Dammit, I should have gone, had a quiet one.

Didn't stop me from shitting myself on it.

What rides have you gotten stuck on, or have seen broken down?
westical replied to Jacko's topic in Theme Park Discussion
That's when you're meant to get up and exit. Don't recall getting stuck on any rides, closest was probably when I had to get out of my seat on Space Mountain (DL) in the area they do the disabled switch while everyone else stayed on. Guessing there was a fault with the harness. I appreciated the little steps they provided for me to get out. -
Arkham Asylum: Shock Therapy (Lethal Weapon Retheme)
westical replied to ads086's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Depending on where you are in the park it's one of the two main entry ways to the ride, and the exit "funnels" you in that direction. If the re-theme is true though then I don't see much point keeping it. What's behind the facades anyway, anything? HP theming would be too expensive, I'm surprised the shop is still there. But I guess there's no Universal Studios close by. -

Chinatown is still there. The shop near the exit that had the ride photos is long gone though. -

I'm guessing the five weeks of maintenance scheduled for March is abnormally long? -
Yay more cryptic stuff.

Except Movie World.

This was from Sunday, operator's booth was still being built.

I know it was just a bad blur but it added to the idea that Superman had arrived to push us clear. And for the same reason you can't get rid of him from the back.

Mine - [*]Green Lantern looks like it needs another week yet, and this weather isn't helping. [*]Superman Escape is twice as good at night, and while I understand why they don't always do it, having both trains running sure helped queue times. The lights on the police car weren't on though. And still no Superman projection that I could see. [*]Lethal Weapon was a walk on (as per usual). Some people were riding multiple times in a row, with the current head bashing train once is enough for me... [*]I don't remember fog at the last drop in Scooby. They really need to update the queue video though, AOL? [*]The lights looked fantastic, especially when they sync with music. Should have used the "snow" more though. [*]Yes the parade was small, but the new floats (well, new to me) looked great. Guess it's hard to justify too many floats when it's just for one week a year. [*]Ice skating looked dodgy for the above reasons but was popular. [*]Characters in the Looney Tunes show were Bugs, Daffy, Elmer, Tweety, Pepe Le Pew, Sylvester, Granny and Tas Devil. Why aren't some of these in the park more often... And best place to sit is, umm, the middle? [*]Not everyone was wearing wristbands, hopefully they were just too cool to wear them rather than freeloading. [*]Three hours is not long enough.

I haven't seen the Superman projection on the ceiling just before launch for awhile. Unless I was imagining seeing it before...

Thanks for the reminder, for some reason I thought I was going next Sunday not tomorrow.

Jaws at Universal Orlando closing
westical replied to JD_bunnies_supporter's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Has now been announced, Harry Potter in Orlando is being expanded and it's coming to Hollywood. -
Suddenly the VIP Gold Pass seems less worthwhile.

Physical force? Did they hit you with their glow in the dark batons?
-
You forgot the Spanish translation.

There was about six staff working on Lethal Weapon a few weeks ago, either MW were being really conscious about safety or they were training.
-
First I've heard of a DL lock-in.

Who needs a lap bar on Splash Mountain anyway, not DL!

As Cruiseshipfan mentioned, the seat belts aren't by themselves. Funny moment on Boomerang (IIRC) when the ride attendant asked the guys in the front row just as we were about to launch if they had done their seat belts up. Shat themselves until they realised it had none.
-
I'm not sure how effective the flimsy seat belts at Knotts would be either.
-
To be fair, it has a themed queue and a massive lantern out the front. The ride's pretty good too, apart from the restraint clamping down on my thighs in the last invert.

Bit of an exaggeration, there are no seals or polar bears at the Aquarium.
