  1. You can't take assets of directors of a company because they are not personally liable for any outstanding money the company may owe. The company just winds up, secured creditors get the first bite of the cherry if they actually have any assets that can be recovered and everyone else usually gets stiffed.
  2. Needs fire. Two big ones. Belching fire out the top. Especially at night.
  3. If it causes down time, its a break down. If it doesn't cause down time, it's maintenance. If something is found one day and prevents the ride from opening and forces a change to the schedule, it might be unscheduled, but it is still maintenance. You can't plan everything.
  4. Yeah, everyone aims to get to dreamworld or movieworld before 8 oclock right? I mean, it's not like anyone would be aiming for a 9-10am arrival when the roads are terrible..... If you even try to go to movieworld during a busy day, the north bound exit banks up on the highway as far as the previous helensvale turn off to westfield. The traffic is that bad sometimes. Same thing happens at dreamworld, its banked up back towards the overpass with both service roads just as bad because the overpass at oxenford is just about the worst intersection on the north side of the coast.
  5. Its nowhere near 25 mins surfers to coomera anymore. The traffic is horrendous around work or school times. Sometimes it can take you 25 mins just to get from the highway to dreamworld now as the whole place is a mess.
  6. If you read the fine print on them, some of the flavours contain stevia, so some will have lower calories (and sugar content) while others have 20-25g per bottle. Whas interesting for the real health nut is they contain high fructose corn syrup, linked to all sorts of health problems in the US, vs coca cola which uses cane sugar in australia.
  7. You probably don't need to replace all the track. Even if it hasn't been used for awhile, if its not obviously being drowned in water, once you get a coating of rust on the surface of metal it slows down the process. Might be able to get away with having it all inspected and reusing the same track.
  8. General consensus is fruit drinks pack in 3 or 4 servings of fruit (and all the sugar they contain) with a lot of the benefits like the fibre removed. Not only are they full of sugar but they are highly acidic and are worse for teeth decay than soft drink. If you want juice, better off just eating the fruit. Youll stop at one or two pieces when you feel full.
  9. Nothing besides water is really any good for you. Juice is full of sugar, more so than a lot of soft drinks. Plain milk has more calories than coke due to the sugars and fats contained within, but when you amp it up to flavoured milk, just about the only thing that is worse is some iced teas. So where do you go from there?
  10. Not to mention machinery tearing it up. You would expect it to look like the other side with tables and chairs. Certainly solves the lack of shaded areas to eat lunch in.
  11. If i was a pilot i think i might be tempted to try and fly through it.
  12. all this talk of lights has me wondering if they will need a blinking red one for the top of the lift hill.
  13. Yeah, that's my point. Because it is enclosed with hand rails, it's classed safe as a stair way, but because there is a risk of falling on the track side of the stairs on something like green lantern, anyone using them would need to be fitted with a harness. Has anyone seen what happens during an evacuation from the lift hill on green lantern? do they fit guests with something or do they just walk each one down, one at a time, with the staff member guiding them down the stairs? If they wanted to do track walks with DC rivals, they could probably use railings like arkham asylum, but it might mean it's harder to evacuate people off. I also wonder if the height brings with it added safety problems with things like wind. Quite a bit of difference between 30m and being 60m in the air. Especially being stuck out the front with pretty much nothing to provide cover.
  14. I dont think so. In that clip they shared of daily routine at movieworld, the person in the film clip had a harness on. It looks pretty steep from the exit ramp too. Be a long way to fall.
  15. Arkham Asylum has railings on both sides and the incline isn't as steep as something like green lantern. So it's more accessible for people without safety equipment, so we don't need to wear harnesses or something when doing the tour. It's more like just walking up a set of stairs.
  16. Is the work you are talking about where the put footings at the front ? Id expect the bridge to lead to somewhere like between green lantern entry and justice league. They might still need an access road down the side, so maybe something is planned to be able to cross it?
  17. It would be cool if hints were to be drip fed by video until its completely revealed and you can see the whole advertisement in full. If its named after a villain, should build it up as a whole campaign and leave subtle hints whats coming all around different parts of the park. Make people seek them out.
  18. dont those new roads drive right through the middle of the new stadium they built for the commonwealth games? or is there an existing road there?
  19. They started investing in media in china didn't they? Change of focus perhaps?
  20. Its over 60m. S&S advertise their space shot as a minimum 61m (up to 65m), so batwing might still have the height crown.
  21. It's all about perspective. Move 5m to the left and the shape is different.
  22. Someone make a home made clinometer and go take some rough measurements. Can work out an approximate height pretty easy.
  23. It's amazing what massive budgets can buy/afford you. I was watching footage of some of the rides in shanghai disney; wow, next level theme work on pirates of the caribbean.
