MW Fast Track price dropped to $99
You know what, at $99 I would genuinely consider purchasing one each during peak periods, if the wife and I had a day at Movie World without the kids. Particularly for DC Rivals and Scooby Doo. The question is, can you use it during White Christmas? That is buy it during the day and use it at night, or would there be a second purchase needed?

Thunder River Rapids Incident Coronial Inquest
I'm a property manager (residential rentals). These days it's 90% administration rather than being out on the road. I don't know how to fix a toilet, or replace a light fitting, or service an air conditioner. But I have a moderate understanding of how these things work and enough knowledge to quiz my tenants on the symptoms, to help the tradesperson determine the issue. My point is I am earning below the national average wage, but I have some understanding of what I am dealing with. If he had no understanding, and would be earning much more than I do, how did he even get hired to start with?

Superman Escape gift shop removed
As the station is unnamed, simply give it a name and update the TV monitors so that it is perhaps the end of one of the lines shown in the queue. Isn't the 'earthquake' meant to be have been caused by Lex Luthor, so would only be localised anyway? But all of that costs money and provides no return on investment to the average guest. I'd prefer them spend the money on the doors and (better) air cooling systems to be honest.

Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster refurb
Something appears to have changed inside, as there was double doors in facade of the SDSC wall. In your earlier photo of the same area, there is now a single door. There also appears to be works in the old alley section from this photo (possibly more back of house storage?)

Superman Escape gift shop removed
Kinda looks like a missed chance to do something with combining the photo screens & ticket window somehow. Some additional lockers could also have gone in towards the external door.

Projection mapping. What's next?
With careful set design, you could have the story change every few months by modifying the projections. Or as suggested, have two track options with different stories (removing the points scored determines course features to spread wear and tear).

Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster refurb
Judging by the way the camera drops through the track (and the steel looks a little undersized for roller coaster track), I'd say that ad is an "artists impression".

Cool, clears that up 👍

Is it because you've scanned in, or walked passed a Bluetooth beacon that's detected your phone ? Had a rep trying to sell me one of those beacons. "it's great, 95% of the people who walk passed will get your message. You should have one now". I'm one of the 5% who have that function blocked 😁

Australian Outback Spectacular & Ringers Western partnership
AlexB raised the point about a named cast being unusual for the show, and discussion turned towards understudies. I hope to go on a Mark Mitchell night - good to see him doing "coupla days" 😂

The cloudy sky and the angle, exaggerate the blue wall, in my opinion. I don't think you can stand that far back square on to the entry, which narrows the field of view to the Castle section. Justice League looks to be similar on the left, with a tree in the way though. Superman has nothing, DC Rivals is pretty sparse. Ultimately once your close to the entrance, the last thing you are thinking about is that blue wall.

I got it, if it's any consolation. 😁 As AlexB said, 1x 7yr old (who talks too much and too loudly) and 1x 15 month old (who can't sit still).

Wasn't taking the kids! 😁

You don't normally remove a tree for the fun of it, especially one that big. A fair bit of money to do that, it was probably dying or causing structural damage.

Looks like a return visit is due for us. Last time we went was BC (before children) so at least 8 years.
- Sea World lighthouse - Star Flyer replacement

Sky Voyager Discussion
Still a step better than Movie World who where in denial that DC Rivals even existed until very close to opening day.

White Christmas 2018
The thing with the kids market sector is, you can keep reusing the same stuff, as those will grow up and move on, other kids will come along in their place. The wiggles haven't changed their product that much over the years aside from keeping up with technology. It's still annoying catching songs and bright colours.

New Dreamworld CEO - John Osborne
Where would you divide the park to retain a carnival pier setup, and sell the rest of the land? I'm thinking behind the cinema, pandamonium, the kids coaster and keep tiger island. Shopping/dining where hot wheels is and over some of the car park, keep the water park. Sell the rest. That would keep the family parts, and leave non flood plain for sale. Purely a guess that's what might happen.

By closing it they'll probably push the "fast photo" pass up sell. Reduced staffing cost, slightly reduced on show stock holding (and theft).

JR has been like that for a while, I thought? Last time I was there was May. Works OK for DC Rivals.

No reopening dates for BuzzSaw, Hot Wheels Side Winder and Tower of terror
Saving money, limited customers (who'd go to a park at is actually at an inquest whilst you are there) and limited staff are my bets.

Should VRTP sell Sea World?
Australia Zoo survives without Thrill rides. Why compete against your own product (Movie World) when there is a sector of the market that no direct competition? Currumbin Sanctuary (not marine) and Paradise Country (again not marine) are the only things close competition in the "cute and cuddly animals" tourist market on the Gold Coast.

Don't miss Big Thunder Mountain! That's my main recommendation.
