Not all rides/theme parks have released their maintence schedules for the year yet. But the first ones has been posted online this morning. The Road Runner is closed from Monday 30th January and will re-open Monday 13th March 2017 The Storm Coaster is closed from Monday the 6th of Feb with a scheduled reopening date of Sunday 20th March 2017.

I wouldn't have said Claws capacity is ordinary. I'd say it's just as good as DD. As they both get 32 people per ride.

DW have finally removed the Christmas decorations and begun installing the CNY decorations

Great update guys. Those signs at the turnstiles saying what rides are closed have been there for quite a while now, thinking probably even a couple of years. And WOW never noticed those footers in the footprint of GL, and that angled footer, don't think I've ever seen that before. And good to see they are getting the fence all completed, so they can remove those construction fences.

^I think that DD is well themed. The rides structure may just have the print on it, and the 'bones' sticking out of the arms. But the queue line area is well done, with the rides sign, Doomsday on top. Even the stair wells that lead to underneath the platform are themed to look like they lead to the underground train system.

Just watched the DW story on Channel 7 about the Lego Store, and they spent more time talking about the incident and ride stoppages than they did about the store. Like come on media, you just have to bloody take a good story and turn it back into what's happened.

I really do hope SW do something about the water park. It's already been closed a year, and we have seen nothing at all happen. They may as well of left it open and made money from it, rather doing nothing with it. And I hope they remove Vikings Revenge this year too, even if they aren't going to install a new attraction until 2019, at least remove it, and install seating, food outlets, etc, just so it isn't empty land. They've got a large sheltered space which was the station, so surely they could fill/cover the flume part, and have seating underneath it. Will hardly cost anything, and at least make use of the space for the time being.

You do make some good points in regards to what I said @joz, and do agree with them with the explanations you've made. It shows both the time and position, and yes it does do false starts. Sister jumped to early last week and she got zero, but still displayed time.

I've ridden all the rides, and for me there is a standout ride for its overall experience. Doomsday is a good ride, and has a good capacity, great theming (especially with the little details, and I'm not saying that because of the area it's in, the ride its self has also greatly themed. But feels to mechanical and doesn't have that free spinning motion I wish it had. Surfrider is also a good ride, but when it's open it's queues can be a bit too long for what it is (And I still always wish that it went to SW, even though it does fit well at WnW). The Claw I've only every ridden once and never will again because of how sick I felt after it. I do remember the Gs were good on it, and that close to the floor feeling as you swing is really good. But it just isn't for me this ride. Wipeout is definitely my favourite of them all. I only first ever rode the ride just over a year ago, and it definitely is one of my favourite rides on the coast. The feeling you get from it is quite unlike anything I've been on before, and with its refurbishment, it really brought life back to the ride. It still is a shame they don't have fluffy roaming around underneath, but as the ride gets older, it's understandable if they need to access the ride, which required the draining of the water. So for me personally, the order from best to least favourite is Wipeout, Doomsday, Surfrider, Claw

But in saying all that, we do have to give them some credit, despite them doing some bad things/decisions in the last 12 months. They gave Superman Escape a much needed repaint They brought back the Superman street character Introduced VR to AA which is awesome. Despite the closure of DD for 3 months, the area is themed awesomely. They did upgrade/replace mechanics of WWF The plaza did some what fix part of the movement through SW New food outlets at MW And even that it wasn't urgently needed they did upgrade the Aqua Racer So yes there were some bad decisions, but they did make some good ones also. But with what we know about happening this year, hopefully it will be one of the parks better years.

^100% agree with you on that one @joz. And I'd say that if it wasn't for the incident at DW, with all its rides operating it could have been DWs best year yet. Especially with the returned Tiger Island and the originally planned opening date for LEGO, even without any new ideas. MW was the only one who could've taken advance of having a new ride, but having it closed (which may not have been their fault) didn't help. And then also with the issue with AA towards the end of the peak season.

In previous years all the parks have released the years maitence schedule within the first week of the year, but this year nothing has come up yet. But I imagine Scooby would reclose early to mid February and remain closed for a couple of months, hopefully reopening for the easter school holidays

Wow very impressed by this. And with 336 spaces, definitely allows to draw the big crowds. As @ash.1111 said, interesting that they are building around the existing tank, but considering it's still in use, and rather than moving it, it does make sense to design the Top Golf around it. With 7 months until opening, definitely going to come together quickly. Can't wait. And with the coaster right next door, this could be the most watched area of land in quite some time.

Construction fencing down, and DD is back open

@Slick what time does the GL light turn off? I've gone past at midnight and it's been on.

^Both have been in testing and had work done on them, but that's all we know.

I think it would look absolutely horrible if any of our parks had multi storey car parks, and the large area the car parks, only a small portion of it would be possible to make into one.

They are currently filming an add at DW feature a hot air ballon basket, creating something that looks like this.

They were flashing pretty quick, and there were quite a few of the colours that alternate and miss match. It does look impressive from the highway or as you drive up to the park. But after watching it for a while it does begin to look a bit tacky. It isn't bad, but as @rac2703 said, just a couple of colours probably would be better.
