^I agree with those rides. For it to be a classic, I see it as a ride that is one that you want to keep going one. A ride that provides a unique experience. A ride that has good themeing and provides a great atmosphere.

The carts did hold 4 people and looking at that picture it appears to me that there is one dummie in the front and one in the back.

It would be good to see the current ice-cream store to be replaced with a new one, that fits the style of the new shops. $6 million will be part of the continuous makeovers throughout the park, 2 new attractions, new food stores, tiger island upgrade and a few other minor things

When I think about it, I can't imagine that ardent leisure would just write about major attractions on that file, before DW had announced anything on FB or their website, because that's where we hear the latest news first. In my opinion, I'm going to say that the V8 Supercar attraction will be an upgrade to the current Redline.

Wasn't that a test they did before the ride opened. I remember seeing on the news that water test dummies were put in the ride and the ride was stopped at that point so they could practise the process they would do if the ride did get stuck at that position.

With the ride being open for almost 13 years, it would be nice if they changed the video playing. As The Claw said, classic episodes of Scooby-Doo would be better.

I'm looking forward to this Tiger Island refurbishment. I've alwayd thought that the area needed some sort of seating system, as at times it can be difficult to see the show. I dont know what date Tiger Island opened, but maybe DW are planning to have the area reopen for the 20th birthday. DW are advertising the 2 new attractions as BIG attractions. So maybe a roller coaster based around V8 Supercars could be installed.

DW have updated the maintenance page and BuzzSaw is closed until 19th March.

Depending on what it is, it could be built near MDMC. I know a few times the idea of building a Motorsport attraction near MDMC would be good, as it allows for a new area to be made. But in saying all of that, it could just be an upgrade to Redline (hopefully it's something a bit bigger than that).

^No. He is regularly at the park. The celebrations sounds good. Similar (if not the same) to last years, which were good. Its a shame they don't open the park at night, and have lanterns throughout parts of the park and have fire dancers, etc. They could do a Screamworld: Chinese New Year.

Nice photos. Has anyone ever found or have a on ride video of eureka. I've searched for it a few times as I never got to ride it.

The theme park place posted this photo on their park update of a mine cart on the maintenance run. They state that others were seen being loaded onto the main line.

^They just said that the old sea viper location is getting some attention.

The island is quite a large area of land so I good attraction could be built on. Maybe DW have plans for it, but something should be done with it.

^I agree. That land should be done with that land and I think that a tree house/fortress (Something similar to the one at Sea World) would be perfect. A place surrounded by the lake where you could have a picnic and let your kids run free on it.

Someone asked DW on their FB about taking GoPros on rides and it turns out that you are allowed to, but there are limitations.

I was one of those who never got the chance to ride it. I've been told about the basics of the ride and what happened, but what made it such an awesome ride. Was it because of the themeing and experience you had when riding, being able to be in a mine cart and zooming around a mine, with TNT about to go off, etc?

When I first read it, I was thinking BIG could refer to a new thrill ride, since they are the Big9 Thrill Rides. Where did read about Tiger Islane getting a refurb, because they only said they have special celebrations for the 20th anniversary? Still early days, Movie World may have something planned.

^I agree. I'm not expecting the Mine ride to open (if it is going to) this year. Maybe next year. Regarding the Tiger Island Anniversary, I wonder if that relates to the rumours from late last year/earlier this year about it getting an upgrade/makeover. It would be good if there was a new attraction for DW and one for WWW.

DW have just posted on their FB page that this year there will be special celebrations for Tiger Island’s 20th Anniversary, PLUS 2 NEW BIG attractions this year.

^What you say about DW doing this to get people talking could be true. It could be their way of giving us a teaser. I would say that they couldn't open the ride in its current state. They would have to put a new track in, update the control system and fix up the cave.
