So my son & I had our first 'proper' theme park trip post DW accident today (partner was a bit iffy with my son going on rides after what happened - so we'd done 2 PC trips). Couple of observations from the day.. *amentities are much improved across the park *wasnt as busy as I expected given schoolies is on *the parade has changed the music around - and it sucks. No music on the entry lap, basically just 'elevator music', then on the way back one song, and then a return to the same elevator music. It's been 6 weeks since the last visit, but no idea why this was changed, it really kills the atmosphere *JL effects were all working for the first time I can remember in a year, including the Starro projection on the mist curtain. The door even opened at the correct timing with the Green Lantern projection, BUT, we got half way through the doorway when it appeared we e-stopped. Just sat there for a good 2 mins, with the door continually trying to close every 10 seconds and hitting the side of the car... eventually we moved through, guns no longer working and no screens functional except the final one. * didn't check the maintenance page, but it seemed strange to have basically all the moderate thrill rides down at the same time (SDSC, Batwing & Doomsday)

Maybe people were downvoting the fact that nothing was happening, as opposed to you telling them? like when Facebook used to only have the thumbs up like button, and you posted "my granny just died, so sad" and it appeared as though you'd have about 120 people liking that your granny is dead...

I've already worked that out! Haha Just quote the complaintants address (it's on their letter). They seem like old fuddy duddys, I doubt they'd be FN enthusiasts. Haha

Those resident letters attached to the link you posted @AlexB were super informative! i now know I can see a free fireworks display tonight at 7pm if I go to the MW car park, and more impressively, if I call the booking line and quote "FN residents offer" I get a free double pass to fright nights! BooYah!

I think we all got the idea.. "Lego replica of Dreamworld" isn't a particularly ambiguous statement. Also, LPS is about the same size as Corroboree at DW. You'd need a hell of a lot of Lego, and space, to build the entire park

Just google the headline and click the link. it overrides the paywall on any article. it is concerning to hear that there is major maintenance concerns on another ride, especially on Buzzsaw given it wasn't that long ago they added the extra redundancy seat belts

I think a Lego version of the DW globe would be cool, and not take up anywhere near as much room... and could be hung potentially within the shop

I'd say the coaster will be well into vertical construction come the press tour in April/May.. goodluck to them if they're still trying to keep it a secret 6 months from now..

It's bricks and it will be an iconic destination store that will draw people to the park (or at least to the entry), which can never be seen as a bad thing...

Yeah I get that, what I meant was ANZ don't show a surcharge to the individual for using paywave, but the merchant may (like in the case of MW) charge you a surcharge as part of the total purchase cost, so Tornado pulling his bank statement out won't show the surcharge

Dude... it's not ANZ that charges you, it's a surcharge that the store/premises charges you.

Because it's not paradise country? there is no aboriginal area/shows in PC. There is no Asian cultural area at PC. when I likened it to PC it was in terms of its market appeal

That was me and my son at PC a couple weeks back. just meant I got to hear the bad gags before everyone else in the crowd, gags which likely didn't translate to anything funny anyway...

Loved the triple m article about this with photos of roller coasters... Zero clue. Sounds like it will be an AOS/PC/Corroboree in one destination with an added Chinese cultural element. If it brings more tourists to the coast that in turn bring supplemental visitation and $$$ to our theme parks then it can't be a bad thing..

I'll stick that on my fridge too...
