  1. If it's like Buzz Lightyear I guess trackless could enhance the ride, but if it's like Midway Mania! there's probably not much benefit as all you do is move between screens. Edit - unless it's trackless, then I'll shutup
  2. Just had a look at the VIP benefits page and they no longer have separate offers for Gold members. The early Saturday ride offer is still available though. I'm starting to wonder whether the VIP Gold renewal actually includes the same benefits next year round given the renewal price was the same as the vanilla VIP passes...
  3. Someone explain the benefits of trackless on this type of ride for me please.
  4. Doing a theme park tour and skipping anything Disney is like checking out the natural wonders of the world and avoiding the Great Barrier Reef.
  5. Good to see POP looking out for all those dialup users.
  6. Disneyland has the benefit of a thousand hotels located on its boundary. Everyone has to drive or get public transport to Movie World, and I'm not sure how late the buses run.
  7. It looked like one of the speakers was physically broken last time I rode too.
  8. It hasn't been pissing down rain for six months.
  9. I don't have high hopes for Arkham's.
  10. The Australian franchisor has a wordpress site. Very professional.
  11. Got a call today offering the cheap VIP Gold renewal. Introduced as being from Movie World which I thought was odd but I guess not many would recognise myFun.
  12. I probably wouldn't be hoping for loops to be installed between screens.
  13. Buzz Lightyear is good in that you can move the vehicle around as it makes its way through the sets and there's actual props to aim and shoot at. Sometimes it can be frustrating when you feel you're aiming direct at a target but it's not registering. Midway Mania just moves from screen to screen but the interactivity is obviously greater. It takes a little while to get used to aiming but doesn't take long to get the hang of it. Both have tremendous re-rideability as mentioned before so JL should be very popular. Problem with Batman Adventure was there wasn't much incentive to ride again (something Star Tours 2 has fixed).
  14. It's definitely great to see, I'll be a bit happier when they also do something with LTRR.
  15. Everyone taking advantage of the new 7 day VIP Pass for $79.
  16. Isn't the novelty that it's "4D"? Cheap moving seats and theatre effects are still awhile away from reaching lounge rooms.
