  1. I'm pretty sure I wet my pants when you said skip Fast & Furious - I've seen clips on YouTube and it looks SO BAD! We can't do dining reservations until March, and FastPass until July (I've got them in my calendar so I don't forget!) Did you ride the orange side of Mission Space? Is too crazy? Also good tip on the queue rides - I had seem some videos on seven dwarves queue, as well as seeing Hondo on Smugglers Run (you miss him if in single rider)! On a side note - what did you roughly spend on food per day? It's the only thing we find we are struggling to budget (and tips!). We aren't interested in dining plan as it seems like a huge waste of money - but as I've never been to America I'm not sure how much we should be budgeting for tips, and what the average food prices are for Disney. Do you have any suggestions? Where did you stay on property? Lastly - did you do any pin trading?
  2. Thank you! I am starting to get my head around FastPass - obviously, we can't book anything just yet, but we have started planning each day (in theory) as well as restaurants we would love to try. I am just dying to try the Haunted Mansion!
  3. Hi! My fiancee and I are currently planning our trip to Walt Disney World in Florida for our Honeymoon in September 2020. We have booked most of our accommodation, plus tickets and flights. I am wanting to hear suggestions/tips/strategies - basically, anything you like about how to navigate the parks and our time there. We are starting with 3 nights at universal, then 4 nights at Port Orleans Riverside, 8 nights at B Resort, and then 2 nights in a moderate or deluxe resort (the only bit we haven't booked). We found an awesome deal on a 14-day park-hopper, so we have the ability to jump between parks. Both of us have never been to the U.S, so any help is greatly appreciated
  4. I went here as a kid - it has changed so much, but still awesome to see it operating successfully!
  5. Reading these last two testimonies, it is very sad to hear what they experienced
  6. Don't disagree with you. Don't plan on being in this job for much longer, so not of huge concern to me. Our company owns the building (6 floors) and there are only 8 staff in our office anyway.
  7. I totally agree. I am the backup first aider in my office and am also the floor fire warden. The chief fire warden is the main first aid person. My duty (in an emergency when we need to evacuate) is firstly getting everyone on my floor out to safety, and then attending to them medically. Totally agree that the ride operator here did the right thing by making sure the ride, and other people nearby were safe, rather than jumping into the water to try and save the victims.
  8. I like that the blurred out the Joker's face at the entrance to Arkham Asylum!
  9. Question - I apologise if this is insensitive in anyway. Why do you think there is still black plastic in the area on the lift-hill where the accident occured? Out of respect for the families? Part of investigation? Something relating to the structure? Just curious as it looks out of place. Thank you
  10. Can anyone please provide some updated nearmap images of both Dreamworld (showing the removal of Eureka Mountain, etc) and Movie World (showing the addition of hypercoaster)? Thank you
  11. "...Mine Ride is in the process somewhere.."? They have already announced they are doing something with it. Just a longer, generic answer I'm afraid. But your question to them is hilarious
  12. I'm incredibly glad they didn't build this - it's so cringy. If Disney built a park in Australia, I hope it had much of the same attractions they can be found in the US, as well as maybe 1-3 "Australian" attractions - like Disneyland has Great Moments with Mr Lincoln, and previously America Sings. I am proud I'm Australian, but all these attractions just sound super cheesy (but it was 1998!)
  13. Thought I'd ask Dreamworld - but you were right @Glubbo and @Slick, it was just the generic answer
  14. Facinating, thank you! I'm a BIG fan of the Titanic (not the movie, lol) - have been all my life. I knew they had both used CQD and SOS but did'n't know the backstory as to why SOS was introduced, so thank you
  15. I hope someone chooses to buy it and keep it running as it is. I have fond memories of this Park as a child. A great little spot that provides entertainment for the whole family when visiting Merimbula! 😊
  16. I know that having it in a shed/studio means they could theme really well inside (similar to Scooby or River Ride), I still think getting rid of the mountain in its entirety detracts from the point of "bringing back Eureka" as that's the focal point of the attraction - its the bit everyone sees, regardless of whether they choose to ride it or not. I think removing the mountain themei will give them the reverse effect they are hoping reopening Eureka will give
  17. I check Parkz everyday to one day see that they have started work on re-opening Eureka. Fingers crossed that they choose to keep it rather than demolish it with TRRR. Although it does sit on a large, prime piece of land along with TRRR - keeping it would allow them to expand it and make it into a truly memorable, family dark ride which I feel is something Dreamworld is sorely lacking.
  18. Not sure if this has been shared, but found a video on YouTube of a Seaworld promotional video that you could purchase at the park, in 1990. Before I was even born! Shows Corkscrew, pirate ship, Lassiter's etc. It even has your donkey, @Theme Park Girl
  19. Yep, definitely did. I never rode Lassiter's, but Bermuda was always a favourite. Just looks different without the Bermuda theming!
  20. I'm guessing that's Lassiter's Mine Ride next to the Vikings Revenge in the SeaWorld photo? I've never seen a picture of it before!
  21. You said exactly what I was thinking but too afraid to ask. Again, meant with no disrespect.
  22. Are there any remnants of Creature Cruise/walk? If they all these "fabulous" handmade animals, surely they would re-used them in other areas of the park? Or was it all scrapped completely? Thank's for clearing up the "random water" section - I remember the remote controlled boats being opposite the emporium when it was Nickelodeon. Have they since gone?
