  1. Haha.. $33m might get you the land, clearing/site prep and maybe some council approval/infrastructure fees. Welcome to Wonderland, please bring a seat and a packed lunch as you enjoy watching the grass grow. I think the $1b is a furfy..
  2. http://frightnights.com.au/visitor-info/park-map.aspx
  3. ?? A coaster coming out of a terminators ear... Right... Sounds like you really had a good look around...
  4. Trips to the US are getting less likely with our dollar continuing to slide lower and lower.
  5. I don't believe that is true Yoshi. The failure of their console didn't being apart their theme park arm, it was a lack of repeat business, high prices, lack of tourism dollars, and poor marketing.
  6. Dreamworld don't do halloween themed evenings though, so the whole train point is irrelevant unless you want MW to install a train purely for zombies to chase 10 times a year
  7. sorry, panic room.
  8. x4 rooms is $3200. Even if they had 4 scare actors per maze, 16 in total, at $30p/hr (unlikely to be that high) that's $800 profit each night, 10 nights that's $8000. I doubt the infrastructure used to build the panic rooms would come to that.
  9. it's clear he is talking about SW in the USA do you really think our SW here rakes in $300m??
  10. 2 weeks ago all of the scenes were working in full without any issues.
  11. $20 a head for a group of 4 is value imo. It's not like its something you can do each day of the week. I see you book in advance, will be interesting to see if you can get availability on the night at all.
  12. foolish, I think you've misinterpreted Zanstaba's post. i don't think he has any intention of being critical of your opinion, nor is he trying to enter a debate. I read his comments as someone who is genuinely interested in your experiences. You have to expect that when you post in an open forum that others will query/question your posts, and as long as that is done politely (as is the case here) you should really be open to it. If you didn't want responses or questions you may as well write in a journal.
  13. Or it's being used as a storage area as has always been the case, and a few things have been moved around
  14. And the off cuts/old wood from the original door is the rubbish piled up that someone posted earlier today. I don't think its a sign Eureka is re-opening, just part of their cosmetic improvements around the park
  15. Well there was always going to be a zombie precinct given they are the most common fright nights characters. Zombieland was probably an IP they had available and figured they could add in a recognisable name. I'm thinking there won't really be any movie ties in the precinct (the car over the fountain isn't really zombieland-esque, however a major scene is in a theme park.)
  16. was only there for 48 hrs during filming of the commercial and then removed. Will no doubt be put back probably the night prior to opening. no other noticeable changes in the park on wednesday when I visited. No movement or noise from inside the show stage either
  17. As I said a page or so back, 2 weeks ago it didn't look anywhere near 2 weeks from completion. I always assumed it was the Xmas holidays they were aiming for
  18. my last comment on this topic because I'm done with the ridiculousness of it all. my 'high & mighty' and 'go through life comments' were not to you, and were said after you had posted I was hostile. Sarcasm is not rude, it's not offensive, It's just sarcasm. As far as I'm concerned you asked a ridiculous question, so I met it with an equally ridiculous answer. I also dont don't put down others comments unless they are ridiculous in nature with no grounding. anyway, let's get back on topic, which is what I was trying to do before Push got involved
  19. But that isn't taking into account our terrible Aussie dollar, freight costs and land clearance etc. you'd be looking at close to double that in the end
  20. Isn't tomorrow the planned opening day? (Start of school holidays)
  21. I take issue with you calling me pathetic, because my comments were not hostile or sarcastic. I didn't reply to FM999 to avoid a silly forum battle, but then you show up with your high & mighty rubbish. How do you get through life? Life isn't designed for everything to go your way.
  22. they look good.tacos are never filling haha .. well not two anyway! but i do see your point looking at the pictures. Its a good relatively 'healthy' option though
  23. i dont think there will be a pathway to the right side of the whales (in this image). Its an access road for construction vehicles, a path wouldnt lead anywhere if it went that way currently.
  24. Probably need to access the construction site from inside the ride boundaries.
