  1. Appears they have repurposed the sheep shearing stage for the petting zoo and stuck cardboard flowers everywhere outside to make you believe the dusty outback themed area is indeed colourful and welcoming. Photos courtesy of Greg’s’ insta
  2. thats disappointing. They've had 9+ months to sort out whatever the issue was (i still have no idea what was wrong it with, it's tame AF)
  3. As Luke said, you can get a Locals Pass, you are just not eligible to use the Gold Council Coast/Destination Gold Coast voucher if you dont reside on the Gold Coast.
  4. You’ll likely find out when everyone else does, which is when the park announces its plans. anyone that already knows the direction being taken won’t be posting about it publicly
  5. Ridiculous that WWF is down until mid December. If it needed the best part of 6 months downtime for the new restraints they should have planned it to be down May - October
  6. Fair enough mate - between your sources and photographers around the traps sharing stuff with you, you have everything covered!
  7. The full video of the test run that @themagician’s screen shot is from was posted on Dreamworld’s Golden Years Facebook page https://fb.watch/7UiImWmLY1/
  8. Haha I didn’t even realise the post I replied to was that old. Shows how long since I opened this thread as it was the post it jumped to when I click the button to the left of the post.
  9. They’d be fighting WNW for the sponsorship dollars, I reckon “Virgin’s Black Hole” has a nice ring to it.
  10. The burrow and new exhibit space opened today. Photos courtesy of VRTP C&E
  11. Maybe to tie in with WinterFest next year.
  12. Whilst both are needed and important additions, especially ST, they need A LOT more over the next 5-10 years before I’d be calling a bright future being ahead. IMO, ST buys them 18-24 months before another big ticket item needs to open (not just begin construction) with the period prior to that focused on smaller projects/offerings like the redevelopment of ABC, new slide tower for WWW. if they wait another 3-4 years before doing something big momentum will be entirely lost again.
  13. Yeah I’m not so sure that’s true in reality, the govt just hides/covers up/fails to report accurate numbers to the population or to any other medical or international body
  14. Which town is that? VTP launched a new radio campaign today promoting Leviathan, Trident, the new slides at WnW, and the new meercat enclosure all opening this summer
  15. Wet n wild don’t do lifts (other than on Mammoth) haha. Can’t be any worse than carrying the tornado rafts…
  16. Just drove past on the m1 south and no testing currently… though admittedly it could have been in the station having just completed a cycle as I whizzed past
  17. Gentle ribbing for the new member… it’s only downhill from here…
  18. Come on mate, like you've never nitpicked when people have made a mistake before?
  19. Given Wikipedia is user input driven, its hardly reliable. I'd probably get info off the actual parks website, which has stated Summer for quite some time.
  20. Then someone who hasn't been around long and no one knows from a bar of soap says "i know, trust me" it comes off wankerish. When a community leader on these forums like @Slick says it, it is because it means "i know, trust me".
  21. That is a good deal. I renewed 10 weeks ago and all we got was $99 deal
  22. The title says 2021. Your post says 2022. if you have a DeLorean, I’d love a ride. if you don’t, there is a strong case you won’t be allowed over the border at that point. maybe 2023 if you’ve have the 22 booster shots?
  23. Nice to see them bowing to public pressure - i know a number of people, myself included, made our dissatisfaction heard. It would have been nice to not be an afterthought however...
  24. It’s weird they include Fully 6 slides 2 & 3 as a separate attraction - yet the content when you click on it is the same as for the standard Fully 6 attraction
  25. So it ended just like it began…
