The processes involved in getting new rides commissioned have become far more complicated since the DW incident and it appears that the rules keep evolving and there's not a clear process anymore. Certainly makes parks rethink future investment.

There is certainly a gap between a couple of the larger parks and the remainder of much smaller, privately run operations around Australia. You'd be surprised how few genuine 'experts' there are running the smaller parks...

I've heard this ride is fully functioning and staff have been on it for training/testing. Seems it's not far away from opening.

I think the idea is right, with CX being a long forgotten component. Two key challenges - economic restraints and senior management. The ideal scenario is having someone at the top that has guest experience as their primary objective. Unfortunately it's a rare thing, with most being run by the accountants or tight-arse private owners with other objectives.

I've been watching the refurbishments at Luna for the past few years. I love the level of detail they're going to with their work. Very well considered and are developing their own unique style and keeping it all spot on brand. In a time where many parks are losing focus on their identity and franticly following brief trends and creating patchwork themes, Luna is probably the shining light from what i've seen.

I think the website has been like this for a year or two. Saw this version of the advert for the first time over summer from memory. Seems to be a lot of good things happening up that way.
