  1. I heard people camped out overnight to be the first in there. Let's see how much good press that gets DW...
  2. The final scene screen (photo screen) was a little dark from memory, but there we no issues with any of the interactive screens throughout
  3. The last time I rode it - White Christmas all effects were working fine on my first run (fog curtain & projection for the first time in months). Second run through it glitched going through the ship doors and the car actually stopped in the doorway. Doors kept trying to close on the car for about 2mins (my son and I were totally certain we'd be crushed.... I'd hate to think what would have happened if the car behind us had hit us...). Then we started moving again but nothing registered from that point onwards and most screens were frozen. But id say glitch aside, everything effects wise was working
  4. Don't cross contaminate topics! This one is about toilets! ... you'll create a big shit storm...
  5. Some people just can't be made happy... ...unless a coaster forms part of a Pre-show with the major attraction being a walkthrough within an area accessible only by elevated electric means of transport ...
  6. I'd give you 2 votes if I could @djrappa for using 'ball-tearing' in a post.. well done!
  7. Dreamworld itself reopened in December, just six weeks after the October 25 disaster in which four adults were killed while on board the Thunder River Rapids ride. It's this last sentence that REALLY pissed me off. The 'just 6 weeks' is a loaded statement implying the park opened too early. and why do they need to mention that people were killed, every damn time! Say 'the Dreamworld incident/accident' but we don't need to keep being told how many people & which ride every time. EVERYONE KNOWS WHAT HAPPENED!!
  8. Sea World are currrently not in the business of additions, they are a subtraction only business..
  9. Somewhere, @pushbutton is shedding a tear...
  10. That's the major plus side to Buzzsaw. The feeling of impending doom when you go from Vertical to upside down with your arms up... and when you feel your ass come off the seat a couple cms until your legs are pushing into the harness
  11. Seems a perfectly designed place to leave toddlers while you go on a few thrill rides...
  12. Agree with the absolute stupidity in closing one of the two thrill rides in the park, in summer. Add it to the list of poor decision making...
  13. I've never had a ride on DD as yet Never bothered with SR as the lines are always too long for what looks like a short uneventful ride... plus i dont go to WNW regularly (been well over year) Wipeout is a bundle of fun, but for me The Claw is certainly my favourite flat ride at the GC parks, hands down.
  14. Yep... DW will unfortunately be the fall guy for any Tourism based downturns on the GC for the next 12 months probably. A convenient way to absolve companies own failures whilst further putting a media spotlight on DW
  15. Maybe the 'exciting news to come today' tweet by VR studios this morning is supposed to offset the poor trading report...
  16. True, but it is a pretty big mistake to make if you've signed some sort of confidentiality agreement. Either way, I believe if information is made public even by mistake, providing its not a matter of national security, you can't retrospectively make it confidential once it's in a public arena. Obviously if VRTP contacts Richard and says hey this shouldn't be seen, i'd expect him and be happy for him to click 'delete post'
  17. just if anyone is wanting to know the source to validate it is public.. you can register for a free basic account on TenderOnline which gives limited access to certain tenders in the industry. Most, including the hypercoaster, documents are locked and require email approval to access. In this instance, whilst one of the companies has it locked, the other doesnt and you can access site plans, building plans etc etc. Interesting site to find lots of info on (not just theme parks!) as i've found today! Those with a keen eye will also notice the thick black line indicating an access point to the "future development area" just by the northern end of the Top Golf building
  18. Well they are obtained through a tendering website, but anyone can access and view them if they know where to look. You don't need to to prove industry association or membership to access them..
  19. haha...yes you are Westical... and i do agree on the accessibility point, but i enjoy this forum and respect the good rep we have with the parks a little too much to go posting plans without the head honcho's okee dokee
  20. So... I have stumbled upon the final plans etc etc. Now given I've come across these through public access channels only, with only a moderate amount of investigation, would you guys be happy for me to post them, being they are publicly available if you know where to look??? *should specify i am wanting the ok from @Richard or one of the other site leaders/admins before I'd consider posting as wouldn't want to put the forum in the shite, or have VTP offside with us at all*

  22. I believe that Paul was under the impression that the Storm boats are nuclear powered and any collision would have led to a nuclear detonation. With China ruling it an act of war against their camera happy citizens, the world would plummet into a nuclear firefight and in turn a barren wasteland. One minute your sitting in boat stopped at the base of a lift hill, the next minute, 6 billion dead.
