  1. You sound like a massive douche-bag. And a tight ass.
  2. The new burgers at MW at the Gotham Cafe are good quality IMO. I also think these are available at WnW too, not sure about SW.
  3. $10 for a day is very reasonable IMO...
  4. Pretty simple, if u don't like animals - don't go to a zoo. If u don't like theme parks that are as equally or more focused on conservation & wildlife/sealife as they are on rides - don't go to Sea World.
  5. Yeah, but what makes u believe that Wild is a ride as opposed to an exhibit?
  6. i'm still 0 from 10 rides with audio
  7. Fair points made but there is no point complaining about the detail in their responses. Do I think Todd Coates or the exec team moderate the Facebook page?? There is 1 FT staff member that looks after social media for DW/WWW - she isn't in a position to provide u with answers specific to their operational goals and decisions
  8. Ok, safety reasons would stop any guest from being allowed to attempt to climb steps the entire way to the top. You would have to build an elevator, that could not be done retrospectively. 78m on top? If true that's extremely Deceptive from the ground or on the ride for that matter. Still, given the only method of access (stairs). It is impossible
  9. An observation deck on the top of the tower?? WTF? That is without a doubt the most ridiculous suggestion I've ever read. Even more so that tearing down MDMC to relocate the vintage cars there! - how do u get to the top? - where do u stand? The area at the top would be lucky to fit 4-5 people. - safety? Wow.
  10. yeah, we've had about 6 month average rainfall in the past 4 weeks on the GC - not much building going on anywhere. I guess they would have been working on the indoor section, but no-one is going to have photos of that...
  11. so how did you come to the conclusion it is closing permanently from the quote you just quoted from DW? A new enemy will arise in 2013 = temporary closure for refit/retheme
  12. Scooby isn't great for bigger frames. It has to click in either 2 or 3 positions, not just the one, and there is a total weight bearing limit across the 4 passengers
  13. Or they could potentially just brand it to Ardent's other laser arenas - M9 - which are generic and found in a few AMF Bowling centres
  14. I certainly wouldn't consider rapids and log ride as the major/main rides TOT2, Buzzsaw, Claw, Pandemonium, MDMC are open full operating hours
  15. the main rides are open 10-5 still
  16. my father is a similar size ... it really does depend on the ride. Rides i can pretty much guarantee that you can cross out will: MW - Scooby Doo, Space Shot and potentially Arkham Asylum DW - The Claw, MDMC, maybe Buzz Saw
  17. Major shareholders do not determine operating procedure though, so therefore staying a Bank runs DW is completely incorrect
  18. I'm over hearing people say "remove MDMC" as well. It's never going to happen - just don't ride it if u don't like it!!
  19. Certainly not this financial year, as the ASX report had no mention in the forecasts. Possibly something opening early/mid 2014
  20. Wow Tell us what u really feel/think! U have some good suggestions though, I for one prefer TOT2 to TOT1 & think the tunnel is great. Sure it's an eye saw, but I go to parks for attractions/rides not the landscaping. Getting rid of the paddle steamer will not/did not cost them visitation numbers, so why spend money to replace it? Fairy castle has been there for what, a decade? Longer? If its still there it must be a viable revenue stream. With all these suggestions to remove things, people need to think why would they remove them if making money from them? How is that a viable commercial decision? Refurb yes, refresh yes, but remove? If its not making money or increasing visitation, DW no doubt would replace it, but if its been operating for years - it's clearly working. On passes, most of us agree an increase in price point is required, but it would almost been to be an agreed commercial/industry decision between Ardent & WVTP to change the current offerings 'significantly'. Neither park is going to want to risk a loss of market share in the current economic climate.
  21. Why bother?? Demolish the mountain & start again if that is the location they end up considering for a new ride. Anyone under 18 probably wouldn't even remember blue lagoon - so the nostalgia value would be lost on most
  22. Wow...sure thing... Are you 12?? Most of your ideas are ridiculous, there no point putting forward ideas if there is 100% no chance they can possibly occur. They WILL NOT remove MDMC They WILL NOT remove Shockwave They may be not be amazing rides but attract decent crowds every day. They CANNOT buy back the land they sold to Westfield/GCCC - have u seen the Coomera Town Centre Master Plan? It's incorporates a 10km radius around the station - the land is all accounted for - just not a time frame - 2020 maybe? You can't simple 'build a bigger mountain & put a bigger mine ride in. That would involve massive inconvenience to existing rides & infrastructure. Closing multiple rides during construction is not worth the Hassle. Build a steal coaster Build a woodie Sure, we'd all like that - I don't think we'll ever see a Woodie at DW - fingers crossed for a decent steal coaster one day.
  23. It mentions nowhere in the release of the location of the ride. Is it simply an assumption that it is going the LTRR building? Or do u have inside info?
  24. Is it me or is that the worst rapids Ride ever Valhalla looks great though!
