Well it wasnt “removed” as such, it was stopped and probably to do with the projector i’d assume and at the time not seeing an adequate return on investment opportunity. on that subject, there will be no projector as Bikash has confirmed it will be a “HUGE” LED screen

Why would you pull your kids out of school to go on a ride that is open after school and on the weekend (if it opens again that is?). Oh well, to each their own..

You wait about 10-12mins between cycles in your are in the main room with the video. If you had waited 10mins and then walked out once the video started as your didn’t want to wait another 5, that’s plain stupid as you were already the majority through your wait, and the video is just on timed loop now and not relevant to the cycle. The last 3 times I’ve been in we’ve moved into the second rooms mid video. You are loading in the second room for grouping when the ride has about 2 mins left in its cycle. When the attendant leaves the room while you watch the safety video, they are getting guests off the ride.

Never had “leg bashing” on AA/LW. Yeah it gets a little tighter when you hit the brakes, but I wouldn’t even call that uncomfortable unless you were stuck there for an hour. Head & neck bashing is largely based on where you hold your head and the strength in your neck. If you let you head just flop around everywhere Yeah sure you’re gonna come off with red sore ears, but hold your position or even put your head to one side on the headrest and it’s no big deal.

MDMC is all types of bad regardless of body size/rider type. Outside of the launch it has zero exciting or redeeming qualities due to a poor layout and height

I’d be super happy with the reintroduction of Dive In movies with a post-4pm entry price over summer on movie nights. negligible capital wise unless the projector needs replacing but they can no doubt source one relatively easily

Went last night and thought it looked fantastic.

Of your list of potential rides, only an RMC Hybrid seems a remote future possibility if the market reacts strongly to SW’s Leviathan. The tower is staying put for GD. I believe Once the track and existing station are removed they will link ABC and Dreamworks with a new kids attraction and likely some further theming and amenities to make it one larger family and kids precinct. Beyond the Mack triple launch due end of 2020, they are on the lookout for another thrill ride that I imagine would be for a 2022 release

Can only assume that the increase unreliability and cost to keep it up or maintained effectively outweigh the benefits of keeping it for the summer peak. to be it seems the dripping tap of money/resources being poured in to keep it working has dried up I hope they don’t leave any track running down it, not long term anyway. Next major maintenance period for GD should see that removed From what I have heard, and Parkz has just posted, the station area will be cleared to makeway for a connected area between Dreamworks and ABC 4 Kids.

They were optional. But think you’ll find restraints in an already enclosed capsule that travels at about 1km an hour may be assessed differently in terms of necessity to those on a thrill ride

@Levithian last night was night 7 of 9.

The overall atmosphere was far improved imo.. more scare actors, busier precincts etc. We unfortunately were about 10mins late which wrecked plans to at least get into IT quickly by rushing at rope drop. Fast track rides was sold out by 6:10pm which was disappointing but a lesson learnt to pre-book. Fast track mazes was sold out not long after that Took about 80mins to get into IT, which was fantastically done and a real step up on anything we’ve seen in recent years. Took just over an hour to get into Doll Haus which was decent without being great. Lines for all other mazes looked min 1 hour at this point so we decided we’d leave zombieland for its invariable return in 2020 and having seen Leatherface and Kain in 2018 they weren’t worth further 1 hour waits. It is certainly the first year however that we have got through all mazes, only doing 2 from 5. Certainly could have got another in if we’d wanted, but absolute no chance of getting in all 5 over the night. DCR was a 90min wait at 8:30, SE was 1 hour. Backwards DCR was also sold out at 9 which was annoying given you could see the train cycling with no one in the backwards seats. GL was also having some issues and down sporadically over the night. All in all I think it was a strong improvement, but think it was too busy to get done what you’d want to get done without fast passes, which is ok if you then have fast passes available and not sold out 10mins into the night.
