It's more about population, economy and domestic & international visitor figures. These impact sustainability much more than weather. Sydney would likely see a theme park (non-water park) before Melbourne.

right... thats plush dino nothing to do with a teddy bear ... which is, well, a bear...
-
Understand what you are saying Liz when it comes to big families, or even small ones, it all adds up. I guess though even if it went up to $120 per ticket (+$20 on current pricing) its still crazy cheap for a year of entertainment for the family. Buy you passes, take your lunch with you and barring maybe a drink or ice-cream you have a full day out without paying a thing on the day. Considering it costs about $60-$80 for a family to go watch a movie together these days, and that's 2hrs of entertainment - the value is easy to see

What's a dinosaur teddy bear look like exactly?

I think you're taking a little too much creative freedom with that statement....

That was never anything more than a pipe-dream... Melbournites will have to be satisfied with Luna Park for now
-
Have not heard anything about a second train JL will pull more visitors but also absorb a hell of a lot too so whilst it would not doubt be more efficient running 2 trains, I don't expect queue times to be increasing any great amount beyond usual peak numbers
-
Same ride. New trains incl. new restraint system. New queue theming. On-board Audio but yet to hear it on my 2 visits. Much better experience now, smoother ride, restraints change the dynamic in my opinion.

No one under the age No one under the age 10 Or 12 would have Any idea who the flintstones are

yep - i think it was the first night and they toned it down/timed the smoke releases after that

its $2 for 1 hour right?? I'd give a 10% lee-way - so round it up to 1hr 10mins - not back by then, then that's your problem - UNLESS it is due to excessive ride/wait times. If it was a case of less than 5mins late - i'd be taking it up with management as a cash grab and lack of customer service.

jesus.... no one is 'gaining', or ganging for that matter, up on you. put forward an intelligent argument, see other peoples opinions as just that, opinions, and dont post stupid pictures telling people to "shut the F**k up" and then whinge when people come back at you for it - and then you might gain some respect.
-
yep... i also think it is more to do with an OH&S/safety point of view. The whole old west town part would be quite dark at night, and it would not be impossible for someone to squirm out of the lap bar and disembark in that area without being seen (there are video cameras but they certainly wouldnt be useful at night)

As much as I love & appreciate Hanna Barbera, having grown up on it, it's lost on today's children. It's just not relevant to them and 90% would not be able to name a HB character outside of Scooby & Yogi. There is so much potential in the LT brand that I'd rather they focus their time and efforts on that. Hopefully we'll see an LTRR replacement in the next 12-18 months.

Probably just your choice of words mate. If you'd said 'I was having such a good time I barely even noticed the 45mins it took me to get on SE' it would have gone straight thru to the keeper without anyone commenting. I do understand what u mean about the anticipation though. I'm sweet to wait that long for a first ride of the day on SE, especially when with some mates, but ask me to do it again later in the day, and I won't be bothered as I've had my SE fix fulfilled already so 45mins feels like 2 hrs.

Another intelligent pearl of wisdom from Kujotess Really? I'm all up for a discussion with someone with differing opinions - but you're not even putting up a valid argument other than 'this is what I think and everyone else is wrong'. Put some intelligence into your posts.

It's definitely true the pricing yourself too low can effect your image or perceived value in the public arena. Given what we have seen in the last 12mths (GL, AA:ST) and to some in the next 12 mths (JL, Constrictor, SW water coaster) I think a price rise next year is definitely justified. From my experience in commercial management, price is not what the determining factor in buying decisions - its value. I'd argue that even at $199-$250 a ticket you get value with the VIP pass. However I would not necessarily agree that the DW world pass would offer the same value at that price point.
-
Agree with all comments above I think $149 for one park, and $199 for all 3 is still great value and would not price people out of the market. Still offer buy 3 get 1 free for families, and bringing in payment plans. A few years back I had no dramas paying $250 per pass with monthly payments by direct debits. Cheapos who think $150/$200 per year for annual passes to 3 parks is expensve clearly have no concept of value or business practices.
-
You's is not a word. And I doubt anyone would not buy a pass if they increased it slightly Raising the prices are common sense to me.
-
Given the amount of positive capex spent over the 3 parks in the past 12 months & what's coming in the next 12 months - I would have NO problem if VIP passes rose in price. I think $150 minimum for 3 parks - and that's still a crazy bargain. You have to remember its $70+ for one visit to MW, as you'd complain if it costs more than $90 to get unlimited access??
-
your survey is extremely limited in range there are no questions regarding how often people visit, no mention of WnW or WWW, in fact it is so limited im not sure why you set it up? what do you wish to gain in terms of statistical data by doing it:?

Is it weird that it's only running mon/tues nights?? I seem to remember It usually being fri/sat nights?
