  1. @YLFATEEKS New exhibit space with a pool, as well as a new experience space for the tiger photos.
  2. I wonder how many have been in through the store since that weekend. Last week it was busy the majority of the time, and just visited DW this morning and there were still quite a few in there.
  3. So yes @Twilight Zone, it has already been mentioned and has been like that for some time now
  4. Thanks for that. Does anyone have any old photos of all of this? I have seen the photo of the skull with people lined up outside, but that's it
  5. I wasn't meaning that event was only one night. I was just saying that MW should have done something like that to celebrate its 25th birthday, and they could've just done a one night event to celebrate.
  6. This is also very rough, but gives some sort of idea of where footings are, that aren't shown on the nearmap image from September. This is just based off photos I've taken, and doesn't show all the new footings since the image was taken. @AlexB the blue dot is roughly where that angled footing is
  7. These are some rough calculation, but based off the 61m height and an approximation of the footings, it would be around 80m between the base and top lift hill footing, which would mean the angle of the lift hill will be around 37 degrees. To put that in perspective GL is 33m heigh, 35 metres between the base and top lift hill footing, which is about 44 degrees. And AA is 33m heigh 60m between the base and top lift hill footing, which is about 29 degrees.
  8. It was announced this morning in an interview with Craig Davidsons, that stage 2 for Dreamworlds Corroboree would be completed this year. No details at this stage of what this includes, but I personally hope they upgrade Crocodile enclosures, remove the chairlift station, and maybe this could be the end of vintage cars, or they are improved upon to make them popular like they were back in the day.
  9. I do hope they are planning on keeping the RHLR, beacause despite not being the best log ride in the world, and it would be good if they did a refurb to it or changed the route of it (just something to improve the experience), I do think it's an important ride to have for the park, and many people do still enjoy it. For the rest of the area, I think they just need to remove the whole river rapids, eureka mountain, old water park and chairlift station and remaining posts, and start fresh for the area. I don't think they need to change the theme of the area, because it is a good one if done right, but a couple new rides would be really good. I'm still thinking a mild mouse coaster, or some sort of coaster with a good thrill leave, but nothing to extreme; and a flat ride (yes another one). A large scale coaster would be good, but don't see it happening yet. There is also the point that they will be installing a memorial, and does need to be somewhere that isn't overly noisy, which would be a challenge with BuzzSaw and TOT. But I think they need to install one this year, maybe in time for the anniversary of the incident.
  10. Someone commented on my page, saying that this would be the bottom of the lift hill, which to me makes sense, that should help give an understanding of how long and steep the lift hill will be, if we are basing it off the 61m tall
  11. Came across this, and it is a real shame MW never did a one off night event to celebrate 25 years. This would've been awesome.
  12. Fence update (There is only one more part that needs doing) All the red caps on the footings have been replaced, except from those that are outside the fence and that are angled And wow that grass has grown quick
  13. So take the conjuring Maze from last year, swap the characters for zombies and the girls in red for the guy. Easy.
  14. And maybe even the removal of the Skylink station
  15. One thought I've had is that because those sheds are permanent and they aren't at this stage being utilised for anything else, last year they had Wyrmwood and DTD, and with DTD returning they've probably left that Maze constructed, and the theming out the front does still remain. So that could mean a greater focus and time on the making of the two new mazes
  16. The signs saying that were on the construction fencing, which has now been removed because they have installed the new fencing. And because of the concrete columns, if they were to hang the signs again, they wouldn't be flat, and would be bent at points were there are the columns
  17. Flash Theme Supports - Dark Red Track - Red
  18. When I went past yesterday, the fence looked nearly completed with only a couple small parts still with construction fencing around them. So maybe because it is almost finished, then the area would be secure enough for the removal of the caps.
  19. Great find @Jamberoo Fan, especially for TOT. I never got to ride the original version of it, or never saw the ride before the queue system was changed. Never released how high the car used to go, that actually shocked me. Did the restraint system only change when the car was reversed? And was the skull moved, because I can't figure out how the entry worked because of the underpass now between TI and ABC Kids World. Was the queue system changed completely at some point, or just slightly modified?
  20. That is interesting, especially since you're saying that the caps aren't taken off until right before the installation. So maybe we will see parts arrive/begin installation this week. Would be amazed if the track was already at the park, since in the past they've stored track in the carpark (For GL and SE), but maybe due to how secretive they've been so far with this coaster, they've kept it out back, and it was all delivered at night or inside containers and no one noticed.
  21. They announced DD in Feb, and then marketed it with the passes in June/July. So I'm still thinking the exact same thing will happen with this coaster.
  22. I'd say we will get an announcement before then, surely. But i imagine they will heavily market the ride when it's time for the renewal of the passes
  23. Dates have been announced for this years Stormtroopers weekend. Great to see it return once again
