This was a comment photo on Adventures of theme park girls FB park from Greg’s computer, looks like it says announcement 2026? If this is an indication of when they announce what they are doing, wouldn’t that then suggest a retheme for 2026 would be out of the question, considering works would need to start happening soon for a reopen date for 2026

Agreed, announcing a closure, but the. Retheming it would be the first bad move Dreamworld has done as of late. They are ticking boxes left right and centre at the moment with Rivertown and King Claw. Retheming a very average ride would make no sense.

Great to hear. As I’ve said before on this forum, we have both passes and Dreamworld is our favourite by far. From staff, park cleanliness and the open areas, it’s definitely in our opinion the best park. Excited too see what’s in store for the Motorcoaster replacement

Seeing as they just used Intamin for King Claw, one would imagine they struck a deal to order another ride with Intamin? Also agree in regards to the show building hindering the view of the river too.

Nothing in that email Ash to say it is being removed ahh yeah they definitely said it’s being closed permanently. I still believe the paddle steamer will come back, the Easter eggs in Jungle Rush and King Claw are a good indication it could be back, the way the Rivertown Store is (basic as hell) is imo because they knew the plans. I think this whole area will be themed to Rivertown.

Correct he did say that and I’m pretty Mack or One of the major ones have a new water/rocker coaster now. I don’t think we will get that but here’s hoping

Hoping a dark water ride. Really reflects on what they were/are trying to achieve with Rivertown. The theming they have been doing of late is amazing, the attendance over the holidays has been massive also. With Greg at the seat this could be amazing

Dreamworld once again cooking with there developments. This is a great decision to remove this ride and I’m excited to see what they have planned

We went Wednesday and yesterday with the family, Premium pass holders que to the left near the exit at the gates and are let in 5-10mins earlier. A few other groups and us said this is the first time it’s ever happened, now we know why.

Yeah I don’t agree with budget side of things. They have had near 3 years to make this attraction the number 1 family coaster again. Lights and a smoke machine like the original had isn’t going to blow the budget.

Seen quite a few disappointed comments on socials. The laser room in completely dark, the drops are still very jolting despite a full retrack? If what the Magician saying is correct regarding the laser room now confirmed to be dark, then that’s very disappointing, the lasers, smoke effects and soundtrack was the best part of this ride. Seems the locker/storage idea seems to be somewhat a failure too.

With the recent glues on MovieWorlds socials and all pointing to December 8, could today be a soft opening or more just an opening announcement?

Seeing Greg serve drinks and food when Rivertown opened last year was refreshing too see, he and the team have definitely turned this park around and now with the theming on “just a flat ride” is second to none once again.

What a great upgrade from the original Claw ride. The restraints are 100 times better with the air time feel being great to experience. The speed is on another level. Theming once again Dreamworld knocked it out of the park. As I’ve said previously, I’m excited for when they do a dark ride/water ride with the theming they can pull off.

Was thinking the same, maybe a lighting package? But yeah looks the same. I’m very optimistic about the reveal too be honest

Apparently there is and also a “wave lighting package” is or has been added for a wave like look at night time

Now imagine what they can do on a dark/water ride in the future. They are definitely doing an amazing job as of late with the theming

New signage has been installed on the Highway Dreamworld sign. Looks really good
