  1. I’m not here to argue, to each their own. I’d happily sit down and have a beer with anyone, vaccinated or not.
  2. That’s because they’ve managed the situation pathetically for 18 months. They’ve been locked up more than any place in the world, so of course getting some freedoms make them happy. In Qld we’ve basically had nothing of note - hence the comment we move backwards while others go forwards. From mid December in Sydney there is no different rules whether vaxxed or not
  3. I'm not interested in the covid vaccine debate in terms of choice - but it's a choice. As a vaccinated person you are just as likely to get covid from a vaccinated person than from a non-vaccinated. You are mingling with unvaxxed people every day now, and will be until the 17th. In my opinion its a giant crock of shit. You are all entitled to your opinions, i respect them, but i personally disagree with segregating society and moving backwards as a state.
  4. As of 17th December, you must be fully vaccinated to enter a theme park. This will no doubt affect attendance at the parks in the summer holidays, and take some of the oomph out of the ST launch, as well as the new slides at WnW. It will be interesting to see how the parks deal with annual pass holders who will no longer be able to attend, as well as people who have already booked White Christmas tickets and can no longer attend. Refunds will have to be issued I assume. there is also likely to be a rush on pre-December 17 event nights
  5. Good to see the buffet is back this year, but hell the prices have jumped. $72 for adults and $38 for kids. Yes you get a free beer/wine on arrival, but a lot of people don’t drink and it includes unlimited soft drink already. everyone getting a dc character Xmas hat also isn’t too appealing. I guess it may keep numbers down which will allow it to be managed more easily, just disappointing imo
  6. Thanks Gazza - yes gangway is what i meant. No idea where i got galleyway from...
  7. Figured I’d stop for a couple of snaps on the way back north. Top section of the galley-way and the turn into the inversion looking likely to be next removed
  8. Passenger photo as we just whizzed pass
  9. For the project to be ready to launch late 2022, imo there would have to be site works in preparation and underway by Easter
  10. AA replacement site prep will need to be well underway by Easter, so unless they are going to do the un-VTP thing and start works before an announcement, I reckon we might see an announcement prior to Leviathan getting riders
  11. I could be wrong, but i don't believe they run on Christmas Eve.
  12. It's a shame the AA replacement isn't underway, or at least the pull down having begun, just because the buzz of activity and seeing the area being prepped creates excitement. If plans haven't changed since i last saw, and they can get it ready for a late 2022 opening, then i think the one-two-three punch of Leviathan, Trident (i reckon we may see this pushed back later than Easter to spread out attractions) and then the AA replacement will more than satisfy the extra $$ for the passes
  13. Drove past 20mins ago and they had cranes positioned either side of the heartline roll. Was driving so couldn't snap a photo but i'd assume if you went past now, that piece would now be removed.
  14. Wearing a singlet - not allowed to ride
  15. who the f**k would wear a jacket or hoodie on a waterslide?
  16. Makes the old Memberships more valuable, despite seemingly missing out on some promos and in park discounts compared to One Pass… $144 a year including fright nights tickets (when it’s on) is a steal
  17. Gold Wally looks worse in person imo… I thought it looks super tacky a few weeks ago at Spooky Nights. Some gold highlights (maybe his hat or something) would have been much better
  18. I thought it was really well done My only explanation for @Itried’s comments would be if they were expecting Vivid Sydney or Riverfire level productions
  19. A seatbelt doesn’t fray overnight, it’s a long gradual process - over months and years. I personally don’t think the park would be waiting until the “oh this is so frayed it no longer works” stage to replace it, detailed inspections would take place and replacements installed during annual maintenance
  20. Good to see Triple Vortex open again today, been a long while.
  21. If only they had the foresight to do this last weekend…. But at least they are fixing the issue now rather than just letting it fester for the remainder of this season
  22. From reports the raft was under-inflated so the buoyancy was below prescribed. The tyre then was caught/flipped over on part of the rapids mechanisms.
