and tall pieces of supports are being installed, maybe the area where the track was moved to yesterday, will be a loop or an airtime hill. Will be interesting to see what happens today.
  17. Three more pieces were moved onto the site this afternoon (Photo TPSN)
  18. @Reanimated35 I thought it would be pretty obvious that this is the reason for GL closure (along with maintenance), since the rides envelope is right next to this new coaster, and there are a number of footings within the GL fencing. High cranes, installing coaster parts very close to another ride wouldn't be safe to operate.
  19. We won't see the lift hill and first drop installed until the end of May and into June when GL is closed
  20. Temp fence guys may be reworking the fencing for the site, for when the temporary road is used, as right now, part of it is fenced off
  21. I think, like Lego, it comes down to how much you love the product itself, and that's what creates the hype for it all. And as these are first offical stores in the country, of course fans will get excited.
  22. So we should here something anytime between now and the end of the month. At least it's something
  23. Went into the store on my visit to DW today and must say, it was even smaller than what the photos showed. Really small. But I suppose it is enough space for what's needed.
