  1. ^That was exactly my thought when I saw this, and it has only been posted on the website over night. So I'm thinking that they've just got confirmation for when the track and supports are set to arrive, this whole area, except for GL will be fenced off and some of the supports for lifthill will be stored here and can be easily moved onto site. And then when the rides reopen there will be a banner on the door at the end of this space saying about the ride opening soon
  2. Both the Batwing and JL ride are closed from 20/2 reopening 26/3
  3. The back of the Nickelodeon Store is getting some work done (Photo TPSN) I really think that the decked area in the right of th image should be properly opened up and have some tables/chairs for people to sit and eat, or enjoy the stunt show from. They've basically now closed the whole part off and can only be accessed from the side and it isn't very clear if you haven't visited the park before or if you don't take any notice.
  4. Cyclone rebuild photos..... Now they would be good to see ?
  5. Yeah I don't think that area is big enough for a full coasters track pieces
  6. Having been to Tiger Island quite a few times now since its reopening, there are definitely 'better' spots for views (especially for photography), but generally just sitting or walking, you get a view of the whole island from nearly everywhere. But I will admit when I first saw those images, did find it a bit strange that they did seperate the people, especially as the majority of them are at the bottom. But the people at the top do still get a good view, just not as close up for pictures taken on your phone. Does look really well dressed with the lantern and candles throughout the tables and stadium, and good to see they didn't go for tacky chairs or tables.
  7. ^That's what I was thinking, since they stored the Mack crates there. But there will be a lot of coaster track, so I'm thinking it will be on the grasses overflow area, or on the gravel part of the carpark right next to the site. SE was stored on the grass, which was even further from its actual site.
  8. Im pretty sure everyone has heard of Doctor Who, is the same way everyone has heard of Star Wars and Harry Potter. But not everyone could name characters, know what it's about or care about it. I know of Doctor Who, but I don't have any interest in it, but if they did an awesome ride for it and had an understandable story line, of course I'd ride it. But I highly doubt Doctor Who would come to Australia in a theme park, if anything it would get an attraction in England or America.
  9. Just looking through the Mack website at the info on hyper coasters, and looking at the other diffferent coasters and there specifications; I know we kind of already had an idea it would be, but I'm sure it's safe to say that this will a hyper coaster and won't be just under the height requirements for it to classed as one. Of all the other coaster types that they do, nothing else is to this scale, except for the mega coaster Something else that I saw, which I hope MW do is they have an LED option for the trains on the front and side, so it provides a cool effect if the coaster is running at night.
  10. No worries @reanimated35, I re-read what I wrote and can see the confusion. Don't worry, I respect the staff and what they do, so never would even think to abuse them
  11. I wasn't complaining that they didn't let him wear his hat. I was saying what you've said and that rules and rules and couldn't believe the way he was acting
  12. @YLFATEEKS you can't really tell in the photos but when I was there and walking along the GL queue fence, it does seem that the transfer track is going to be towards those buildings at the back, behind that blue box. But I'm not 100% certain because it is a bit tricky to get some perspective on the footings from so far away
  13. Progress continues with the department store refurb and the GL logo is getting some attention too
  14. Yeah, they are around the front. This is the side of the toilet block inside the queue area for HSD
  15. Just took some photos of this part of the site, and looks like this diagram is bang on what it will look like
  16. Finally had a chance to ride it this morning and wow. I know people have said time and time again that it was dark, but if you really couldn't see a thing, and at times I forgot which way the ride would turn and I'd prepare myself to go the other way, and the drop for the axes I completely forgot about so that was a surprise. What i did like but having the ride like this was it gave a real perspective of its layout and how everything is placed. But will definitely be great to have it back to its former glory. One thing I do want to say is when waiting in the queue a guy got in the car and was asked to take his hat off, he didn't and then as the car moved forward and the girl had to stop the ride and she asked him again to refmoved his hat. He continued to refuse or step out the car, so they had to get security to come and speak to him. Bit rediculous that someone is that set on not removing his hat. But I get he may have some real reason for removing it, but seriously. It's dark in there, no one will see. Just take the hat off
  17. I'd say that it is for that as well as stopping large leaves, sticks, etc from falling onto the slide and causing distruptions to the sensors/magnets, and stopping it from collecting at the base of th drops/hills
  18. Why do you assume it is Aquaman? If it's because they are about to start filming the movie at the studios, I don't think that has any affect on the ride. The ride will have being planned for years now and the theme and name would've been approved by DC and the park a while ago too, and that would then affect the rides colouring and train. The film was only confirmed to be filmed on the coast last year, well after I imagine the decisions were made for the coaster. Im not ruling out Aquaman as a theme (despite I'm doubtful it would be that and I'm leaning towards Flash), but I don't think any film or tv productions would have an affect on a ride like this.
  19. You can even see the site when riding SE. When I went on it towards the end of last year, not long after those footings were installed, I thought the same as you @xRazzBerryx. Makes the most sense from seeing the footings
  20. There was some lightning, and then the two guys the rides based around excepting jail and stealing from the mine
  21. This was the best I could get without paying for it
  22. Well there is a dinosaur and crocodile in the log ride and there were elephants in rice rapids, so maybe they did reuse them
