Here's the screengrab from Ardent's ASX release.

Another CEO with no theme park industry experience, instead John Osborne's specific expertise is apparently divestment. Thoughts?

I thought the same thing when I read it on the ASX site.

How hard is it to find someone who has even a tiny bit of theme park background? Far out.

“A key reason for my decision to join the team is the Ardent Board’s very strong focus on the welfare and safety of guests and employees and my priority is to work closely with the team to continue this work,” he said.

Bollocks..

Where would you divide the park to retain a carnival pier setup, and sell the rest of the land?

I'm thinking behind the cinema, pandamonium, the kids coaster and keep tiger island. Shopping/dining where hot wheels is and over some of the car park, keep the water park. Sell the rest.

That would keep the family parts, and leave non flood plain for sale.

Purely a guess that's what might happen.
