Japan 2025 Trip - Update
If you have happy entry its a fantastic advantage, and something i wish we had been a little more clued in on before our trip. We knew we had 2 days however, and with my partner having some limited mobility issues, I didnt want us criss-crossing the park back and forward all day as that would have killed her by the afternoon let alone an entire day (or two). So we just segmented the park and for the most part tried to have a reasonable order. Splash was unfortunately closed on our visit. We arrived at about 8:30am right as the gates were opening (we visited in December) and it took us around 30-40mins to get inside, but most people tend to head straight to the big ticket items, which suited our plans. Grabbed a few character photos with Donald & Daisy (who I had missed on my previous LA trip, so to get them straight as we walked in the gate was perfect) and then first ride to your left is Pirates which was about a 5 min wait. Registered for Big Thunder 40th passes whilst in the queue which was for around 11am, and in that gap we just followed the path and ticked off Jungle Cruise (15min wait), Western River Railroad (10min), Tiki room (10min). So within around 2 hours we'd knocked out 4 rides and show. We then booked 40th for Haunted Mansion at 1:30pm and used that gap for lunch, parade, Riverboat, and Country Bear Theatre. We didnt do gadgets until day 2 (wasnt a priority but we wanted to tick off every ride in the 2 days), and it was one of the longer waits, probably about 40mins. @TBoy don't pass up Beauty & The Beast - pay the DPA price to avoid a 2-3 hour wait, and even though it's not a coaster or thrilling - theme wise its the best ride i've ever experienced. It's just beyond imagination and worth the price of admission alone.

Big Banana plans $50 million dollar expansion over the next 20 years
The bypass will absolutely kill that town unless the council spends big to make it a true destination hub for travelers - its not just all on the Big Banana. I'm counting the days until i don't have to drive through there on our 2-3 yearly Sydney roadtrips, it's one of only 2-3 bottlenecks left on the entire trip. With all the bypass's south of the border down to Coffs, its only just over a 3 hour drive which doesn't place it well for a stopover, so it really only has the benefit of attracting Sydney travelers heading north, but if you are only 3 hours away from your destination, and there isn't much to do, you'd just keep driving to your destination.

To be fair, it was a pass holder only event so the GP couldn’t buy tickets… Movieworld gets very little of my money. I buy a one-pass each year, sure, but I never buy meals at Movieworld as I see no benefit to spending an entire day there with their operations so I’ll take my son early for a couple of rides on opening, or late for a couple on closing. With the exception of the white Christmas buffet, MW hasn’t got a cent from me outside of the initial upfront on the annual pass in about 3 years. I’ll do full days at SW and WnW however, and that’s more so for the reason I purchase an annual pass

What ride should replace Doomsday Destroyer?
There are photos showing the wires all roughly cut to the arms prior to dismantling. When have we seen a ride being refurbed entirely removed from site, all ride signage removed, and a large proportion of surrounding theming removed? Coupled with its horrible downtime, maintenance issues and cycling, i think it’s a safe bet to say DD is not returning

Rebel Coaster Incident Investigation Concluded
The line is determined by the platform the item is being shared on, and what the owners/moderators deem suitable/acceptable. Given the video was relevant to the topic, I have no issue with it being posted, however I would have prefaced it a warning and description rather than just “here’s a video of the incident”, however its actual sharing - I think is fine - and I imagine the people making the decisions on this forum agree or it wouldn’t still be there

Probably because JR looks finished. Even if they hadn’t of added what they have since opening day, and continue to add, it was still a well themed immersive attraction. What they are adding now just elevates it further. WoZ isn’t immersive once you step outside that internal queue area. And let’s be frank, it never will be. VTP isn’t going to put millions retrospectively into adding theming to the ride envelopes and surrounds. The most we can ever hope for is some shade sails.
